I think Ms Jennifer Astbury underestimates the damage she may have just done to the estate's reputation by taking such an irrational approach to someone going about their lawful activities. I hope she educates herself to the facts around drone flying (specifically sub-250g) and doesn't make the same mistake again.

Well done Dan. I totally agree that I think you need to be quite firm about the drone. These organisations might not like it. It is against their policy. But the law says it’s ok. And that’s the way it needs to stay. They don’t own the airspace. They are only custodians of the land. They don’t own that. It’s only ours to look after. And they waffle on about children being filmed by the drone. But if that was the aim. Which of course it’s not the aim. But use a tiny camera on your hat. If you wanted to film people. I’m not saying kids. Because I think it’s disgusting. But they completely overreacted

I don't know if you are baiting them with " The drone will breach the perimeter", surely the whole point is that they do not control the airspace above their property, so there is no breach of anything.
You cant film from the air because they have children on site. However you are welcome to film wherever you like from the ground. So presumably the children are only visible from the air...?!?

I just suggest we have some grace for people that are misguided or ignorant of the law... meaning just because some people don´t know the laws on drone flying or have a wrong conception of it doesnt mean they are " bad humans". I think in reality we all have a wrong conception of at least one law.
It is sad that so many people have to continuously lie about things to try to assert their perceived authority or ego...

I respect your right to fly from public and why you do it. I'd rather pay on private land on these places. Knowing it's organised and safe if there are multiple drone pilots operating at once.
So just to recap they have safeguarding issues regarding children on the site but also discharge live ammunition at drones.😨
I presume if they are open to the public, they would know about GDPR and check the law before approaching someone using a drone and before thinking they can try to scare someone with law enforcement.
