You and many others have made a real difference in promoting photography rights which promotes civil rights in general. In addition police behaviour has, out of necessity, improved because of photographers the world over. Great job! Cheers from Canada!
"... looks like a place worth visiting." Exactly. Rather than feeling that they don't need to visit because DJ has shown them everything, this brief glimpse will tantalize viewers into coming for a proper look. If I weren't on the other side of the world I would be interested in a visit.
This video is the best! Thank you for the tour! This is something I will never be able to experience in person! Thank you, watching from North Carolina USA! If and when I ever win the lottery, I will visit this place because you give a short glimpse to a hidden gem of Lever! Thank you again! Thank you Mr. Lever ❤❤❤

I can see it coming to a point where thieves will dress up like DJ audits and change their getaway vehicle for an electric bike. Nobody will dare touch them!
I think this was a 'real reaction' tbh. Genuine guys with no drama queens, lies, threats and crying for the police by arselickers, to make them look 'in charge' when they are nobodies on an ego trip. Well done Big Dave and others ! 👏👌🏻

Good job to the security assisting in educating the others and the other gentleman apologizing. Wonderful chat with the elder gentleman too! 👍⭐⭐⭐⭐ Pre-WW2 O/S maps show the housing estate and the many amenities provided worker families. Along Wood St was three factory units replaced with modern units and car parks with two more factories behind with the long narrow bay roof lines, numerous smaller buildings, storage tanks and rail yard. Noted on maps as the Sunlight Soap Works. The original factory buildings and housing estate along Wood Street appear back to the 1899 O/S map. Port Sunlight and the Lever Brother wiki pages provide a decent history.
The place you said was a monument as you travelled into the village is the Lever War Memorial, a distant relatives name is inscribed on there, built for all the lever Bros employees who lost their lives during the war, its a beautiful village and well worth the visit, ty you for showing it DJ.
Really great video DJ, the man in the garden was fantastic, great to see around the place. My partner used to live in the village, and it brought back alot of memories for her.
Listen to the man! ‘There’s nothing we can do’. ‘We don’t control the airspace.’ Correct that man. The others were a bit reticent to accept his accurate advices. Great member of staff there Unilever. Come on DJ I know ticks don’t get as many views but this must be one.
Loved this video DJ from the polite staff to the history and information given. Shows how much times have changed as well cant see many factory owners build a village with house, schools, parks and other services for their workers to live in now a days.
Wow that was by far the best video yet and thank you so much for the tour of the art gallery that was incredible and yes the sandwich at the end was delicious 😊.
Wow. You crammed loads into this video. There was an audit, nice security people, a visit to Port Sunlight village, chatting to one of the residents about how quirky they are *and* a museum visit too. You've outdone yourself this time.
Lever puts Ford to shame, what a fantastic place, thanks for the Lady Lever tour, the survival of this village is a testament to the integrity of the Unilever corp, !
The message is slowly getting through to some of the security guards. They didn’t need to waste Police time. Dave was a knowledgeable fella and didn’t make fuss.
Really enjoyed youre content today DJ a little different from your normal but very interesting. Maybe you could branch out to show historic buildings like this, possibly churches, cathedrals, museums and country houses and estates
That was amazing to see, think you could easily loose half a day or so just in the gallery. Great to see Dave respecting your right to film and fly irrespective of whether you were actually on Unilever property when doing it, as you said the guy that challenged you was doing his job and was actually very polite compared with most corporate employees you encounter.
I think that is one of your best videos DJ & it was all down to a couple of decent friendly guys willing to speak & tell you something & trying to be nice helpful guys. So well done to them.

The whole area was a swamp when the Lever brothers from Bolton bought it for 12.5 pence per acre. They drained it and built the village and factory there. The adjacent railway line is built on an embankment sitting on tens of thousands of birch branch bundles. The name Birkenhead comes directly from birch-on-headland. The river Dibbin (glorified stream) flows through the factory from Raby Mere so Levers englarged the outlet into the Mersey and created the Bromborough dock. This enabled them to load their products by barge directly onto vessels waiting in the river for berths in the Liverpool and Birkenhead dock system. Co-incidently another of DJ's blogs features the Irish ferry berth at the entrance to the Birkenhead docks. This was created on the former Morpeth dock goods depot site. Morpeth dock was built by the Great Western Railway because they were blocked from running a railway line into Liverpool. They used the same ploy as Levers they loaded goods onto barges straight from the rail waggons and then out to vessels at anchor waiting for berths.
