Just when you thought you had possibly (unlikely but possibly) found a decent copper, they quickly prove you wrong. All that time wasted on the phone, talking crap, fishing for details, desperate for your operators ID or your name etc, report a burglary and all you get over the phone is a crime number for your insurance company, nuff said.
There maybe no enforceable restriction but common sense indicates flying low (say less than 75 feet) around a moving train and immediately around railway infrastructure could distract a driver from observing signals and the line ahead or cause the drone to damage lineside equipment - especially where the line is overhead electrified where in, addition to the contact and catenary wires, there are other wires carrying the traction currents. As to whether the drone maybe affected by the strong EMF field around a train I could not say but it is a possibility given that a train can typically be drawing around 200 Amps at 25 k Volts. A drone becoming entangled with the trains pantograph would be destroyed but could also entangle with the contact wire and cause significant infrastructure damage and train delays

The way you were upfront and completely honest about your intentions made a big difference. Your politeness and the way you presented yourself this time came across perfectly. Great job on improving how you communicate-it really makes an impact!
The operator ID doesn’t need to be on the side of the drone. Just has to be somewhere on it. Accessible without using a tool. It can be written inside the battery compartment. Schedule 9 would need them to suspect you’re flying outside your licence. In your case under 250 would mean they need to see it has an operator ID. Not that they can take it down to run your identification. Just that there is one on there. To force you to show it has one, they have to see you fly it as they would need to see it has a camera. It’s best not to say what drone you have and just ask what they suspect you have. They have no evidence of what you had. So they have nothing

They want details for the police national computer…there are around twenty companies and organisations that have access to it…one being G4S…look it up you’ll see who has access..every time you get stopped or give police details it stays on the data base
If your drone were to fall into the public street and injure someone, The Shard management/ ownership would be the first to disavow themselves of any responsibility. Their concern for safety in this regard is pure gaslighting.
@@TimTheComputerDoctor that will never happen, drones don't require mobile signals, and even if the controller and drone lost signal, it would initiate return to home and land or hover until battery was too low and then it would simply land on its own accord, they dont fall out the sky, unless the operator simply turns of the motors mid flight.
