As a Saints fan, I don't think there is any denying the fact that Mike Evans will be in the hall of fame. I will forever miss the Evans and Lattimore showdowns that we got twice a year.
For the record, the Ravens were open to resigning Clowney, but he said that he wanted to go to the Panthers because his family lives in South Carolina and he wanted to be closer to his grandparents before they pass
@@Frank-mt2hf attitude and his outside behavior and his sportsmanship and his relationship with his teamates had alot to do with. @@Frank-mt2hf Stat wise, and over all Career wise Evans surpasses T.O in many things. They both have at least 11 seasons with 11 TDs or more, Owens Reached 100 TDs in 141 games while Evans did it in 161. Owens has 153 TDs while evans has 106. TO has 15, 934 yds in 219 games while Evans has 12,684 in 168 games. Evans is the only player to break Randy Moss record of consecutive 1k yard seasons since being a rookie. Evans is the only player to tie Jerry Rice's record of consecutive 1000 yds at any point. So they trade off stats back and forth. Evans is for sure a first ballot, especially if he hits another 1k yd season and breaks Jerry Rice's record. Plus Mike has been Nominated 4 times for the Walter Payton Man of the Year award.
I really do not understand some people. I see it in the comments here and otherwise. "Mikes good but not elite or even great." Like wut? I dont know if these are trolls or legitimately think this. I do not understand. I get it. Hes in tampa. A smaller market. I live here. I understand players in smaller markets get overlooked. Happens here with the Lightning as well. I dont have all of Mikes statistics in front of me. So I cant ramble them off. Nor do I think it would change anyone's opinion. These people just pick the more flashy player and call them the best because of a few spectacular plays that become pop culture relevant. Point is. Mike is first ballot. No question. For his on the field play and off. The stuff he does here in the Tampa and Texas community is immense. Not a single controversy and beloved by everyone. Hell, maybe thats the thing. If Mike trash talked his teammates and started being a contrarian and skipping practices yall would begin to love him. Sigh.
Mike Evans maybe hall of fame worthy in our eyes, but he is not as much in the eyes of the voters. Like Lavonte, he’s a quiet producer on a small market team I think he’s more than made his case, but he needs one more Super Bowl and needs to be the key contributor for the biased voters to look his way.
@@MikeHarvey-ol7xr that’s what we hope. I saw Lebatard and others clowning on the Bucs for throwing Evans the ball after the game was over….said it “didn’t count.”
@TeamTimeRiders A year ago, I would agree with you, but I genuinely think the tide turned as he approached tying Rice and stands alone for the start of a career. A few more good years and his numbers will be top 10, maybe even top 5, for catches, yards, and TD's. FDL doesn't have a pro football HOF vote and was banned for life from voting on the baseball HOF for being a clown with his vote.
Is Mike Evans a Hall of Fame NFL player?
Yes

Big facts and he has a ring too no debate
For sure
Idk why this is even a question and I've been saying he's gonna be a hall of famer the last 2 years.
For the record, the Ravens were open to resigning Clowney, but he said that he wanted to go to the Panthers because his family lives in South Carolina and he wanted to be closer to his grandparents before they pass
was a bust anyway
That shows what a good guy outside of the game he is. I give bonus points for a man picking family over career no matter where

Nah, Suh was a Merc, he did the job for the money but he did that job damn well.

Apart from Khalil Mack, the only other guy in the 1st round that could have gone before Evans is Aaron Donald, who was picked at 13.
Mike Evans is the greatest Heisman maker in history. Johnny Manziel has him to thank.
Really enjoyed this video. I like Mike.
Mike Evans now has 11 consecutive 1000 yard seasons he is most definitely a 1st ballot hall of famer
