While I do think that the push (marketing) for girls to be educated worldwide is a factor. I also think the reasons why girls and women seek education is big reason too. Especially when you consider it worldwide. In some places a girls risk death to just go to school, making it feel more important, more worth their while. Boys, weren't risking death. For some 13-year-old girls getting an education means not marrying a man 3x her age. In Africa they had to build schools for girls, boys had schools. And over time boys and men just didn't value education the same, it wasn't life or death, they could do a trade. If boys dropping out school isn't the same as a girl dropping out. Girls with education are less likely to become young mothers.

Before WW2 it was normally women who outnumbered men in many colleges but what happened was the US government as a part of convincing men to be soldiers offered free college and there was a massive surge in males going to college. There are nowhere near as many men going to college because not as many have done military service and most know if it isn't basically free then it isn't going to give a ROI. Women went to college because successful men went to college. The men were successful because it made financial sense to go to college when it's free. Women on aggregate do not serve in the military as much as men, misunderstand what made those men successful and turned the same experience into a liability then said it was discrimination that made the men successful conveniently ignoring that it is Women who overwhelmingly voted against allowing female military participation from ww2 to the Iraq war. Then when women were allowed to participate against the majority of women's vote ( because men voted more in favor of allowing participation) the women did not choose to participate so the sub par outcomes of college are women's fault alone. There was no patriarchy here. Only matriarchy.

Loads of women are graduating. Cool. But loads are in deep shit in debt, so thats good for them. Women use their degree less than men. Women are likely to go into fields that result in lower income than male graduates as well. They are getting nursing degrees. Psych degrees mostly as well. The pattern of life isn’t difficult. Stop putting value on arbitrary things like degrees. Coming from a guy who wasted money on a degree. Anyone with a job, who speaks truthfully, would tell you that any job is learnable without a degree. This problem also has other causes and is not only related to men falling out of education, for it being the primary problem.
When you look at the entire situation and examine each case individually, then you can put a definition of what might be the core issue and the seties of factors causing it.
Generally, us UK men are a bit lazy and look down on education and reading, we disregard the effort to learn and thonk that we are strong and can do the job and learn while we are there.
Men also get a brain freez at the sight of a woman, and everything thatbis rational will stop.
This has to change. Learning is a daily endeavour a life time effort, you can take a break for a few month, but you still need practice what you've learned.

It all starts with a healthy marriage.
Both the man and the woman must be examined before marriage, if either one is not ready fir marriage they should not get married and subject their future children to tourture and eventually bread monsters into society.
These monsters are found in school at an early age, at work place and in sports too. They inflect so much damage into the lives of others. One of these damages, at work, its their affect on people's mental health.
In marriage, one side for whatever reason starts pulling tricks on the other in demand of something. They will not stop until they get it, if not, and even if there is nothing wrong, they will create problems lasting for months and can end in divorce.
Effectively, their children will suffer greately. And we see them everywhere behaving in ways that no one can explain.
