It's not an issue if somebody thought they were 7 years old, it shouldn't bother anyone. BUT if you want to force society to treat you as a 7 y/o, and allow you to go to school with kids and use kid's restrooms and go to children's hospital and be treated only by a pediatrician, NOW it becomes a problem. Big difference between someone believing something about themselves, and someone forcing society to change itself to accommodate their narrative which may not be very scientifically accurate or logically sound.

Actually it's a possibility he could be 7 if he was born on February 29th. He'd be a leap year baby. Therefore every four years would actually be equal to one, so while he appears to be 28 he's actually 7. LOL most leap year babies would still identify themselves as 28 though just imagine they wouldn't be able to get alcohol or see an R-rated movie otherwise
There is a difference between identifying as the opposite gender, then identifying as a different race, height, species, or goofy shit like that. Humans start as females in the womb, and at a certain stage receive a hormone that will cause the fetus to develop as a male or continue as female. Chemical imbalances can cause the brain and body to develop differently. A trans person will never be able to truly change genders, however through hormone replacement and surgery can adjust their body to something they are more comfortable with. It is far easier to adjust the body than it is to rework the brain. You do not have to associate with them, you arent transphobic for not wanting to date a trans person; but try not to be an asshole. In comparison, you cannot be a race you aren't. You can admire and wish to be another race, but there is no biological connection or anything that affects your brain. You also cant identify as a completely different species, or as is a common insult used against trans people, a non-living thing like a car. Height is a physical trait and has nothing to do with trans people either.

When the sperm and egg combine they pass on the genes (chromosome X in the egg and Y or X in the sperm). The sperm determines the sex because if it’s a Y then the child will be XY and coded to be a male. If it’s X then the child will be XX and coded to be female. Like anything else things can go wrong, such as chemical imbalances. I don’t say this to be cruel. I was born with some brain damage to my neural pathways due to trauma during delivery. And grew up with a learning disability because of that. I got much better over time though because as you develop your body does have ability to work around damage. I really think it’s not loving to tell someone to take hormones or to have surgery. It’s been done before in other countries like the Netherlands and they found out taking hormones long-term results in cancer at an early age. And they also found that the rates of suicide actually increased in patients that had these types of medical intervention. Basically, they found over time patients became unhappy with going through those procedures. I know personally what it’s like to not be able to do things you want and to hate yourself because you struggle every day with a mental disability. But, I learned to accept my limitations and love myself. I know if I can do it (and many others with even worse disabilities) then they can get help and love themselves too. I know it’s hard. I have to live with my limitations every day. But I do. And it’s actually been a blessing in my life because I’ve helped others I think too. For example one of my closest friends has Aspergers (high functioning autism) and she’s the only person I know who had a similar beginning in her childhood. Of being separated from all other students and learning in the special education class. And then joining the regular classes pretty early on and being an outcast. But then making good friends finally in high school. I was one of the only people who kept in contact with her. Everyone who is normal tends to leave. I don’t know how to explain it, but you’ll find learning to love yourself is the best way. Those of us with mental disabilities know this is true. Sure, you get help and support when you’re low. But, harming yourself, I don’t see that as good at all, and not really addressing the real issue. So no, it’s not from a cruel perspective to sometimes tell a person that’s a harmful and advise against it.

It's not an issue if somebody thought they were 7 years old, it shouldn't bother anyone. BUT if you want to force society to treat you as a 7 y/o, and allow you to go to school with kids and use kid's restrooms and go to children's hospital and be treated only by a pediatrician, NOW it becomes a problem. Big difference between someone believing something about themselves, and someone forcing society to change itself to accommodate their narrative which may not be very scientifically accurate or logically sound.

Actually it's a possibility he could be 7 if he was born on February 29th. He'd be a leap year baby. Therefore every four years would actually be equal to one, so while he appears to be 28 he's actually 7. LOL most leap year babies would still identify themselves as 28 though just imagine they wouldn't be able to get alcohol or see an R-rated movie otherwise

There is a difference between identifying as the opposite gender, then identifying as a different race, height, species, or goofy shit like that.
Humans start as females in the womb, and at a certain stage receive a hormone that will cause the fetus to develop as a male or continue as female. Chemical imbalances can cause the brain and body to develop differently. A trans person will never be able to truly change genders, however through hormone replacement and surgery can adjust their body to something they are more comfortable with. It is far easier to adjust the body than it is to rework the brain. You do not have to associate with them, you arent transphobic for not wanting to date a trans person; but try not to be an asshole.
In comparison, you cannot be a race you aren't. You can admire and wish to be another race, but there is no biological connection or anything that affects your brain. You also cant identify as a completely different species, or as is a common insult used against trans people, a non-living thing like a car. Height is a physical trait and has nothing to do with trans people either.

When the sperm and egg combine they pass on the genes (chromosome X in the egg and Y or X in the sperm). The sperm determines the sex because if it’s a Y then the child will be XY and coded to be a male. If it’s X then the child will be XX and coded to be female.
Like anything else things can go wrong, such as chemical imbalances.
I don’t say this to be cruel. I was born with some brain damage to my neural pathways due to trauma during delivery. And grew up with a learning disability because of that. I got much better over time though because as you develop your body does have ability to work around damage.
I really think it’s not loving to tell someone to take hormones or to have surgery. It’s been done before in other countries like the Netherlands and they found out taking hormones long-term results in cancer at an early age. And they also found that the rates of suicide actually increased in patients that had these types of medical intervention. Basically, they found over time patients became unhappy with going through those procedures.
I know personally what it’s like to not be able to do things you want and to hate yourself because you struggle every day with a mental disability. But, I learned to accept my limitations and love myself. I know if I can do it (and many others with even worse disabilities) then they can get help and love themselves too.
I know it’s hard. I have to live with my limitations every day. But I do. And it’s actually been a blessing in my life because I’ve helped others I think too. For example one of my closest friends has Aspergers (high functioning autism) and she’s the only person I know who had a similar beginning in her childhood. Of being separated from all other students and learning in the special education class. And then joining the regular classes pretty early on and being an outcast. But then making good friends finally in high school. I was one of the only people who kept in contact with her. Everyone who is normal tends to leave.
I don’t know how to explain it, but you’ll find learning to love yourself is the best way. Those of us with mental disabilities know this is true. Sure, you get help and support when you’re low. But, harming yourself, I don’t see that as good at all, and not really addressing the real issue.
So no, it’s not from a cruel perspective to sometimes tell a person that’s a harmful and advise against it.
