It felt so serious and engaging in the first black ops, even though the actor of Kennedy wasn't spot on, but the writing is perfection, you felt like there is an actual threat happening, the second felt like a movie
And not a very good one at that. They started off by playing down the threat and then having Ronald Reagan make a half assed excuse

@Sgt. VinDoy 5 months late but oswald was still the second shooter in BO, when mason brainwash system thing started to go off, he said "Oswald compromissed" meaning that oswald was caught in the act while mason escaped (well not really)
It was a very tense time.
Meeting JFK was a whole mission/experience and display of great game design by the devs in Black Ops. Cold war is just a cutscene in a meeting room
It's pretty much an automated cutscenes, but it's cool cuz I can move the camera
The Cold War scene would feel weird if it was first person honestly. BO1 is more so creepy Cold War espionage about brainwashing, CW is more 'The world is at stake and I'm counting on you to take down this enemy".
Jfk had an entire mission built around him, you can see how powerful he is just by the amount of people you have to go through first in order to see him. When you do see him it's in a rarely used room within a room that saved civilization, when you talk to him, he speaks directly to you the player and with only a few sentences not even a speech. While Regan's introduction is in a cutscene
It's almost like bo1 is a better written story. To add on, meeting JFK in bo1 also shows you how Mason is affected by the numbers while cold war just does it because... bo1 did it.
Seeing lee harvy oswald, jfk entering the car, and Mrs Kennedy at the funeral no matter how many times i play the game always gives me goosebumps. The kennedy's cant catch a break
To be fair the entire Black Ops mission was essentially a cutscene. Although there are a few first person shots of you walking through the Pentagon you can't control the player as far as I remember.

I think the Reagan scene was so lifelike that I was just mesmerized, but the McNamara and Kennedy scene was so badass it’s hard to beat

Ok the Cold War scene is quite good, but it feels like something out of a movie. The Black Ops sequence, the way the player feels trapped in Mason, how we're encouraged to watch out for any unusual people as we're told "they are watching us", the numbers being whispered in the background, Mason's twitches and hallucinations... I just feel like all that can only be achieved in a first person videogame. And Call Of Duty has forgotten that over time
I also love how they included James Baker, Reagan’s Chief id Staff, as well as General Alexander Haig.

Well America pretty much is the free world. I'm a brit who left the UK for the USA and couldn't be happier. You really can do more here than in the EU umbrella. There is a reason most countries follow aspects of American law and governance (such as the rise of leaders called Presidents rather than Kings/Queens) and in America you have a lot more freedoms such as the internet. In most foreign countries you have to use a VPN to just see normal stuff an American can see. Of course, this isn't to say America didn't used to be much more free than it is now. Especially with the coronavirus marital law thing going on, something that never would have happened in the past.
