Yeah, I don't get this. MW2019 introduced the old cast with new voice actor/actresses and no one even care. Cold War did the same and everyone lost their minds. Price sounds 20 years younger than he previously was, Gaz sound younger, Ghost sounds like Christian Bale's Batman. Like cmon people, all they had is one year and they even have to split the production between two studios, the new one did a good job of the voices.

The design of the chipped Smart Card in the iteration we see it in today wouldn't come about until the 90s, and the actual Common Access Card itself wouldn't be introduced until the early 2000s. A bit of a continuity issue but only for someone who knows what they're looking for.
@Michael Dinneweth BOCW was RUSHED. Hudson was out of place . Mason and Woods had no real purpose in the story, and the story took itself way to seriously. BO1 was like an action movie. Sure the stakes were ridiculously high, but it bordered on comical. That was the point. CoD isnt supposed to be a deeply fleshed out story. The story is an excuse for letting games take place in interesting backdrops. BOCW advertised itself as a game where you explore the ideological struggle and tug-of-war between the USSR and USA. But it didn't have enough time to explore these concepts, so you have overly serious characters that are barely fleshed out acting way too fucking serious all the time. Adler could have been replaced by Hudson, with Mason and Woods being the ones treating Bell sort of distant and suspiciously (due to Bell being a former Perseus agent) and they could have added a mission or two where the Soviets try to find Perseus (since its stated that the group didn't even hold allegiance to the Soviets).
@@dubsnake9118 BOCW was rushed because it was not suppposed to be BOCW. In fact, the game was supposed to be developed by Sledgehammer Games along with Raven Software. Due to creative difference with each other, Treyarch took over the development and made BOCW.
