For Mayael's Aria, may I direct your attention to Ramos, The Dragon Engine? Gets three +1/+1 counters for just casting the Aria. And the pitch 5 counters, and 2xWUBRG usually means you get even more counters and even further ahead on board. Usually a one-turn clock.
Nice find for your Shanna build with Mercy Killing. I think Myth Unbound would also be a great addition to your commander sacrifice theme you have going there. Reduces your commander tax to 1 instead of 2 (and scales with the game) and draws you a card every time your commander dies.
I just put Metamorphosis in my mono green Spirit and Arcane budget deck a few days ago because it synergizes so well with Soulshift! You can sac an 8 mana creature with soulshift 7, have it bring back a spirit to hand, then use the mana to cast that spirit. Its really good synergy with the "Whenever you play a Spirit effects."
Minions murmurs is incredible I put that and the other black draw equal to devotion to black into all of my black aggro decks as soon as I saw them a few months ago. Highly recommend running it it does work.
Metamorphosis is insane with that ooze with storm! Think about it - storm decks are exactly the kind of decks that want ritual effects and it lets you reuse him
Mercy Killing is for me easily one of the best Selesnya spells ever. It fits either in a go-tall or go-wide strategy and also acts as a removal. I use it in my Drizzt Do'Urden deck and it mostly target my own big, chonky creatures to create an army of elves and make Drizzt just as big as what just died. Great fit. Great video, as always! :)

I’ve been adding last card on your list to my token deck seem in my elf and zombie deck and so sweet in them, it’s on par with distant melody in my decks seem number time use it draw 7 for full hand or just draw some zombies to discard so I can reanimate later 😍😍

Mind Slash its a pretty good budget alternative to Mindslicer for a Meren Deck, i used to run it and did pretty well. Also, for those interested in running Mayaels Aria on their decks, i highly recommend you put a Mossbridge Troll. At the upkeep in response to the Aria trigger, activate his abilty, tap him and anything that adds to the 10 power and you instantly get a 25/25 for the W. Even on the age were everyone has an exile spell, the free automatic regeneration it has makes it surprisingly hard to kill.
I feel like Mind Slash is more of a budget alternative to Sadistic Hypnotist (You don't get to choose, but it discards two instead of one and is "free" to activate, so you're more likely just dumping their entire hand anyway.
Mayael's Aria works well with Arcbound creatures and with The Ozolith if you have sac outlets. Also any other beasts that allow you to move their +1/+1 counters when they die.
I have a 4C Omnath deck that uses Mayael's Aria with the landfall power boost creatures and Sphinx on the Second Sun as an alternate wincon. I've already won about 5 or 6 games with it, Skyclave Pick-Axe being the real MVP!
I've been trying to make a red-blue 'swapping power and toughness' deck with Will & Rowan Kenrith as the Commanders. I've been having trouble finding cards that fit the theme. Any suggestions?
Obviously Dwarven Thaumaturgist and Merfolk Thaumaturgist. And Serendib Sorcerer because he's hilarious with the Thaumaturgists (same as the different versions of Will Kenrith). Mannichi, the Fevered Dream to do it to all creatures.

Pls do an end of the year special where you make a top 10/15/25 or something cards from every color (and one for multicolor as well) you should be putting in your decks
Have you covered Elfhame Sanctuary yet? 1G enchantment that gives you the option to skip your draw step to search for a basic and put it into your hand.
I've had aria in my uril deck forever. Because he's tron and gets extra buff for equipping and that's the whole point, making him 20 power is VERY easy. He's difficult to interact with too, so I've won a few games with aria just for having it.
Measure of Wickedness would be good in Ghen Arcanum Weaver. Set it up, play measure, sac something to ghens effect Give opponent the enchantment. Rinse and repeat. On top of the manabarbs and draw hate in my build this is just extra spice
I would be putting Mercy Killing in a Ghave, Guru of Spores deck with anthems in it. Also, don't forget about Sanguimancy in a black deck of some sort.

Meishin, the Mind Cage is such a brutal card in a hand-size matters deck. I once had it out with over 20 cards in hand... It just stopped the game single-handedly.
maybe have some +1/+1 counter theme in the deck? there are a good amount of mono blue creatures that get counters off of card draw. Then you can close out the game instead of stalling it.
Meltdown is a Legacy all-star. With it's efficiency, I'm surprised it doesn't see more play in commander. I suppose people don't like how its symmetrical and would rather opt for Vandalblast, but Meltdown just has so much potential to get so much value for so little mana.

Mephidross Vampire could definitely go into my Kazarov (Sengir Pureblood) creature pinging deck. Mind Slash is so dang good for discard. I could definitely use more copies.

i should tell you guys the easiest way of them all to win with Mayael's Aria and thats the Dark Depths thespian stage combo marit lage is a 20/20 and more importantly they are stuck with removing the enchantment or a exile for marit because she's indestructible
At second thought, with a heliod on the field it's infinite life too cus it doesn't specify it needs to damage an opponent's creature, just *any* creature.
kamigawa was probabily an awful set for standard but it had so many interesting cards. lot of wierd design space oddity. ironically probabily still the best set for commander even after legends
Personally, cards that say "you do this and you win the game" defeats the spirit of the game. I think you should just stick to getting their life total to 0 or the commander damage. Just seems mean to have a card that alters the rules in that way.
ugh fuck minions murmurs sorry but hard disagree i ran this in like 5 different decks and every single time it let me down, i'd rather run sign in blood and sign in blood sucks. its only good when you have a big board, and if you have a big board generally you don't really need to draw cards, but if you have no board and no cards in hand it's total garbage to top deck i hate that card so much

I think the best fit for Meishin is Arcades the strategist, because all your defenders have 0 power anyways, so it is basically asymmetrical

Can confirm, I love it in my Arcades deck, it's a huge spell to lock down the board.

The Mind Cage should def be in any deck where you're looking to deal damage with a creatures toughness, like an Arcades deck.
Nothing like losing to a -36 power creature I can tell you.

Been playing Meltdown for awhile myself. Does so much work in Gruul if you have a lot mana dorks and not many rocks!!
Great episode Demo. Mehpidros Vampire is a great fit for Timothar so you can combo off with things like blood pet and lifeline.
Also can mow down the whole board with a Triskelion in play :)

Mephidross also turn each vampire into a vampire-vampire. Efectively doubling the Coat of Arms and other tribal effects (worded the right way).

If you have the aria and Zacama you can cast onward, berserk or unleash fury. This gets you a creature with power 20. =)

I'm not sure of counters are affected or not by Meishin's ability. But in a combo deck all you need to do is stall a turn or two to get ahead.
Hamletback Goliath + Mayael's Aria, especially if you can flash in Aria.... apparently size does matter.
Pact of the serpent is great for all tribal decks with black in the mana base.

Mind slash is great in my Nath deck. I can empty hands with enough mana. Nath makes a replacement token to sac right away

I play measure of wickedness in my Blim the comic genius deck and oddly enough has won me more games then must of my other (bomb cards).
In a Zacama deck with a hydra and just cast something like Invigorating Surge on the hydra.
