I LOVE Psychic Possession. Such a fun card. Works great with Teferi's Puzzle Box. Skip your draw step so you don't wheel, AND when your opponent that Psychic Possession enchants does wheel, you get to draw the same amount they do.
I like Proteus Staff in a temporary theft deck like Yasova. The owner shuffles, but the controller gets the polymorph. Also, the most hilarious play I have ever seen with a Proteus Staff was when Player 1 had a Blightsteel Colossus in play, so Player 2 cloned it and then used Staff to tuck the original. Player 1 revealed Swamp, Dark Ritual, Swamp, Phage the Untouchable - and went from terrorizing the table to dead! Of course, now we all had to deal with Player 2 and his Blightsteel clone, but we were all laughing.
Want to give you a huge shout out. I know a lot of weirder cards, so most of these are not new to me. BUT... HUUUUUGE shoutout for introducing me to Grim Feast. I got 50 life from it today on my Zacama Fight Club deck. Love the channel. Keep it up!
was testing out priest of yawg in a rakdos deck and liked it but wasn't running enough artifacts to always be useful, I replaced it with soldevi adnate cuz always had black creatures to sac for mana of course sac itself at worst. thx for vid!
I felt the same way, sacrificing artifacts is a very red thing nowadays which hasn't been easy making it work when stuff like treasures are very prominent.
Psychic spiral is always a jawdropper in a game. A guy milled the entire table passed the turn smirking. Everyone else scooped, I played it cool, untap, upkeep sacrifice scribe of the mindful, return psychic spiral to my hand (at this point the guy begun sweating) aaaand how the turntables
I had a Primal Forcemage deck back when people played things besides Commander. The central combo was Forcemage, Pandemonium, and Whitemane Lion. Patagia Viper and Cream of the Crop were also pretty choice.
Don't forget that Forecast is like Channel; can't be countered unless you Stifle it. With Proteus Staff, it gets around indestructible as well as graveyard recursion strats.
psychic battle might also be good in a deck full of high cmc stuff the most obvious for this is Animar soul of elements since it will almost be impossible to lose the pshyic battle since nearly everything is higher cmc and you can also manipulate the top card in animar
Soldevi Adnate is also good if you haven't covered that one before. It's like Priest of Yawgmoth except you can sac black creatures too for the same effect.
Psychic Possession also auto kills any player that controls a Consecrated Sphinx. They draw a card, which makes you draw. Sphinx makes that player draw 2 since you drew a card, which makes you draw 2, that the sphinx now draws 4 from. This turns into 8, 16, 32, and right around this point at 64 the person will be killed immediately from over drawing. And if you don't wanna go too deep with your Aura then you don't have to. It's a may ability, Sphinx is not. Kinda cool interaction there
Proteus Staff is AMAZING I have it in my Xyris Thousand-Year Storm Deck where I have three creatures Ulamog, Hullbreaker & Tidespout I can use it as defense or I can Staff a snake and get an Ulamog 33% chance also run polymorph 🤫
psychic battle is also good cause if your opponents want to get rid of it, guess what? they usually have to target it. so in a way it can kind of protect itself.
Primal forcemage reminded me of one of my favorite underplayed cards, valor in akros! So many times in token decks people are not expecting the HUGE boost to my team out of nowhere from like a secure the wastes or something like that!
I would just like to thank you so much for brining my attention to Psychic Spiral, I have a Gyruda deck and i don't want to run cards like Thassa's Oracle because I find i boring but with Psychic Spiral I can kill a trouble some opponent and reload my deck. Plus I can do this with Torrential Gearhulk and cast it from my graveyard even if I mill it.
I'm not sure if you've covered this card yet, but Lure of Prey is a great card for green stompy decks. Got a Xenagos deck put togther and finally played it and used Lure of Prey to drop Atarka, World Render on T3. I didn't but I could've played Xenagos and swung with Atarka for 24 flying damage on T4.
Psychic Possession isn't even card disadvantage. Even if who it's enchanting isn't drawing extra cards they still have their draw step, which you will also draw in. So it's a delayed draw at worst, and insane draw at best. Your draw is also a MAY, so you can't get decked out.

I love making decks where the commander can fetch out a specific card and use it as my commander, building a couple of Arcum Dagson decks in a similar vein, but do you have any cool green creatures that would be fun to build around? I think Yisan would make a great version of these decks

Fast forward about a year or so later, I needed a few more cards in my Nekusaur deck and I just tossed it in, did not think much of it at the time. However, its since become a great source of extra damage. In my play group, there are several decks that do tutoring/searching and theres alot lf deck shuffling that goes on, so naturally probe ends up helping me alot here.
Just put psychic surgery in a deck because my playgroup really likes to tutor and ramp. Youd be surprised how insane that card can be in the right situation.
I think with Phychic Battle you don't even have to bother having the highest cmc card on top of your library. Let's say somebody is trying to cast Reanimate on Elesh Norn, as long as the one who's actually choosing the target is not him, the outcome will be the same.
As a newer player, it always confuses me when people call something a polymorph effect since I always think of the cards that turn your opponent's creature into a 1/1 frog as a polymorph. I think Transmogrify effect is cleaner since there aren't multiple cards with that in the name that have different effects, but that's just my little nitpick.
It's because of the card "Polymorph". 3 and a blue for a sorcery to destroy a creature and it's controller gets the next creature in their deck similar to "Proteus Staff". You can use the the official "gatherer" site or "scyfall" to search for any card that's ever been printed to find specific wordings and rulings and inspire new deck ideas.
The Adnate says artifact creature. The priest could do both. But the Adnate can do black non-art creatures so, it depends what your deck is running. Why not both?

The main difference is it allows sacrificing regular non-creature artifacts, but I feel like there's more mana cost heavy creatures and artifact creatures than high cost artifacts that are sacrifice material in Commander. And yeah, you're right, no need to choose when you can have both. 🙂
This is why I love this channel/series, Proteus Staff sounds like such a fun card and I didn't know about it despite playing during the mirrordin block. Debating on throwing it in my Adrix and Niv or another token deck to throw in some fun randomness

Another Way to Use enchant target player, use any exchange card, so as long has he can`t draw card he will never draw a card again

I've played Primal Forcemage in Xenagos, God of Revels and with him you get a +6 Attack bonus which is really nice.

Another great deck for Proclamation of Rebirth is Shadowborn Apostles, specifically the Athreos variant.

Primal forcemage works is amazing for my tolsimir friend to wolves deck. Pumps the wolves before they fight other creatures

Primal Forcemage is auto-inclusion with Wild Pair! Cast a 1/1, stack the triggers so it gets +3/+3 first, then tutor for a 4/4! 😊

Proteus Staff is great in an Eldrazi deck. Pay three mana to get rid of a spawn or scion token, and replace it with a big nasty annihilator creature.
I like to use "partners with" on my opponents to get them to shuffle their libraries

I had a 60 card deck with “primal forcemage” and “Nacatl War-Pride” all those copies come in huge

You can't tuck commander creatures
You can tuck your own, and you can tuck there's, they just have the options to put it back to command zone
