Yea sure
I do believe in the evil megami theory. Megami will trap sukuna instead of yuji prob with a binding vow and sum help from yuji on the outside. He will pop the merger and will be the final boss. I wonder what happens when you. Mix all Ten Shadows into one. There are still some tricks up the sleeve for the ten shadows.
The forshadowing I just came across for the Sukuna uncle reveal in chapter 184 is insane.
I was meaning to ask you, if Sukana’s shrine is based on a kitchen or cooking, what would Yuji’s be based on??
Someone asked it 💪🏾

Laser will be in line with Yuji, including techniques he referenced in the begining of JJK like spirit gun
Probably working similar to Piercing Blood
Gonna be some anime reference lol
Also works cuz surgeons use lasers sometimes as well.
A surgeon cuts to save life

A butcher cuts to end life (also to cut meat in parts for meals to be cooked)
Well said
yuji's flames = cauterization
yuji's hands are enveloped in flames, which can add to the power of his punches by burning sukuna
Damn i was actually thinking about that
Yeah you pretty much got it on points yuji's cursed technique is basically between life and death, a skilled surgeon navigating the fine line of healing and harms. Conversely sukuna's technique embodies raw power and ruthlessness efficiency resembling the Swift and decisive Strokes of a Butchers blade cutting through obstacles without hesitation. But are they so different yuji and sukuna appear to be Polar Opposites in terms of their Cursed techniques but sukuna can't find love or rather meaning in other than fighting and yuji hates fighting because it means the death of others thats why he never smiles while fighting , anyone can be butcher but not anyone can be a surgeon, sukuna took the easier route
@@BoyceB-ec5xhI hope ya'll getting A's on your english tests jeez 😂
I think the flashbacks are an important detail people forget. Yuuji give people memories of a fulfilled life. Sakuna gives people a fulfilled death.
thats awesome way to put it
Itadori is bound to have some wild technique interpretations if he's watching things like Human Earthworm 4 in his spare time😭

Transcendent Mental Analysis. Dismantle physically takes material objects apart, its complement mentally takes jujutsu apart. It’s opposite maybe a creative reinterpretation.
Sukuna sees Kenjaku perform cursed object creation once and mentally dismantles the jujutsu to comprehend it. Next, he’s able to do the opposite of dismantle to ‘reinterpret’ the technique into 20 separate cursed object fingers.
Before the kitchen theme I thought shrine was dismantling and the reversal putting together: Sukuna breaking apart someone technique and then incorporating it to his own.
But now I think the opposite of "cooking and consuming someone for your benefit" is more like "sharing a meal or experiences" the thing he literally made like 3 people do.
I love this whole viewpoint on the contrast between yuji and sukuna along with the whole difference in the shrine technique due to the different eras and differences in the individual self in a whole causing the whole sukuna the butcher and yuji the surgeon
Sukuna is not only evilmaxxing, he's also looksmaxxing.
Yuji on the other hand (get it) is not only fistmaxxing, but also victimmaxxing
Sukuna and Yuji having the same technique and it being different due to their views of the world reminds me of how Shirou and Archers Reality Marble change due to how they both view the world
I love this take. Especially how even down to his punches yuji is using crazy precision
I’ll take a stab at a wild theory just to see if it has legs later. Maybe we’ve already seen the reversal as a combining technique. Sukuna used a nasty curse marinade to adapt to Megumi’s body, which is cooking themed. Maybe the literal concoction isn’t the technique but kind of the binding vow conditions to make his reversal usage more effective and Sukuna’s helper is the best person at preparing that for him. So instead of cleave and dismantle, we have something more like stir or mix. He uses it not to separate something into pieces but to consume or combine things into himself.
I could see the Reversal of Furnace being a form of water manipulation or projection, representing washing food. But likely Sukuna wouldn't like using that because water isn't as destructive of an element as fire, and he rarely uses Furnace unless he needs to or thinks it's ironically funny. Yuji, however, I could see getting a lot of milage out of that, especially if he were to use it to say counter Furnace by extingishing the flames.
Bro a little bit of cooking
Freezer
water is also often association with cleansing and purifications, which would be fitting since its the opposite of what the King of Curses do (corrupts and consumes everything he touches), it makes sense tbh, but I personally think this role of 'purifying what Sukuna has tainted' was already fufilled by Angel, as little screen time as they had, so idk. Maybe reversal of 'Furnace' will also be related to burning, but with simple plain heat instead of actual uncontrollable flames, so they can be fully manipulated them and use them for beneficial purposes, you know, instead of focusing on the destructive part of heat (Flames), the reversal would do the exact opposite (duh) and focus on the good parts of heat (like the preservation of life and/or generation of light). Idk I managed to express what I wanted to say lol
EDIT) I guess to summarize it:
Regular -> Offensive Heat, impossible to fully control just let it loose and see it explode, can only harm. Focuses on death
Reversal -> Defensive Heat, easy to control, can only do good. Focuses on stopping death
would also make sense as to why Sukuna never used it, since he probably would think of such ability as disgusting and only belonging to the weak that care too much for others.
So sukuna rct could be washing dishes😂
One aspect of Yuji's CT that's has kinda been overlooked now that he has Shrine is the Death Painting part.
We know the Death Paintings are inspired by a Buddhist style of painting that depicts the 9 stages of decomposition.
Considering how Yuji has RCT now the Reverse of those Techniques, assuming they're in some way related to their stage of decomposition, would combo very well with this interpretation of Yuji's Shrine!
Since Yuji's Cleave and Dismantle are symbolized through cut-out lines like that of cut-out templates perhaps the reversal could be using "glue" to put something or someone back together in a more efficient way than using RCT on someone else. Got your arm or leg cut off? No problem, just have to "glue" it back on instead of regenerating it from the stump.
Also, it would be really cool if Yuji forms the Kamino Fuga into a sniper rifle or uses it similarly to how he and Choso shoot the high velocity piercing blood.
This makes sense since he already reattached his leg.
Gege never introduced Hanami's domain expansion, so I wonder if Yuji will have some sort of domain expansion that incorporates the earth? Trees etc. are symbolic for growth/rebirth and resilience. No matter how many times you cut down nature, it will grow back and overcome. It's fitting because no matter how many times Sukuna has cut Yuji down, Yuji comes back, and that bothers the hell out of Sukuna.
Just how Sukuna used Dismantle to target space, Yuji could also use Dismantle to target something more ethereal and conceptual, he may learn to target the soul with dismatle or even further he might learn to target the barrier between souls of Soyboy megumi and Sukuna
i really like your interpretation of the differences between Yuji and Sukuna’s Shrine technique, i hadn’t really thought of the implications of the differences until now, and I think you’re spot on in the theming.
My personal theory is that the technique brings forth aspects of the place where the user feels most comfortable or has the most sentimental attachment, with Sukuna’s “Shrine” being a kitchen and Yuji’s a school. I think it makes sense with Yuji being a teenager at this point and having spent most of his life in school, having met all of the most important people in his life in school, and his “Cleave and Dismantle” being denoted by safety scissors and a dotted line much like you’d see in a classroom as an arts and crafts assignment.
Following this theme, I think it would be really interesting if Yuji didn’t necessarily have a “Fire Arrow” of his own as schools don’t typically have furnaces, but maybe a “Janitor’s Closet” (lol) or something where he could pull out a technique to extinguish Sukuna’s fires, further adding to the theme of those two being two sides of the same coin. Where Sukuna’s shrine serves solely to destroy, Yuji’s may be used to clean up Sukuna’s messes in a sense.
I just realized an additional detail. Yuji using the black flash might as well act as a harsh defibrillator to bring Megumi back. The hits also keep landing in the same spot.
If we keep with the kitchen thing, maybe the reversal would be along the lines of mixing bowl or kneading? If cleave and dismantle can be used indiscriminately cut and break things down then mixing bowl/kneading would be to recombine things in an alternate form. To remake or reshape things.
You could think also in the sense of link's fuse ability from totk. Where he could use it to make cursed tools
To reshape Todo's soul so his hands regrow and he recovers the boogie woogie. Todo gave Yuuji hopes in his darkest moment. In this way he could do something in return (and hopefully be less eager to offer himself as a sacrifice, having an useful CT to fix some of Sukuna's/Mahito's messes instead)
Talking about the reversal of Shrine being regurgitating and vomiting, Yuji does "vomit" blood on Sukuna's face to attack him. Foreshadowing maybe?
Yuji's version of the "Furnace: Open" is going to further your theme of being a surgeon. That means it'll probably be a soldering iron. Either that or literally just fire punches
Guys if there is technique reversal of shrine he technically could put gojo back together and was cutted in half by the dimensional slash its still a buffed up cleave so he could have revived gojo
I thought that the scissors with the dotted line also represented how Yuji is still learning shrine. Just as when you’re a kid you have the same pattern when learning to cut with scissors.
Regarding the reversal of cleave/dismantle - by cutting, cleave/dismantle split one thing into two.
The reversal could merge two things into one.
Just imagine if Yuji used it to re-combine himself with Sukuna and struggle to take control of their shared body - a single body split between three souls (Yuji, Sukuna, and Megumi).
This seems like a very good way - narratively - for Yuji to try to save Megumi.
This might also give an additional possible explanation for Sukuna's appearance - maybe the extra arms, etc, aren't from his twin, but from merging with someone else.
Idea: Since Shrine has 2 techniques, one cut-based and one fire-based, maybe the reversals would swap the roles?
I’ll only talk about Sukuna’s interpretation of the slices and Open, because Yuji’s interpretation is too vague for now. So, with Dismantle and Cleave cutting apart, perhaps their reversal uses heat “slashes” to weld things together. It could be used for welding enemies onto the ground, sticking them to a wall, deterring them in general, etc. aka stuff Sukuna doesn’t care about and wouldn’t use, explaining why he hasn’t shown it.
Open, now, is a fire arrow with a huge explosion radius, so taking the reverse of that could be a fast, piercing projectile or, to better follow the cooking theme, a huge slamming attack that crushes a huge area, like a giant meat mallet.
Just a random thought that I've had for a while, thought I'd bring it up here because you mentioned reversals in the video: I feel like the reverse of blood manipulation would be soul manipulation, or idle transfiguration. This would be fitting ESPECIALLY because of the interactions we've seen between Yuji and Mahito ("I am you.")
Cleave and dismantle reversal
Could be the joining of objects and things with and without cursed energy. Like regeneration
And how this could play in the possible benevolent shrine, is that all attacks or damage done, is regenerated.
So for if sukuna were to cut Yuji, Yuji would immediately heal from it, as he's reformed his damaged body using the reversal of cleave
Even if Maki takes damage in the domain, she'd quickly recover from the reversal of dismantle.
If this is backed by RCT, then he could even heal people that had entered the domain with injuries
And if that's possible, combining the cursed technique reversal and RCT, and Yuji could then theoretically manipulate the soul by either healing it, separating it or joining it to something else.
So helping Megumi to regain his mental strength and separating him from sukuna, can all be possible in this benevolent shrine idea
Its weird seeing someone share theories I made.
When it was confirmed dismantle/cleave can target concepts like space. I made a theory that if Yuji inherits it he can use it to target space between megumi and sukuna's soul. His fist already has the same effecy so why not his slashes. I made the theory before it was confirmed he has shrine.
Also made a theory that dismantle/cleave reversal can stitch souls together. Again due to them being able to target concepts. But I made the theory that Sukuna was the one going to use the reversal to help Megumi and his soul become one. Because due to Yuji's attack weakening them.
Dismantle reversal might allow for two completely separate things to connect in an unnatural way. Basically just magic super glue
If Yuji's interpretation effects both his technique and his domain, and if the end of the fight is going to be Yuji opening his domain, then I can see him using his domain as surgical cuts that specifically target the divide between the body and the soul, just like all his physical attacks have been, in fact, that might have been the reason his attacks have been able to effect the soul all this time, because he had been using his technique subconsciously on all his attacks.
I had a theory that cleave and dismantle reversal would be a type of "Mend". I was really hoping he would mend someone else's hand onto himself so he could complete two-handed signs again. Also, this kind of could be what we see Yuji do with his foot. Even more crazy idea depending on how well Yuta copied Shrine and if mending things is the reversal, we got ourselves a way to put some people back together
you are joking? it's just blood manipultation plus RCT, I'm pretty sure Choso did something similar too.
My moneys on a kind of "Paste" to effectively stitch up two separate portions of an object
If Sukuna's slashes are cleave and dismantle, then maybe Yuji's reversal of it would be assemble and mend. One, which pieces and stitches things together, and another which reinforces them. Yuji could use it in a bunch of really creative ways, like to stitch a person's limbs together to immobilize them without killing them, or to create and reinforce barriers with his terrain. Or more obviously, to restore peoples' wounds.
Maybe Yuji will be the one to teach Sukuna about love. Sukuna emphasizes on being laser focused on your ideals to reach the realms of Gojo satoru while he was beating the shit out of Jogo. Yuji will directly counter this philosophy and show him that helping and protecting people is a valid philosophy to attain absolute mastery over jujutsu sorcery.
"I AM A SURGEON"
-Itadori probably
i just got a theory on what sukunas technique really does
what i think shrine is is that it allows the user to take the techniques of a person/curse that they eat thru a ritual of sorts and that the slash/cleave technique was jins who he ate in the womb, maybe the fire itself is the technique with him having to defeat someone with it to be able to take their technique. slash/cleave could also be an inherited technique which is why yuji actually has it.
with yujis usage of the slashes being visualized as scissors say he did get a cursed technique reversal using the same modern view of scissors as a base sewing comes to mind scissors to cut and a sewing needle to make stitches to reassemble something now i wonder what sukunas version of this hypothetical mending reversal would be visualized as since his version of shrine is rooted in violence
Small part of me thinks that the reversal of shrine could be the the soul disrupting punches. Shrine being able to adapt and adopt curse techniques being flipped (to me) would be to disrupt and doing away with like yuji has been doing to sukunas cursed energy in this fight
If Yuji's ct reversel forces individual aspects of it's technique, reversel of scissors could be glue. like sticking back the cut of legs, gluing extra arms with full functionality, or gluing Gojo's eyes on himself without losing their functionality.
Cauterize, or more likely for going all out getting rid of curses: sterilize. Working in biology to sterilize things we put them in an extreme temperature extreme pressure machine called an autoclave. I mean it kind of sounds like cleave but more importantly it's getting rid of diseases with fire.
might be your best vid
Yuji:Domain Expansion: Excision ( removes Sukunas soul. )
Although those lines and scissor in Yuji’s “cleave” looks more like a tailor. Speaking from experience.
I think Yuji's fire, going with the surgeon vs butcher theming, and how considerate and cautious Yuji is, would be more like a cauterizing flame that seals wounds rather than the immolation of Sukuna's.
what's your favorite type of soup?
If there was a reversal it might be closer to “stitching”. Bringing two things together and adding onto the more surgical theme
I think with Shrine, it's themed specifically as a kitchen and stuff for Sukuna, while it'll be more of a hospital/morgue for Yuji. This works because the translation for Shrine can mean a literal shrine, or a kitchen. I think Yuji's theme will lean more into the literal shrine aspect, a place to mourn and honor the dead. It makes sense with Yuji's character, and because he was in both a hospital and a morgue in the beginning of the series when his grandfather died. His fire arrow could even be like the cremation of remains.
I like the title 👍 that's the right way to see it, The butcher Kill and the surgeon save with precision, that's why Yuji technique is so precise, can't wait to see his aspect of dismantle.
Also love if yuji names the reversal and it’s like glue or something dumb cause yuji perceives the slashes as scissors so glue sticks would fit the reversal. Also if ur right about surgery imagine if his domain being like the op op no mi with room
Malevolent Shrine vs. Operation Room.
In like chapters where Yuji starts to learn with Gojo, we see him mention ideas like a spirit gun.
Just saying that Fire Arrow for Yuji might be a Fire Bullet.
Reversal is gonna be like suture/stitches and reconstruct
5:08 i would assume that the Doctor's equivalent to the fire arrow is carterizing to mend ones body and stop the bleeding from their body to open blood vessel. I could see yuji using especially after what happened to his leg .
I do have a question
was Yuji ALWAYS going to get Shrine?
I assume Jins technique or would be technique wouldnt be shrine since him and Sukuna are twins.. but also since they are twins they're biologically the same so maybe the CT part of their brain is also identical?
meaning that since Yuji is biologically Sukunas child as well he was always destined to have some form of Shrine
we dont know that much about how CT change between generations right? Like not every Zenin has 10 shadows so what chooses which techniques they get
why didnt Yuji get Kenjakus gravity technique or body swap technique or whatever other technique he had
and I assumed Yuji only got shrine because he was bathed in Sukunas CE but also since they're now biologically related this has given me some questions.. was Shrine always there just unawakened?
and what about other sorcerers, their abilities didnt seem to take long to awaken so why did Yujis take 16 years to? Was it repressed by Kenjaku? or simply because he didnt know about CE
It has only been 6 months I think since he got introduced to Jujutsu, so maybe he always had shrine and you just need a few months of training to activate your CT
Blood manipulation was given by consuming the curses so i dont think thats biological.. but actually that reminds me of my OG theory for Yujis CT
what if Yujis CT still isnt truly Shrine, but instead an absorption ability that allows him to copy any energy thats in his system
he ate part of sukuna so gained shrine
he ate the CW so he gained blood manip
or maybe Shrine allows you to eat and adapt abilities?
idk theres still a lot of questions around this
I think yuji’s interpretation of dismantle is going to be a sword not a knife. His cleave is scissors because of placing the hand on the thing you wish to cut but dismantle being a sword will be far stronger than sukunas kitchen knife. Hopefully Yuji upgrades his shrines with binding vows or something in the future as he’s witnessing sukuna do it all and he knows it’s possible but it’s different in obtaining because they aren’t the same in the mental aspect
If cleave/dismantle splits things, what if its reversal merges things?
It might be really interesting for the story if Yuji somehow merged himself with Megumi/Sukuna to create a shared body - kicking off a 3-way struggle of souls to take control of the body, and allowing Yuji to directly speak with and motivate Megumi.
Christian thank you so much for the support man!
Yeah I could totally see this, it feels like it makes sense mechanically and thematically. Also someone pointed out that cleave can also mean to put together, so that's really interesting as well! 👀
Wild with the slashes 😂 made me chuckle
Maybe cursed technique reversals only apply to techniques that are “simple” in nature. Limitless pulls, reversal is pushing. Same with kenjaku. Since shrine has multiple elements like cutting and fire, it might not have a reversal
I have been enjoying your content after discovering you a few months ago.
My question is if hitting consecutive black flashes has shown to rewire neural pathways in the brain (via Sukuna & Gojo) do we thinking hitting enough of them / hitting a "white flash" with RCT could create other physiological changes similar to Gojo's Six Eyes or other features?
TL; DR do you think hitting enough black flashes can give someone a fake Six-Eyes or other enhanced physical features?
John thank you so much for the support man! I talk about this in my latest video here: th-cam.com/video/YPH22EctZrM/w-d-xo.html
Theory: If the reversal of cleave is a healing type ability allowing for the user to put things back together and Yuji tries using this on Gojo, do you think it's possible it could bring Gojo back?
It’s also cool how yujis slashes can’t be fired from what we seen and how he actually has to make contact maybe that might allow a higher output to his shrine relative to his level
I just interpreted it as Yuji being hesitant with shrine. The technique killed hundreds of thousands in Shibuya, and he, for a while, felt responsible. He still has some residual hesitation. Yuta used the technique in the same way Sukuna did, and he doesn't exactly have the same mindset. Also, CRAZY THEORY. Uraume is somehow related to the reversal of Sukuna's cursed technique. If it turns out that Sukuna can somehow manipulate or give others cursed techniques, that would be pretty interesting. For instance, Uraume is using a somewhat reversal of Sukuna's fire arrow. The opposite of use (Sukuna USES his opponents and COOKS his meals, quite literally) is preservation. Could maybe explain why Sukuna and Uraume are so cordial with each other. Farfetched theory but idk.
It's definitely far fetched to assume sukuna can reverse or give people cursed techniques
But it's not far fetched to assume he also likes uraume because of the ability to use ice as a preservative since he's all about food as both a metaphor and a literal thing
@@BlankBlonk like i said, it's a far fetched theory with no real backing in the series. i've been right about SOME things before though, so I just wanna put this out there in case it comes true.
Great vid.
My hypothetical take on reverse curse technique for both characters while keeping in theme is that sukuna is blending (blender) while yuji is sewing (stitches). In a way that's actually represent both respected characters selfish and selfishness characteristics. Sukuna can find a way to "blend" techniques to make himself stronger while yuji can stitch people or himself lost limbs or wounds so they can keep fighting; Now the problem with this is that Yuji have blood manipulation where he demonstrated that similar ability in this week chapter or was that rct can't remember. But that's just my take, the story can go anywhere with their abilities, both mirror and also different from one another.
Sukana also likely shows where he is going to cleave its just that we cant see it. You can guess this because of how he talks to mahoraga during their fight, he gets exited as he can 'see' sukanas technique (the markings). Its also why he doesnt fall for the proceeding fakes sukana throws because he can see the technique
Omg surgeon being the modern equivalent to a butcher never crossed my mind.. does that mean (if fire arrow ISNT a stored technique) yuji would have a unique "thing" to open with a different type of arrow?? Like he could have a toolbox or an MRI machine 💀
oh and for the other point in the video, maybe only yuji will use reversal cleave/dismantle that could be stitching things together? Maybe it could be a way to apply negative CE to others like shoko does but it could even heal the soul who even knows at this point gege is crazy and we'll never see what's actually gonna happen ahead of time
Surgeons use heat to cauterize wounds, take that how you will
@@victorvirgili4447 it's now my head canon that yuji will fire a laser gun instead of the arrow
Butchers and barbers served as surgeons in ancient times, so this may actually be a point.
For reversal of cleave and dismantle i would say, since you brought up surgeon, then it would be stitching. Fits too because it could analogous too butcher’s twine like used when roasting chicken or a meat log (idk what it’s called can’t remember). I actually think Yuuji’s version of the fire arrow will be like a blow torch used for caramelizing sugar on creme brûlée (also very precise and controlled to fit Yuuji’s interpretation)
Feel like this is leading up to Yuji and Sukuna souls becoming one and actually.becoming the honored one.
Revser of Cleave & Dismantle will dissect Go/jo back to life 🗣️🗣️🔥🔥!!!
I could see yuji getting some soul cutting slash type thing to mirror the world cutting slash
I wonder how the dismantle will be represented or even if Yuji will have dismantle. I remember that in the manga panel where sukuna's cleave and dismantle were explained, two different kitchen knives were represented, one for each technique, so I guess for dismantle Yuji would have another kitchen utensil instead of scissors. Also it is funny that Yuji has a kitchen related technique because I remember that yuji has been mentioned to be a good cooker earlier in the manga.
If Yuji got his soul moved to Gojo ‘s body (or vice/ versa) and their techniques fuse to form the “Cosmic Microwave (a picture of the first observable light after the Big Bang) that would allow Infinite Void to be complete.
It will go from unleashing all the knowledge to making all the phenomenon collide.
If it’s an open domain, it would be an open-world Big Bang. That as we know will affect the sender less since when Gojo sends Purple, it does less damage on him.
Perhaps Sukuna's CT also makes it possible to alter the body/soul, with all this theme of cutting, slicing and cooking. Maybe he was the fundamental piece for Cgames, and not Mahito, Kenjaku was just lucky that Mahito showed up. This would explain why Mahito was so afraid of Sukuna when they met inside Yuji, and that was what he noticed as an Equal. And the whole parallel between Yuji and Mahito too.
Yuji
Open "glock 17"
Like spirit gun lol
I mean Yuji can already use his blood to stitch himself back together so the reversal of cleave would have to work on other things so I guess as a counter to something already cut, like a stappler or stitches if sticking with the scissor theme.
The comparison did make me think about how if Sukuna uses his flames to cook as a butcher, Itadori's flames might be more about cauterizing wounds, represented by healing flames or something similar.
I think one obvious thing is that sukuna respects uraume because her cursed technique is objectively stronger than his reverse curse technique for his flames. He’s found someone who’s stronger than him at something, and has allowed her to stay present at his side for that reason.
Maybe yuji's CT Reversal might have something related to mending something (or someone) together like indicating a part where 2 things yuji wants to put together
Remember guys, when twins born the world treats them as 1 person, meaning their talent will be split(from maki & mai storyline) this could definitely mean that when sukuna dies yuji will be stronger. I know their not twins but they both have the shrine technique.🧐🤔
I kind of think that Cleveland dismantle are the reversals enshrine maybe put stuff back together
My only doubt/inquiry is... Where will Megumi's soul go after getting out of his own body? Will Sukuna get out? Will both get separated in their respective original bodies?
Or will one of the two permanently disappear or Sukuna will be exorcised?
It looks like "shrine" (or cerimonial kitchen, which would be a more accurate translation) is Sukuna's interpretation of an underlying technique.
Yuji is developing his own interpretation of that technique and it doesn't look like his will be cooking related, so I'm expecting a different name, but more importantly, I'm expecting different abilities in all aspects.
What is weird though is that this is mostly only happening with this technique.
Yuji is learning blood manipulation in a very similar way as Choso. Why isn't there such a difference on that one?
And how about all the other techniques that have been repeated throughout time, like Limitless, Ten Shadows, and Projection Sorcery?
I think the answer (if there is one), is that we simply don't understand shrine yet. In the end I guess Yuji's and Sukuna's abilities won't be so different. Maybe they'll be as different as Choso's and Noritoshi's, but they'll be based on the same core principle. We just don't know what that principle is yet (aside from both having cuts and being related to tools [knives / scissors]).
Perhaps the underlying technique is something more along the lines of a ritual or preparation of something. How a chef prepares the food vs. how an artist prepares his materials (using scissors to cut paper for example).
At the end of the day we know very little about cursed energy and cursed techniques. We know that:
- Cursed techniques are not part of the person's soul (otherwise Mahito could transform them)
- Cursed techniques seem to be somehow linked to the persons body / can be etched into their body (how the swapping had people using different techniques and etching them into their bodies / how kenjaku gets access to someones technique)
- Despite this, the persons body may not be able to use the cursed technique if his brain is not tuned right
- Kenjaku probably found a way to etch the cursed techniques from previous bodies into his brain or even his soul (hence why he can use anti-gravity system)
- But what about cursed energy? Yuji had almost none before sukuna yet know he has a pretty substantial amount. Will that continue to grow? Is that now part of his body, or is it part of his soul? I know these 2 are heavily related, but I'd say more on the soul side, since sukuna has a lot of CE in Megumi's body
Why are people saying the fire arrow is part os sukuna's CT? Both times he used it were right after using the domain, and he and gojo couldn't use CT's right after domains
I think it's more likely something to do with the domain itself, maybe when he uses the shrine he can "open" things from it
I was wondering how his ct isn’t burnt out after malevolent shrine aswell.
Victor thank you so much for the support!
So this is a great question that I've actually gotten a lot recently, and tbh I just don't think we have enough information to know why it works this way yet. I think it most likely has to do with how Shrine operates as a CT, perhaps 'opening' it up operates differently than how we understand 'normal' CTs and burnout to work. It may be that it has a different 'Cooldown' if that makes sense. Or in the same way the black sparks opened up the pathway to the Domain, maybe they also opened up a new pathway to the Fire Arrow.
It could have something to do with the domain, but remember he did at least use it against Jogo without doing a domain. Hopefully we'll find out more in the next chapter!
The reversal could be a blunt kitchen utensil
Dismantle-meat pounder
Cleave-meat mallet
Gojo heads going nuts now
Surgeon
Benevolent Shrine
Combined with his blood manipulation CT, for blood loss control. A real surgeon indeed.
Maybe the reversal is paste or glue where he sticks or fuses things together
So if the scissors are his cleave ability, what would his dismantle look like? Maybe it’ll be something like a X-Acto knife to precisely cut a target or something along the lines of a surgical blade. Plus, I read a translation that calls the flame arrow a “Divine Flame” so Yuji might have the same ability or instead of a flame arrow he just wraps his fist in fire to do more damage
I don’t think the furnace is a part of Sukuna’s technique. I think it’s a separate ability for three reasons.
1. Him having to say “open furnace” before accessing it
2. Him realizing that Jogo could not know about it because he’s a cursed spirit.
3. It doesn’t seem to be included in his domain (he had to use it on it’s own in shibuya)
Can’t wait for Gege to reveal the secret behind this.
Sukuna:kitchen stove,open "pulls out a fire arrow"
Yuji:microwave, open "pulls out a fire gun"
This was trully our jujutsu kaisen
Yuji’s “air fryer” gonna destroy
1:07 1:32 this is type of information in lore that get me hyped. "It's Poetic" 😂
Based off context that the flames comes from the "kitchen" and the fire arrow is just the "method" of use, similar to piercing blood style of Max Elephants CT. Im curious to see yugi will use the flames. I would not be surprised to see an air fryer attack at this point lol
Putting two things back together? Like gojo’s body?! 😮
Cleave and dismantle...the reversal cohesion and adhesion or combine and fuse
I think ultimately, Cleave and Dismantle are gonna work the same. In the sense that they still ultimately do what they’re intended to do, cut down anything the User wants. I honestly believe that Sukuna can use cleave in a precise/localized manner. If i’m not mistaken he used a pretty localized cleave against mimiko in shibuya. It’s just that Sukuna largely doesn’t care enough to be precise in his slashes.
However Yuji would care about that. So i think one cool development to cleave that Yuji will develop is the ability to launch Cleaves and Dismantles that don’t hurt his allies. Basically a Cleave and Dismantle that is able to distinguish between Friend and Foe. Which i would imagine could be done by targeting a creature’s cursed energy.
