Yeah but going into more detail is that the state of your mind can significantly change the flow of ce in your body and 257 proves that by having yuji lock in so damn much that the concentration of ce in his hands are a guarantee that he's going to hit a black flash ( I might br exaggerating on the guarantee part but it definitely made a increase in the chances of hitting a black flash)
In the manga it says while closing up on yuji getting ready to use a black flash on Eso "the man chosen by the black sparks". So it clearly chooses yuji
@@testingdpatience9203Actually, the original line in japanese just says he is "the man loved/blessed by the sparks of black", not that is he chosen by them. Which is why they say "the sparks of black do not choose who the bless" when Mahito lands one
Yuji hit black flashes every single time he needed to. He never needed one and then couldnt hit it. He even faints black flashes against mahito for the win. And mahito thinks the first punch is going to be a black flash, but Yuji switches hands. Yujis always been able to do it "at will" in the sense he hits them when he needs to. His first one he hit like his second try, ever. And he was actively trying to hit them against hanami.
No, he infact DID fail in hitting one, against Choso. He wanted to hit one against him only to whiff it and hit him with a normal enhanced punch, which landed him with a fucked up shoulder.
@@brob657 Which wasn't because of YUJI failing, but CHOSO for throwing off YUJI'S concentration. You remember how Mahito took off armor on one side of his body, so that Yuji's punch would land a millisecond later than expected, thus ruining his concentration for Black Flash which needs to be perfectly landed in the millionth of a second? Choso did the exact same thing by forming armor under his clothing, leading Yuji to prematurely hit him a few inches earlier than he expected, thus ruining his ''flow state''. Its not due to YUJI being unable, but due to CHOSO actively working to undermine him.
Nanami saying that 4 consecutive black flashes is his *record* hints that he has dished them out before but just not as much consecutively. So Gojo only having hit 5 in his lifetime is absurdly low. You gotta remember. The world of jjk has existed long before the first chapter and these people have been going on missions for years to decades. That's more than enough of a chance to land a dozen or two
The thing with BF being used so rarely depend in many many factors. One of them was the durability of the opponents. Before the Manga started, the average power level of the cursed spirits were never that high, ranking at worst into multiple grade 1. The special class were extremely rare until the kenjaku gathered Hanami, jogo, Dagon and mahito togheter. The average blackflash, expecially by a top dog, meant a complete insta-kill like 90% of the times,so it was impossible to extend to record above some flew ones. Nanami himself managed to break the previous record with 4 consecutive only because, during the movie, he was fighting an almost endless wave of bug curses, which gave him the chance to break the record. That was the "lucky" chance nanami was talking about. And for gojo, he scored so flew black flashes mostly because, with limitless + six eyes, the range of opponents he could land one on was extremely limited considering even a single blue was enought to destroy the average foe.
In reality if one of the Gojo students wins, it means he actually won as when Gojo said "Nah I'd win." He's most likely referring to how his students will carry that legacy for him. Edit: sup.
Remember though, black flash is what puts the sorcerer in the flow state, I like the idea that being completely locked in causes it but unfortunately everyone would be able to use it if that’s the case
@@fadedcrayon4764 I’ve also played several sports but this isn’t a sport it’s jujutsu, while I see your point I don’t think that applies to black flashes, I believe the flow state in jujutsu is much different
In the newest chapter, it was mentioned that a Black Flash makes a "cursed energy circuit/relay" in the brain, which allows other parts of your brain to be involved in manipulating cursed energy. I think that's a big part in determining what a Black Flash is - it's when you put your *whole self* into achieving your goal. That's why the speech Todo gave Yuji was that to achieve Black Flash requires living with your entire body at once, rather than just moving energy around you. It's about oneness and wholeness, which makes sense considering the strong Buddhist themes in the series. I read an article about a guy who was brain-dead in 95% of his brain, but who walked and talked like a regular person, because his spinal cord had taken up all the activities normally reserved for his brain. And a friend of mine with Dissociative Identity Disorder (aka split personalities) mentioned that the reason the disorder shows up tends to be because of a lot of dissociation during the identity formation stage of childhood, leading to the brain being unable to form an identity normally and instead splintering. When I brought up the aforementioned spinal cord brain guy, she said that it often felt like a lot of her identities were different parts of her brain forming identities of their own. Basically, different parts of her nervous system took up the role of identity formation because the part that normally does it wasn't working, so she ended up with a bunch of different identities. And you know what that mirrors perfectly? Sukuna using different parts of his brain to take on the burden of cursed energy manipulation so he can cast a Domain Expansion despite being brain damaged. And he only did that after he achieved two Black Flashes - after he achieved oneness with his whole self. So basically, when you achieve oneness and wholeness with yourself while devoting yourself entirely to a specific cause, you can achieve a Black Flash. And since you're now "in the zone" and are acting with 100% of your brain directed towards a single goal, you can achieve a Black Flash easier because the previous Black Flash put you into that "oneness" mindset.
Sorry, reread that chapter. Gojo set up a unique REVERSE cursed energy relay by consciously splitting the workload between different regions of his brain. Sukuna wasn’t capable of doing this. Yuji isn’t doing this.
@@VyDovah You missed the point of the comment. Becoming one with himself and striking a black flash is what allows Gojo to set up the circuit in the first place. Striking a flash is what allows Sukuna to shift the load of his domain to other parts of his brain, and it’s pointed out that he would’ve regained RCT like Gojo did if not for Yuji’s Soul-Shaking Punches causing his soul to dissociate with Megumi’s body. Yuji himself quite literally awakens like Gojo did against Toji and gains access to a new technique, which are engraved into the brain.
I just wanna throw out there that the JJK 0 scene of Nanami hitting black flashes was in fact the moment that he set the consecutive black flash record of 4. He mentions later that it was during the night parade of 1000 demons that he landed those 4 black flashes.
And it all goes back to Megumi heart not really being in it understandable due to his circustamnce from growing up but being yujis live is literally on the line for plot and grandfathers last words yujis moral code is kinda set in shell

Yuji's efficiency in handling his CE, and his determination to go all in against his enemies, then you'll have a great formula to get the Sparks of Black in your favor.
I wonder if there are any hidden aspects of Black Flash, specifically if landing so many in a short span of time causes the Black Flash power-ups / 120% potential awakening to stack, even partially. I know the sample size isn't big enough for the people in the setting to make concrete conclusions, seeing that they only have Nanami on record landing a handful of them in immediate succession, and Gojo was never going to need more than a couple Black Flashes to annihilate anyone below Sukuna or Mahoraga's level, But I get the sneaking suspicion that if someone was landing dozens of Black Flashes in a single fight, they'd be gaining FAR more momentum than someone who landed just one.
It probably does, just with diminishing return. Since, cause you're technically still in the same state, it's probably just adding the base amount on top, without having reset the baseline yet. So doing 2 or 3 in a row would make it seem like a huge gain, after 4 or 5 it would become less and less for what your new total would be. And to add on that, though we have seen it a good amount, just getting a single black flash is actually really rare most of the time, let alone consecutive ones. The main reason it seems less so currently, is cause we are near constantly seeing some of the best in the verse getting pushed to their limit, over and over again. So they end up pulling them off with a good bit more frequency than what would be normal.

yuji actually hit 8 in a row lately + one almost bursting sukunas heart + one he hit with nobara also yujis total was above 5 already before that as he landed 4 against hanami and 2 against mahito so 6 at least so that'd be 8 +6 +1 +1 so 16 total
Basically, black flashes are like hail marys. You gotta be on the backfoot probably about to die and just throw out your best anyway. My best real life example would be running or sports. Imagine running a marathon and you get 3/4 of the way through and your tired, out of breath and your legs are ready to give out, but despite that, you just push through and dash the rest of the way because you want to win and all of a sudden what just seemed like a herculean effort not seems simple because you pushed past your exhaustion and can atleast ignore it for the time being.
Its always been apparent that desperation and determination cause black flashes. It is never explicitly said but every time it happens the user is on the back ropes and needs a boost. The reason Yuji lands 8 in a row recently is because the gap between him and Sukuna is just so big
so more likely then not if you put full trust into black flash you will be able to land it, which is the reason why after yuji patted gojo on the back that helped him change his mindset he was able to hit black flash later on as we saw gojo looked tired and worried about the fight which he still wasnt immediately able to hit black flash comming freshly out of the gamblers mindset but there is one problem. hakari who always have cursed energy a very high output, gamblers mindest, only punches and kicks, has never hit a black flash, hakari should be the most proficient if thats the case. except for when he is in jackpot, thats when his cursed energy is too strong to be controlled for the "1 2 3" explanation gojo made
I think that yuji could be using a binding vow of some sort to execute so many black flashes when he was fighting sukuna in chapter 256 and 257. This binding vow could give yuji the "flow" needed to execute black flashes but with a drawback. I don't know what could this drawback be.
I think that while black flash puts a sorcerer into the "Zone" state, that it takes kinda reaching that point on one's own before the flash to really use one at first. If not then we'd see characters landing them totally randomly as their first hit in a fight and then get that massive advantage. Almost to the point that while the series says it is a result of the black flash, that it feels more like the flash and the zone state are tandem abd happen simultaneously. Also added to this is the intuition some charactees get that someone is about to land one.
Yuji hit 3 Black Flashes vs Maitho in Shibuya. (1st was as soon as Todo "revived" him. 2nd was when Todo used Maithos hand to swap with Yuji. And the 3rd was used to finish the fight)
I also like how people are punished for not being selfish in the seires Such as the result of yuji becoming selfless against choso taking on 'a supportive role' and Megumi summmoning maharaga both of these selfless acts resulted in the biggest result of deaths in the Shibuya incident This indicates as a type punishment for not being selfish and striving in your own potential
Itadori really just said “Put this Black Flash on my life” a lot, i would say “Put this Black Flash on my friends and family” but if he did there’d still be a majority of the cast alive, but I guess the family part kind of counts because Sukuna sure ain’t getting put down.
3:09 Yuji landed 3 Black flashes vs Mahito 1st when he "came back from the dead" after todo's speech 2nd after Todo clapped with mahito's hand. 3rd after he hit ISDK Mahito after Todo's bluff.
I like to compare the black flashes to the thread from Kimetsu no Yaiba, whenever someone is about to hit a black flash, is like they are able to see through their opponent, like if they knew they already won the fight. When Todo landed his black flash, he was essentially able to predict the outcome of the swap with the rock and his kick, like he knew that kick will land no matter what. Every Black flash Yuji landed on to Mahito, again he already knew he had won. When Gojo landed his first black flash against Sukuna, he tricked Sukuna by delaying red’s detonation, just like when a demon hunter smells the thread to cut the demon’s head, before landing the blow, they already know that blow is 100% hitting no matter what
“Black flash is a game changer, even for special grades” Meanwhile Mahito got hit by like, 10 black flashes in one fight and was still able to withstand a 1v2 against Yuji and Todo
mahito is a special case since he can control the shape of his soul thus making him effectively immune to physical damage, yuji's attacks were attacking the soul but he was also hitting the body so he had to get through the body before damaging the soul with each hit lowering the damage substantially
It's like that but apparently multiple thousands of times more precise on the timing and the particular tick you gotta hit the input on changes on a case by case basis. Only way to do it is just go for it, be locked in and hope you're as goated as you feel.
The funny thing about flow state is like you’re in between total focus and auto pilot. I am a firm believer that no one experiences flow state more than people who play video games.
He was probably talking about the 10 shadows since Gojo did say ct is 80% of the sorcerer’s power. Which at that time is true considering how fast Mahoraga adapted to cleave and dismantle the only ct Gojo thought Yuji will have.
@@lynnusuk2092 then gojo was heavily understimating the shrine ct did he think sukuna was some bum like bro it might not be 10s or your 6 eyes+limitless but come on
You actually forgot something, Yuji hit 3 blackflashed against mahito. Its when todo loses his arm and switches places with yuji. Which would've made yuji and gojo tied in total blackflashes prior to yujis blackflashes against sukuna.
I think black flash works similar to heavenly restriction, where the user gives up what is precious to them (winning) in order to gain (bet) on their attacks
Off topic , but do we think we are mis-reading Open furnace as a technique instead of simply Sukunas Supreme art attack? We don’t consider hollow purple or uzumaki a separate technique do we ? What do we think Yujis supreme art will be? I hope it involves blood manipulation
@@Darmawheel open furnace could just be such a condensed amount of slashes that the kinetic energy becomes enough to ignite the oxygen and create flames so if this was the case and yuuji remains locked in he might be able to use it

Black flash is basically if you have enough determination to put 100% on critical chance
Gege saying megumi doesn’t fit the black flash is the funniest thing I’ve heard
He isn’t like that
This interpretation just retroactively makes Nanami so much cooler.
I believe it’s about the strength of your soul and your perception of it
Megumi is probably never coming back tho
Man's a bum
yuji actually hit 8 in a row lately + one almost bursting sukunas heart + one he hit with nobara
also yujis total was above 5 already before that
as he landed 4 against hanami and 2 against mahito
so 6 at least
so that'd be 8 +6 +1 +1 so 16 total
It’s a phenomenon so hype it warps reality around it
"you need the skill to capitalize on your luck"
Yuji is at 17 black flashes now I believe
Imagine your cursed technique is always to hit a black flash
Yuji hit 9 blackflashes
Yuji literally the next chapter: BLACK FLASH BLACK FLASH BLACK FLASH BLACK FLASH BLACK FLASH BLACK FLASH
BLACK FLASH
continue using jujutsu craft as your b-roll, shits fye.
I love the jujutsucraft gameplay, its a small detail but it's realy cool
THANK YOU, I took a gamble but I’m happy it paid off
I was wondering about what mod that was, thx!
Just a side note: Yuta probably didn't even know what a Black Flash was when he landed his against Geto
In short
In the world of the black flash, it's either you die or he dies, no in-between.
A perfect blend of hatred, spite and a drive to survive
The effects of a black flash are like hitting a bunch of drugs in fallout. Yuji is probably not breaking a sweat rn
kobe woulda been such a strong sorcerer
11:29 me when I’m trying to pad out the essay to reach the page requirement
so more likely then not if you put full trust into black flash you will be able to land it, which is the reason why after yuji patted gojo on the back that helped him change his mindset he was able to hit black flash later on as we saw gojo looked tired and worried about the fight which he still wasnt immediately able to hit black flash comming freshly out of the gamblers mindset but there is one problem. hakari who always have cursed energy a very high output, gamblers mindest, only punches and kicks, has never hit a black flash, hakari should be the most proficient if thats the case. except for when he is in jackpot, thats when his cursed energy is too strong to be controlled for the "1 2 3" explanation gojo made
I think that yuji could be using a binding vow of some sort to execute so many black flashes when he was fighting sukuna in chapter 256 and 257. This binding vow could give yuji the "flow" needed to execute black flashes but with a drawback. I don't know what could this drawback be.
Imagine either 1K or 1M black flashes consecutively
And the 3rd was used to finish the fight)
conclusión: black flash is like a crit hit in a video game
I also like how people are punished for not being selfish in the seires
Such as the result of yuji becoming selfless against choso taking on 'a supportive role' and Megumi summmoning maharaga both of these selfless acts resulted in the biggest result of deaths in the Shibuya incident
This indicates as a type punishment for not being selfish and striving in your own potential
Itadori really just said “Put this Black Flash on my life” a lot, i would say “Put this Black Flash on my friends and family” but if he did there’d still be a majority of the cast alive, but I guess the family part kind of counts because Sukuna sure ain’t getting put down.
W Minecraft mod gameplay and sprites
3:09 Yuji landed 3 Black flashes vs Mahito
1st when he "came back from the dead" after todo's speech
2nd after Todo clapped with mahito's hand.
3rd after he hit ISDK Mahito after Todo's bluff.
Remember Megumi never hit a black flash
I like to compare the black flashes to the thread from Kimetsu no Yaiba, whenever someone is about to hit a black flash, is like they are able to see through their opponent, like if they knew they already won the fight. When Todo landed his black flash, he was essentially able to predict the outcome of the swap with the rock and his kick, like he knew that kick will land no matter what. Every Black flash Yuji landed on to Mahito, again he already knew he had won. When Gojo landed his first black flash against Sukuna, he tricked Sukuna by delaying red’s detonation, just like when a demon hunter smells the thread to cut the demon’s head, before landing the blow, they already know that blow is 100% hitting no matter what
“Black flash is a game changer, even for special grades”
Meanwhile Mahito got hit by like, 10 black flashes in one fight and was still able to withstand a 1v2 against Yuji and Todo
mahito is a special case since he can control the shape of his soul thus making him effectively immune to physical damage, yuji's attacks were attacking the soul but he was also hitting the body so he had to get through the body before damaging the soul with each hit lowering the damage substantially
So basically:
Desire
Fever
And a lot of not summoning mahoraga
hitting a black flash is like hitting a frame perfect trick in a videogame or smthg idk
Athlete lmao?
No way you actually said that 💀
Nahh this video bouta blow up
Gojo lied to megumi it's no way his potential is higher than yujis but his skill most definitely was probably not in hand to hand combat but overall
He was probably talking about the 10 shadows since Gojo did say ct is 80% of the sorcerer’s power. Which at that time is true considering how fast Mahoraga adapted to cleave and dismantle the only ct Gojo thought Yuji will have.
@@lynnusuk2092 then gojo was heavily understimating the shrine ct did he think sukuna was some bum like bro it might not be 10s or your 6 eyes+limitless but come on
Hype Focus Locked in 🗿
It's like being "in the zone" in a shooter
Thank you now imma black flash my classmates this year...
Yuji: I wanna -be a super saiyan- land a black flash, I WANNA, I WANNA,I WANNA
watching this after THAT
You actually forgot something, Yuji hit 3 blackflashed against mahito. Its when todo loses his arm and switches places with yuji. Which would've made yuji and gojo tied in total blackflashes prior to yujis blackflashes against sukuna.
Black flash really is just the power of locking in.
Like in the zone. In combat or sport.
TLDR black flashes are your emotions
Yuji in the newest chapter: 8 consecutive black flashes
I think black flash works similar to heavenly restriction, where the user gives up what is precious to them (winning) in order to gain (bet) on their attacks
Like manifesting one’s EGO…
Fire editing fam
Take a shot every time he says Black Flash
Off topic , but do we think we are mis-reading Open furnace as a technique instead of simply Sukunas Supreme art attack? We don’t consider hollow purple or uzumaki a separate technique do we ? What do we think Yujis supreme art will be? I hope it involves blood manipulation
If Yuji ever gets a maximum technique related to Blood Manipulation It could very easily be Maximum: Wing King. (Both Choso and Eso used It).
@@Darmawheel open furnace could just be such a condensed amount of slashes that the kinetic energy becomes enough to ignite the oxygen and create flames so if this was the case and yuuji remains locked in he might be able to use it
So the way to land a black dash is….feeling your self
i thought what Nanami meant was he was only able to hit 4 black sparks back to back not that it was the most he has ever landed in total
