In my line of work, I used to see kids (about 19 to 20 years old...still kids to me : ) that had become victims of financial crimes on line. The saddest part was sometimes parents would refuse to help saying he/she "should have known better." Why would they know better? They only know better if someone teaches them.
Even though my daughter heard all my stories about predators online, she still had problems. What helped? Checking my kids phone. People act like I'm crazy when I tell them that I check my kids phone. Kids simply don't have the tools to fight back and protect themselves, so we must protect them and fight for them. Great show! Much needed education for families! ❤️
I saw this on television for the first time today. I'm glad to see someone use their platform to bring more attention to this issue. If you're buying your child(ren) phones, tablets or giving them access to computers, you have all rights to observe what's going on. Let them get mad, they'll get over it. Try to create & keep the line of communication between you & them open.. The same energy you use to catch your man or woman cheating or suspected of cheating. Use & invest the same energy in the minor children. Sometimes checking the adult children is necessary, if need be. Be careful out here yall...

Parents need to get more involved with their kids whether they like it or not.. Who's in charge here! Why didn't they give the talk that a 12 year old is giving out her phone number and probably their school and address!!! Wake up parents before it's too late!

That’s a good term for even adults to learn because a man approached me on Instagram claiming his friend had sent him my nudes and he tried to use that against me to get more for himself. Sextortion. That little girl is so lucky to have family that take the time to look out for their daughter. It’s scary when it’s about control and there’s no respect but i felt their love in that moment for her.
Scary. Parents have to be very careful with allowing kids having social media.
I’m sorry but a lot of these parents are not protecting their children!!! And, why do these children have social media at 12???????

Man if I were one of the girls brother, cousin, half-brother or even Godbrother, and I found out this MONSTER did this, so help me GOD... let me stop right there before I say something explicitly dark! "She should have known better!" "How could she be so careless?" Miss me with that BS because as a PARENT, you're supposed to help them. They're kids! Mistakes happen 24/7 and they learn from them! When I was in jr high. Something like this happened to me but they tried to splice together a video of me and Some someone else with a similar looking shirt but her head not in the shot. They said they would put it online and people would see it. But I said go ahead cause it's obviously 2 different videos. I blocked and forgot until now....

They should teach that second girl about boundaries and that it's perfectly okay to block adults who are being inappropriate and criminal because that's a boundary you're telling them they don't have to cross.

you have to search what legit modelling agencies looking for.... it isnt most tiimes the beauty your mum sees..eg .fashion models usually tall so if you re not , forget it..bikini models have to have stunning figures as well as facial beauty , are you that top 5%? Are you that girl at school that most agree is the belle or are you just good looking or scrub up ok with makeup. Its a reality check and so defer to adults in your life for opinion and dont fall into the trap of fantasy and dreams without the goods. As an older person i see that all youth has beauty so enjoy it while it lasts

I m posting on tictoc videos of my cats and people follow me, so while i wait my video uploading tictoc shows me posts of my “friends”. Some of them are underage girls doing things on camera. I always wonder what are their parents thinking. Why their parents allow them to post videos of themselves dancing in swim suits when they look like 12. Are they even supposed to have tictoc at that age? I personally have grown up sons by now, thanks god when they were small there were no smart phones and tic toc, but parents, wake the hell up. Make tic toc yourself and check what is going on

Does anyone else think they posted pics that were also way too sexual? I mean they were 15 and posting all these provocative pictures... Not saying that they asked for it (Here come the feminists and the SJW XD)but as someone whos been professionally modeling all my life I dont think you have to show that much to get an agency to notice you. If you are in your early teens you should just go to open casting calls. My first open call i didnt have any photos to show - i showed up and they liked my look and took a photo with their photographer so they would remember what i looked like lol

There is another show called Web of Lies & some one was targeting boys! The boys actually thought it was "normal practice" to have to show nude photos in various states of arousal!!! I had a hard time believing that they felt it was "normal." Of course they were being scammed & those photos were shown all around.
14 and posted these pictures? Well,_evil men , can cause problems. I remember a 15? 16 year old who was coersed into flying to another country,_putting her parents in a serious panic. Thankfully, she was found before this scumbag could get his hands on her. For crying out loud. Sex and human trafficking? Get real , and wake up. Too many have lost their lives to this horrific parents nightmare. Don't post any photos online. Because you could find yourself in a situation that could lead to you your death or beaten. Too many victims
I feel this could have re-traumatised these young women. I don’t think it was the best approach.
The best approach is different for everyone. If they did it is because they are ready to talk about it. It might actually help them realized that what happened to them is an example to help other children. That what happened to them would not be forgotten after the offenders went to jail. These young women are very brave. Thanks to them for being so brave and inform parents/kids.
sometimes exploiting the trauma can be very healing and help give it narrative sensibility, which is essential for healing. I felt really bad for all of the victims :(

It may be that way because society in general is not exposed to this, but it's necessary. This is raw, it is truly the reality.

Robbie Spirit I don’t agree. There are many people out there who live in a bubble. Sometimes, the best way to get through to them is via shock and awe, and “cringy moments.” This shit is cringe-worthy. This is not a topic that should be danced around or glossed over. I think she did a great job of not sensationalizing it. I really appreciate how she sticks on the topic and doesn’t make politicalized statements about the gender of the predators. Who gives a shit if it’s “instilling fear,” it should! Especially if it helps to keep a child from being victimized by a predator.
