- Finally we're ready to start using our new Scimitar 1010 Power Catamaran! The majority of our upgrades are complete and it's getting very close to us leaving for our maiden trip up the coast in May!
We can't wait! We've had enough of talking about it, so here's a final run through and from now on we'll get out on her!

If you get sick of the marine head and all its headaches look at a composting toilet like a Natures Head, so simple, so cheap, almost no maintenance.

Just remembered something from my trucking days.. The blue light problem .. try painting it with Mistake correction fluid .. not sure what it is called .. "tipix" or white out.. I used it on a very bright blue light on my fridge in my truck.. worked a treat .Shows my age.. very old technology lol
Thanks mate, I did try to colour them bit they also glow around the edge... So I've bought new no light white ones now! Big life issues hey! haha

I’ve got rubber covers for my usb charge outlets to stop that light when not in use. I’ve also found that led lights can be dimmed down with nail polish dabbed on them.
I wish the light was still on so we can get a good look at the fans you set up.
Yeah sorry.. it was so bright on the day and didn’t realise how dark it got on the video once I turned it off

Mmmm I’d say between 300 & 450nm depending on speed & ocean. Still keen to do some testing on figures with one engine which should improve that for longer runs…
How did you afford all that if you dont mind me asking? Wouldnt be cheap but an absolutely awesome lifestyle!
Hey, well in short we both still work, so the boat stuff is only a hobby. We'd love nothing more than to go off and do it full time, but we just can't unfortunately.
This plan was always going to be the retirement plan in 15-20yrs but when we did our trip in the Kevlacat we decided, why wait. So we sold our house we had been renovating for the past 6rs and downsized to a unit and this boat.
Maybe not the smartest move financially, but you only live once hey...
