Good video Greg. Your attention to detail and commitment to time consuming tasks prepping the boat is admirable. Will be good to see the final product.
Hey Greg, I would love a run-through on all the costs for this one. For people out there trying to mod their boats knowing how much different parts might cost is really useful.
mate it's a mine field when working out the costs. Every boat, modification and part can vary drastically. There's a reason that even boats of this size have such big price tags on them but. The cost of parts and work have gone up massively over the past 5 years and my budget went well over what I thought it would. I will try out line some costs in the final part 2 video to give people an idea.
Will be Wicked, no pun intended when it's finished. I agree with what you said about John Crawford Marine, I've had dealings with them and so has a mate of mine, they are great to deal with. Can't wait to see the finished product.
Hi, Totally agree with you experience with John Crawford Marine. I sold my boat through them and Matt made it a painless experience. I would also highly recommend them.
How bloody exciting! Can’t wait to see that thing on the water.. great platform to start with and looks like a killer design with all the mods. Congrats 👍🏽
thanks heaps mate. I put so much thought into this boat and everything had to be precise because of it's size. One decision would affect another so lots of forward planning. Cheers mate
Great content Greg, new subbie and addicted to your videos b2b. Can’t wait to see the final stages of the boat mate, thanks for keeping us entertained 🤙
Nice one Greg. Looks like you are building similar to what I wanted with my Formosa 525…was aiming for the ultimate small/big tinny. I know you are a zuk guy and the guys at Bayside certainly work hard. That DT115B will be like my DF140B, unbelievable economy pushing a fairly heavy plate hull. Love your vids keep it up.
Thanks heaps Craig. Yeah I reckon we've got it to as close as an all-round boat you can get particularly when I show people the features in the 2nd vid. The 115B will be perfect for it and I have no doubt the economy will be exceptional as always. Cheers
Nice work Gregie......... How good was it having all those business's getting you sorted in short time. Crazy world now with wait times. Looking forward to the next video (y)
Mate although it's been a lot of work, having all these great companies involved has made the process 10 times easier. I'm very thankful and I can't wait to have a fish from it.
Hey Greg, great detailed video. to do something very similar to my boat up here in the Territory. Do you have a product link for the marine lining you used internally? Also did you use any special glue? I've never seen it sprayed like that but looks to simplify the job. Cheers mate
Thanks mate. I actually found a big roll of that marine cabin liner on FB marketplace but if you go to any marine upholstery place they would be able to order it in for you. The glue to use is contact adhesive/fix. Spraying it is the only way to do it or you would use loads of glue.
the other thing , you should put the battery in a plastics battery box , as it safer and not have to worry about corrosion, or battery drainage. aluminum and battery don't like each other esply around sault waters
yeah mate I watched it for ages too and just waited until it came down to the price I thought would be worth while for me to do it up. Probably would have cost the same and been a lot easier to do build one but the waiting times were killing me.
G'day. I'm a retired marine tech, started 54 years ago. I still can't understand why blokes always put those horrible binnacle control boxes in. They take up a shit load of room. There designed for the big boats. If you fir a small notch in the top r/h rear corner and fit a concealed side mount box into that it gives you extra room on the dash and you have that mongrel lever off the top of the dash. So the front is a sleeping hole. Why would you go Suzuki?
Awesome 😎Top notch job mate, can’t wait to see it finished ✅ Cheers 🍻
Flipping that Hinge... brilliant.
Going to do that on my ute lid. Cheers...❤it
Thanks mate I was pretty happy with how that turned out. Cheers
Offshore Marine Master - Jason and the lads do a great job. Decent boats make a good base for suitable tweaks... Cheers - good fishing...
Absolutely they do mate. She's a solid little rig.
All in a days work. Great vid mate.
thanks mate
Good video Greg. Your attention to detail and commitment to time consuming tasks prepping the boat is admirable. Will be good to see the final product.
Thanks heaps mate it sure took up way too much time but I was stoked with the end result. Cheers

Love the new whip mate looking the goods, great idea with the upside down piano hinge.. a lot of thought into it, do love a good boat build
thanks heaps mate. I put so much thought into this boat and everything had to be precise because of it's size. One decision would affect another so lots of forward planning. Cheers mate
Congratulations mate she sure is a work of art and well and truly within specs.
Good to see you upspec'd that casting deck to take Stevo weight too👌
haha thanks mate it would be good to see you standing on that casting deck one day to test it out :-)
Can't wait to see end results. Great stuff mate.
Cheers mate I can't to finish and use it.
The detail and hard work in your boat is wow level Greg ❤

That thing is going to be a weapon 🤘🤘💪💪
Thanks mate it turn out a little weapon
Was actually looking at buying that myself and bringing up to nq. Was bummed i missed it. Enjoy!
Oh true.. I seen it drop in price so jumped on it. It was a lot bigger boat in person and a great base for what i wanted to do to it. Cheers mate
Thanks Greg for an amazing informal video can’t wait for part 2
Thanks mate I'm glad you enjoyed it. part 2 coming up in a couple weeks fingers crossed.

good video buddy
thanks mate I'm glad you enjoyed it
If you ever need to remove carpet or sticker glue in future, use MEK. Works a treat.
Thanks for the tip mate
Greg, Front deck, what did you use to avoid slipping when wet?
Hey mate as you probably saw in the final vid I put carpet down. Cheers
Love the work done on the boat That Nyalic really looks nice too. Time to enjoy some fishing
Thanks mate. Big job but happy with the end result.
Looking good
thanks mate
Have you weighed the boat ? Have you added much extra weight? Do you need to update builder plate now
I have not weighed it mate and I reckon we've added about an extra 100kg to it. Yes I had a new builders plate done for the bigger outboard.
Are you putting any shade as it can get dam hot in summer.
Hey mate, It has big bimini top I can put on for those super hot days but majority of the time I won't have it on so I have maximum room.
Hey Greg, great detailed video. to do something very similar to my boat up here in the Territory. Do you have a product link for the marine lining you used internally? Also did you use any special glue? I've never seen it sprayed like that but looks to simplify the job.

I saw the boat over at peel looks unreal mate, what grits did you use to sand it mate?
Hey mate cheers. 120 and 240 mate
Top job
thanks mate
Is the 115 and 140 zuks still the same weight etc?
Same block I think
correct mate same motor. The 140 is actually 2kg lighter but the boat was only rated for the 115.
Hey Greg was just wondering what your old boat build was?
Hi mate it was an older model formosa mate.
Hi mate where did u get the nyalic from cheers
the other thing , you should put the battery in a plastics battery box , as it safer and not have to worry about corrosion, or battery drainage. aluminum and battery don't like each other esply around sault waters
I looked at that boat to it was a very tidy rig, i just passed on the 70 HP motor, and no electric
yeah mate I watched it for ages too and just waited until it came down to the price I thought would be worth while for me to do it up. Probably would have cost the same and been a lot easier to do build one but the waiting times were killing me.
Plate tinnies are being done to death how about some new multihull boats being built in Australia
why not put the hinge for the lid under it so it dose not show at all , that way you can install a better kind or stronger hinge
Definitely should have just built your own boat
hahaha this is probably true but I couldn't wait another year or so for it to happen. Happy with the end result but.
Check the weight you will find 140 Zuk is lighter than 115
yes mate its 2kg lighter. The boat is only rated to 115 hence why I didn't go the 140.
👍👍
cheers mate
