Oh man I wish I could underestimate it lol my English teacher told me that I only can learn it by practicing 😅 I already accepted that my English will never be as advanced and started enjoying the process of studying - somehow it helps with getting an inner peace 😅

You are an amazing teacher. The use of prepositions is really the most difficult issue for me. The success of using them correctly is based on reading and lessening a lot. I'm not clear on the difference between the first and second "influence" collocations. They both talk about having influence. So what's the difference between having influence *over* and having influence *on* ? when would I use the first and when would I use the latter? do I use the latter only with adjectives such as good, bad, positive etc.?
They are similar, and if you were to use them interchangeably I don't believe anyone would think twice about it. But in my view, 'influence over' implies a bit more control. Here are some useful example sentences from Cambridge. dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/influence But keep in mind, the phrase that is more commonly used is 'influence on.' books.google.com/ngrams/graph?content=influence+on%2C+influence+over&year_start=1800&year_end=2019&corpus=en-2019&smoothing=3 👍
