      Please please please start making some content around Volvos, anything, from simple servicing with pointers to engine rebuilds or builds, no pressure on what content to put out, just the odd bit here and there whether it’s on a newer p platform or 2/7/900 series. I’m watching this space.

    • @The_Stronzo
      @The_Stronzo 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      To be fair that era of Volvos is very easy to diagnose and work on ONCE you know what you’re doing, I got into it blind and it cost me far too much money and time to find out all the car needed was an inlet manifold gasket. They’re some very special bits of engineering, once you know what they need and how to work them, fixing them is very very easy, it’s all built extremely well and there’s usually lots of room to work in the engine bays, the one remarkable thing is that I’ve never ever ever known of a car that old as mine where the bolts and nuts come off with such ease, it’s almost as if they were built a week ago. Special bits of kit.

    • @-R4-
      @-R4- 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thats so true. Watched a lot of vids about the thermostate housing, and how often the bolts are fucked up. I just thought let's see and took the 30 year old bolds out with such ease. Was kinda blown away. @@The_Stronzo

    • @morganstuartmcrae
      @morganstuartmcrae 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@-R4- Those torx machine screws Volvo used for the thermostat housing are TYPICALLY messed up. They're hard to get to without the right (and it's cheap) tool, which means the teeth in the soft head are usually rounded off, and usually the long threads are galled in place. If they come out easily, it's amazing.

    Amazing job it looks incredible. I had a 1995 T5 wagon here in the UK must be nearly a decade ago now hearing that engine on boost brings back memories I loved that car, mine was red but that white looks so good. Recognise that engine tone immediately. 5 cylinder turbocharged goodness!

    Love it you are right in my back yard. I believe I saw the Blue Audi RS4 on Ball Pond road a few weeks ago.

    Nothing short of being an Angel to so many people you touch👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 If they ever bring that T.V. series back: Touched by an Angel; you’d fit nicely in that role🫡

    That inline five cylinder has a very unique sound... I'm sure some interesting second-order harmonics.

    Another great job! I have to admit I was a little distracted by that beautiful orange P1800 in the background, but nice to see you bring the 850R back to life!

    Forgot to put the head light wipers and washers on, left 4 little holes up there. My gramps bought one of those brand new from Jim Fisher Volvo back when my dad was like 11 years old in da mid 90s

    Old Volvos are just something different! I've got a '03 S60R manual in titanium grey (you can see the color on the S60 in the background a few times) and it's just absolutely mental.
    The car is turning 20 next year and it's still more comfy than modern cars, quicker than most modern cars too and just runs. I've blown a few cupras out of the water with it haha.
    I hope I can keep it for a long time!
