The Nikko hellgrammite is like the magic bait! It's almost unfair to the fish to use it! lol I can always use an extra pack. Good to see you upload something again, Aaron. I really miss seeing new stuff from you.
The nikko hellgrammite is also a confidence bait of mine. The small mouth in lake mead where I fish love them especially the color fushion. Thank you for the video Aaron I’m definitely very intrigued by BFS fishing and your channel has played a huge role in that for me. I’ve made my mind up to get one of your rods, now I’m just contemplating on what reel I should get to put on it. Tight lines to ya have a great rest of your week.
At least you weren’t skunked. It’s been a tough year for fishing. I’ve had a lot of skunked days. But It still beats being indoors. Thanks for the video!
Oh man, that dead deer would have freaked me out. Nothing wrong with switching to what works man. Looks like the creek is down and that might be messing with the big ones and pushing them to deeper pools somewhere. Kinda cool there's muskie in there too. Good to see you out and about Aaron!
It kind of did. There's also some sort of encampment i didn't show - but I'm always worried about someone coming out and shooting at me around that area. Lol. It's kind of the foothills of Appalachia - shoot first, ask questions of they don't kill you. :P
@@AaronHuntFishing On the live, when you said you were creeped out, I chimed in and said "Queue the deliverance banjos". It kinda rings true for that area, and with an encampment nearby... 🪕vs.🪕
Hey man - you won a pack of Nikko Helgrammites! I have your address if you can just confirm you haven't moved in he last 2 years. :P Appreciate the support.
yeah, amazing right? Lol. It patched up well. Even with such a big impact gash. Just one of the facts of an inflatable, especially when you don't pay attention..
I enjoy my favorites, and this spot is in the middle for me just because of a few good fish, but I really enjoy exploring new water, for sure. but, I do think the next 2 fishing trip videos will be from old favorites (at least that's the plan).
well at least u did not get skunked . is that not a little earie when u find a dead deer in the water? the one thing i hate about fall fishing is dealing with all the leaves in the water. thanks for taking us along and thanks for sharing at least niko helgies saved the day
Good luck hope you are able to catch alot of bass great video how do you like the paddleboard I like nikko hellgrammites I need to try out the other baits
Hey Aron I’ve had a lot of success. Catching 3-5.5lb smallies on UL BFS - Light+ power BFS. UL is better imo lol but make sure to try some scent even on your hard baits. They LOVE stinky baits. My PB smallies 5.3lbs came on smelly jelly on a flash back mini by zman
hey brentbloomfishing - you won the drawing for a pack of Nikko helgrammites. Shot me an email at info @aaronhuntfishing.net wih your mailing address to claim.
It really has been a rough year for fishing, I've slammed smallies in the creeks but not great in lakes. It seems like turn over in delayed.Do you find casting and fighting from the SUP at times unstable.
I don't fish lakes often, so not sure on the timing of the turnover. As far as stability, the SUP is more stable than my Outback - so no concerns there. My balance still sucks, so i don't stand up very often. :)
I want to try a sup in my central/ eastern Ky creeks and streams. I wade them a lot. What’s a good sup to start with that’s economical and still comfortable to fish?
I've used a couple of the Isle SUPs and enjoyed them both. I've seen a few NRS SUPs for sale used, and almost pulled the trigger on one of them. I think Glide also makes a decent SUP for fishing. I'm sure there are others - but it's. a pretty small niche. :)
Hey there man. I know this is not super relevant to the video, but I wanted to know your opinion on the Aldebaren vs the best Daiwa BFS. Is there any Daiwa that can match it?
For me, the Gekkabijin exceeds it in light-lure distance and consistency. I haven't tried the SS Air or the Steez Air. I think it is likely the SS Air at least matches the Alde for heavier BFS lures, and probably exceeds it for pitching / skipping. But all around, the Alde is still probably the best reel. the Diawa's do some niche things better. Even the Silver creek is better at consistent, shorter-distance precision casting. And I have used the Gekka more this year than the Alde. But every time I throw the Alde, I'm reminded how sweet it is. If I put the Alde on my favorite Hunt 4X rod, I'd probably use it more. :)

Trying to get back into a routine. Thanks Dan, and good luck.

Thanks man. Some guys swear by a tube - for me it's a Helgrammite if i absolutely NEED a bite...

Agreed. I've been fortunate to not get skunked much this year - but a lot of days of just a few dinks...
Watching this just makes me think even more about how I want an inflatable! I have some places it would be perfect for!
yeah, It's definitely been a nice addition. Hoping to add Isle's Flywater Inflatable Skiff next year.
Nice Video! That pump really worked well! Thanks for sharing!
Yes indeed - awesome pump.

Just found this channel great content keep on going you got the potential to become a huge channel
Thanks man. been doing a lot of planning through the fall - looking to make 2025 the best year yet! Stay tuned!
Good to see you patched the inflatable. You also brought it back full of air. Lol

fishing newer spots is fun, never know what youll find

At least you didn't skunk lol and it's a nice beautiful day out in nature which is the best part of fishing. Water time in nature I'm God's creation.
Always a good day on the water, even if I catch nothing!

Yeah, I enjoy fall fishing, but those laves sometimes limit what I can throw... maybe a situation where heavier conventional lures have an advantage.
Good luck hope you are able to catch alot of bass great video how do you like the paddleboard I like nikko hellgrammites I need to try out the other baits
The paddleboard has been great. Even the leak from a recent videow as easy to repair.

Agreed - I've been exprimenting with scent, but I don;t always have it with me. part of why the Nikko helgrammites do well - scent built in!

Don't even know my own email address! Lol. email is info@aaronhunt.net. Wasn't thinking straight.
inflatables are becoming next best thing
Agreed. I expect to have Isle's Flywater Skiff next year. I'm kind of dreading loading up the Hobie next week. :)

it comeds with a seat... I just don't use it. :)

Maybe it's Gili, not glide. Also, I've heard Sea Eagle makes a decent SUP for fishing.
And Bote... The names keep coming to me... :P

Seen two dead deer while wading in creeks this year. Very weird.
Yeah, that had me a little freaked out for some reason...
