Thanks for the great video! I fly fish from my paddleboard, and I have a few suggestions for you. Go paddling without any gear, just you and the paddle, and learn to balance on it. Then you won't need to use the cooler for balance. When you're first getting on, try sitting down on it first, then get up on your hands and knees, then turn your body so you're facing the front of the board, and then you should be able to easily stand up. It's a lot easier to balance if you keep your feet pointing toward the front or back of the board. If you need to turn sideways, which you often do when fishing, try getting down on your knees first.
When you pump it, make sure the needle is in the green zone somewhere in the higher end of the green zone if its just you, lower end with gear or a second person.
Props to you for fishing on your maiden voyage on paddleboard! My first time out I caught and landed a shark (+clean & cook). But dude - muh simpler to paddle from seated position on cooler. Stand up to sight fish and cast, but not for traveling. Also - rig a leash system for rod and dry box. Eventually you will fall off, probably when you get real comfortable. I didnt see any wind where you were, but little anchor will prove useful.
More paddle board content! I had a similar company send me a board like that, but i still prefer the hard boards! Ill be watching for when you get a big enough fish to start towing the board!
You will make 18k+….your channel is awesome and fun to watch!! So happy you where able to get out on the water!!! Keep up the great content and hard work!!!!
18K baby! Been with u since the Catch Co. On The Line videos. And really started watchin after the podcast with The Beard & The Badge! Doin great buddy and best of luck to the future for u and the channel brother!
How high was the PSI initially and how much did you pump it up to ? I’ve never been on the water and I’d like to know the ideal pressure before heading out , thanks 🙏
I'm hopefully ordering one within the next week or one like it. The one I'm looking at is an 11'6" and 34" wide. How long is yours? I'll be adding a cooler that I attach a swivel seat on to. You can even use the back D rings to mount a small motor.
To honestly review the board you really should inflate the board to close to the max psi recommend you will have minimal flex. You did extremely well for first time on a board!
Man I can't believe you did this whole thing as your first time on a paddle board! Props to you... I tried one for the first time last weekend and I bailed at least 2 times. I don't think I want to be anywhere around a hook on that thing until I get a little better 🤣😓🚑
Ryan! Great vid! And some good info and humor. Loved it! I’m close to pulling the trigger on a fishing board. Vibe is one manufacturer I’m looking at. Again, well done!!!😊👍🏼👏🏼
I paddleboard fish a lot. If you feel unstable, you may have a board that is too short. A good fishing paddleboard is at least 11ft long for a 5ft or taller person. Weight distribution on the board is important as well. keep the heaviest loads toward the middle of the board....just some tips!
I liked your video man! Just ordered me a paddle board after borrowing my buddies, was able to paddle and fish with an 8 year old on the front standing up. I sat on the cooler and it worked amazing! I ordered the exact same board as him (Amazon aqua plus 11ft). It comes tomorrow and I'm so excited! Watched all the way to the end and we've been subscribed for a long time 😁
I would highly suggest watching some vids on how to hold the paddle or talk to a professional because when I started paddle boarding I held the paddle the same way you did!
really cool fun video. whats your fishing rod? for someone who is not really stable would it be an good idea to sit on the board/straddle and either pull out the fish or trail closer to shallow waters?
I use a cheap inflatable paddle board that has a seat, and just use it like a sit-on kayak. Much more rigid than the inflatable kayaks but with the benefit of putting it in a backpack in the trunk
Hey man I really love that you don’t edit out things like the camera falling over. I just watched your one where you took your John boat out for the first time and it was the same way lol. You are a real one
20.8K, on the rise. Nice to have a up and coming new talent. Wish that my generation had all this camera equipment. Instead we had either a Kodak camera with an optional flash or a VHS tape monstrosity. Good luck and thanks for the sacrifice and time that you put in.
Been kayak fishing in a crescent lite tackle for a while and decided to try out a board now. Got a blackfin model V, which is awesome but definitely requires more balance at 32" wide so we'll see how it goes when I try fishing in it lol. Great video! Look forward to more.
@@FISHERYIN If you’re looking for a paddle board to review, there is a brand called funwaterboard. It seems like they have good reviews and products. They have a few boards for $220 which is really cheap for an inflatable paddle board. I don’t know much about them, but it could be a cool video idea for you. I’m looking on getting the funwater cruise 11.
Looks good, but he is very unstable, I think because of this instability, it is not suitable for fishing. Especially when standing up and throwing a pole I think in the near future I will have an inflatable fishing kayak that is stable enough
I would probably be swimming if I tried on if those boards lol I think you can get a decent fishing wide bottom kayak for that price too. Nice to get something free though. Good video man
Y'all want more paddle board content?
Yes
I totally do
Yeah
Big time. I love the idea ive always wanted to try it. Not anyone can do it lol
Please
8:04 LOL I legit thought this was my stomach makin that noise💀😭
Came to the comments to see if anyone else noticed
It has to be his stomach hahaha

I laughed at how the big fish was gently placed back into the water with reverence and the little fish was just tossed aside like common water trash.
Yes, much more paddle board content. The more you use it the more you’ll get use to it…and it’s fun to watch!!!
When you pump it, make sure the needle is in the green zone somewhere in the higher end of the green zone if its just you, lower end with gear or a second person.
Bro you are so brave for bringing that camera 😂
That just shows you how much trust I had on the board before I got on😂
@LarryMeltonJr
I said that same thing when I saw that! 😅
Hey larry,sup bro?

Duuuuude! Literally just placed an order for one tonight! You gotta show me the ropes around robious or flatwater when it comes in! Stoked.
I caught my biggest ever bass from a paddleboard. Love the video, and thanks for not shouting out "Let's goooooo!" after every fish.
Hehe I wonder who does that 😂

How is that going?? I’m looking forward to do the same!
Now I have another angler to look forward to when they post.
Wooohoooooo! Thank you

Just not enough air
I subbed because you took a minute to introduce yourself, and all the times you dropped the camera. Made it seem authentic and genuine. 🤙🤙🤙
Seeing the board being dragged by the fish, he ran. I can't stop laughing

First video of yours I’ve watched you’ve got a lifelong subscriber here buddy good work making a fantastic video
What weight should I use for lake fishing and pond fishing
I would highly suggest watching some vids on how to hold the paddle or talk to a professional because when I started paddle boarding I held the paddle the same way you did!
Can you get an anchor for the paddle board? That might help
really cool fun video. whats your fishing rod? for someone who is not really stable would it be an good idea to sit on the board/straddle and either pull out the fish or trail closer to shallow waters?
Is in my description!
Nice catch man and nice to see you sharing with the guy on the water
18.1k and you are doing awesome keep up the great work don’t let anyone tell you to stop
Thank you Timothy!
I love the stand up paddle fishing! 🎣🐟
Me too!
You have the same issue I have with my joby gorilla pod.. they turn to floppy junk after a few uses.

Man! This video just made me decide to get a board! Awesome video!
This is my first video of yours that I'm watching. Enjoyed it, subbed and liked. I just ordered a SUP board and looking forward to fishing soon. 👍

We're really enjoying your content in our home. I love the work that you put into your intros.

Can you post a short on how you made the pvc rod holder?
Pretty simple, there’s probably better builds on TH-cam tho😂

Thank you! I’m so grateful for this all
22.5 k bro. Congrats a treat vids so far.
Thanks Robert!
Fisherman that don't drink? Never heard of it.
Nice fish. If u would have dumped, did u have everything tied on? When u sit on cooler, is it more stable then standing?
Most things were tied. Sitting was a bit more stable
And I'm subbed! Bro that was amazing I've been toying behind the idea of a Kayak vs SUP but I think after this video it's a SUP for me.
Been kayak fishing in a crescent lite tackle for a while and decided to try out a board now. Got a blackfin model V, which is awesome but definitely requires more balance at 32" wide so we'll see how it goes when I try fishing in it lol. Great video! Look forward to more.
I’ll take it out this spawn!

Awesome video. That board looks cool
27k! So what do you prefer the yak or paddle board ?
Paddleboard vs the one I have haha
If I had a dollar for every time someone held out their "measuring hands" and said "5lber" lol. Good fish though.
Right 😅
Nice vid as usual Ryan 👍
can verify standing/balancing on floating surfaces is 100% easier barefoot as you have more control of the surface area of your feet without shoes on
18k baby let’s gooooo
They want their paddle board back due to honest review. Lol
