Great stuff! I also use SUP for fishing, but I discovered that it is better when I add a little seat and use it as a sit-on-top kayak on smaller creeks. Stability and control are better, plus it's harder for the fish to see me. Definitely not as comfy as a proper fishing kayak but it's very versatile and a good budget option.
@@AaronHuntFishing My next addiction will be a packraft for the sake of ultimate lightness and portability. There are quite a few places around that are hard to reach and then you have to be on water as well not just for fishing but to reach unbelievable fishing spots.🤞
The inflatables are a pain in the butt sometimes, I have seriously 20 or more patches on mine by now but it’s still going strong. And it definitely is an extreme advantage to accessing places you couldn’t reach any other way. Just fished a super shallow stretch of the brazos river down here Sunday and it helped me a ton over a kayak!
@@AaronHuntFishing yes I’ve noticed some are running sales on them and may have to jump in on one before the year is up. I’ve actually reached out to a couple companies as well to try the collab route still awaiting responses!
Maybe an inflatable paddle board just isn't designed to be used in a shallow creek with sharp rocks. ...maybe. 🤔 Thanks for sharing. Hope the patch kit works! 👍
It was definitely intended to be a test of sorts. :). Patch kit worked just fine. Planning the next creek trip - a little deeper, with the motor next time. Motor upstream, float back down...
Don't forget your geiger-counter next time...just down stream from the nuclear burial site!
Yeah, 100% never eat anything out of there.... lol.
Nice video! Sometimes you have days like that! Thanks for sharing!
Taking the SUP out again tomorrow. It's gotta be better, right? :)

This one has the seat included, I just tend to like to be on my knees. Sometimes I sit though. I love the lightweight portability too!

You've got to be one of the main Ambassadors for SUP fishing! Good to know you've had a hadnful of patches too. :)
@@AaronHuntFishing just make sure you buy the big jar of the vinyl cement 😁
I’ve had days like that! I need to try a SUP at some point.
I've been using this one all season. I plan on having an inflatable kayak for next year.

@@AaronHuntFishing Sounds like a good plan.
Fun times 5 in two hours is a great time.
It was a fun trip - just a few more unexpected challenges than expected!
Nice video it can be hard sometimes what reel was you using
Shimano Calcutta Conquest BFS... '23 model.
What app is that?? I can only label my creek wading on my Garmin Venu fishing after the fact.
Just the 'Fish' app on Garmin Epix...
