Boom tubes are cool BUT if you mount them on a car or truck and they hang under the rocker by 6 inches..... They look like cacca poo

Thumbs down for no sound clip. You can always tell a rookie by the way they hold the torch. And cut the rod in half. Easier to weld exhaust when pulling toward yourself.

Although "from Summit Racing", as a former employee I can tell you these are designed and fabricated at Dr. Gas. (drgas.com) They are really loud and made for track use to just get you under noise limits. They also invented the X-pipe and won several races in NASCAR and other series. They have other spin trap mufflers for street use. They're awesome!

Hey a square wave from the welder? More time welding that cooling? In audio, that would distort an audio signal which is how guitars get that awesome growl. But on an arc welder?

Maybe a dumb question, but do you have to use the tig torch with the filler rod, or can you use an acetylene torch? I've used filler rod on steel with an acetylene torch but have no experience on any other metals, and I've never used a tig torch. Just wondering what the difference is.
That's a cool exhaust. Till you hit a speedbump.
Love the Sydewinder project but unless you're drag racing, the stock rear suspension needs to go in the dumpster. The second mod on ALL Fox bodies (after subframe connectors) should be a torque arm/panhard bar setup. Without any exaggeration it will completely transform the car's handling.

What is the benefit of having a ball and socket joint vs a regular flange??
I did tig welding once and was cool but the heat traveled up the rod burning my hand even though I had gloves on.
why would you not purge the tubing when welding stainless? even welding it to mild steel, a purge would make it weld easier and better looking
Anyone else notice the factory rear end yoke and u bolts... is a potential waiting to happen, get a billet chromeoly piece, they have cap tabs built in and billet caps. Plus u bolts don't equalize the holding torque like a billet cap will. Oh and for those who don't know use a solid pinion spacer not a crush sleeve

Do a video on fixing a old beat up 1950 Ford f1 and keep it stock
some miss information about 308 rod its not for alround stainless steel its used for 304 stainless but its always best to use 316L on 304 or 316 stainless as out always use a higher grade of stainless steel to weld stainless steel so on 304 you use 308L but prefferably 316L and use also 316L on 316 stainless

They aren’t X-ray welds so it doesn’t matter. As long as it holds. Now don’t get me wrong, they could’ve made them look better but not necessary on this imo.

You have er70s-6 and -2 theres no -3 that im aware of and no color on his stainless so he burnt the chromim so its not stailess right there and no purge or solar flux so its sugered wich u dont have to do that but it makes it a lot nicer and way better of a weld with no stress risers in the weld

Why am I watching someone install an exhaust system on my day off from installing exhaust systems. Must have breathed too many exhaust fumes in the last 33 years. No muff too tuff.

Someone said his welding looked like crap,but its alot better than 90% of the stuff people bring to me after they took it to the place that gave the lowest estimate! I'm sure you can relate! Lol

NASCAR has also used 180 degree headers. It's hard to beat the sound of 180 degree headers.

@@kevinjohnson9372 It is when 2 cylinders on each bank share the same 4 into 1 collector for increased high RPM performance. Also called "Bundle of Snakes" and primarily used on classic rear mid engine cars like the Ford GT40/ Pantera aftermarket.

Coolest header system in the world. I'd love to find a way to replicate that sound without crossing over the pipes under the oil pan. Any ideas to get that sound?

Clearly from recent posts some are sold. Project banana split was sold as a partially completed project. They don't seem to do projects with OEMs anymore Because of liability they are usually crushed when the project is done.
