i also show you how to wash ferret blankets and beds safely for them!🛁🧼

@@happypuppies5558 good question! my ferret’s room is completely ferret proof so i’m okay to leave them in there outside of their cage, without 24/7 supervision. i also share my pets with someone else which gives us much more time for them x

Wow. Normally with ferret videos like this there are tons of things wrong and the cage is too small but not here! Your setup is so cool! And the cage is nice and spacious. Also I love your accent.
Also, I got frustrated using blankets in my ferret cage as they were always moved, so I highly recommended buying some cage liners from Etsy. They can’t stash in them then and they match and look super cute.

I have seen lots of ferret and pet youtubers make cage cleaning videos and do a not so great job at it. They use the wrong products and don’t clean it throughly. But, you do such a great job! You let the cleaner sit and clean the cage properly. One of the first!

Your ferrets are just so cute, love them! We have a ferret also! Aren’t they just wonderful animals! Their cage is so sweet! This was such helpful handy tips, thank you for this! Oh look at the little ferret adorable😍 We are looking at getting our ferret a litter tray but think we have left it to late! They love tunnels, I find those tunnels so difficult to clean though haha! You did such an awesome job, their cage looked amazing! I have defiantly learnt so much so thank you so much for this! I love that pineapple!! Those blankets are so cute! Have they got names?? Absolutely loved this video so much 🥰🥰 I’m a huge ferret/animal fan!! Awesome share!! ❤️
thank you, glad you enjoyed!!! 🥰🥰 my albino boy is called Ziggy, my jill is called Mazikeen and my other boy is called Opie! ❤️ i don’t think it would be too late to get yours a litter tray, it just might take a bit more work! i adopted Mazikeen when she was 2 years old and she adapted pretty easily to using one after the initial training! ❤️

you take such good care of your ferrets! I just suggest instead of the water bottle, use a heavy bowl or clip on bowl.

Just wondering how you balance the uni life and owning a lot of pets xx I want to get a pet ferret but I’m worried about how I would deal with going to uni with one. New subscriber and I loved the video!! 💞💞
i have to make sure i have a routine and know what i need to get done! its so helpful for me at least to have a cleaning schedule for the pets so i have set days a week i clean each type of animal cage so it doesn’t get overwhelming all in one day! as for uni life, i don’t really drink so a lot of nights that would be spent going out drinking i stay in and look after my pets 🤣 but i have managed to balance a job with uni life and my pets so it’s not impossible to do other stuff too! and obviously it depends on how demanding your course is. for me this year is super demanding since i’m doing my dissertation, and i’ve had to take a break from my job to get lots of lab work done which i wouldn’t have had the time for with my job! and another thing to consider is where you’re going to be living! if you’re considering taking a pet with you to uni make sure you’re staying somewhere that you’re able to do so! for me in my first year i stayed in halls and there were strictly no pets, but in second year i moved out to the house i’m still currently in which allows them. it can be a lot of work sometimes but i wouldn’t trade my pets for anything, they have really helped my mental health and helped me cope with the stress of uni! 💘🥰

You are so lucky to have ferrets that don’t try to tip their litter box over, and my boy ferret will poop right next to his litter box instead of inside it sometimes and I think it’s because of how tiny it is but I can only find tiny ones that hook onto the cage ! 😂 it’s a pain but I love him anyways

Change the watering thing it’s like a chore for them to get water
I'm pet sitting for my son and they have a ferret they left me instructions on what to do for the dogs and cat but they left out anything for the ferret.
Hey! Just a question, if the ferrets are litter trained do they still have accidents on the fleece? And how often should I wash it. Any tips?
no, they never have accidents on the fleece! once they’re litter trained they won’t go anywhere else in their cage, and since ferrets don’t like to go toilet where they sleep or eat it’s super easy to litter train them, especially if the rest of their cage is fleece - it’s the same material as their beds so they won’t want to pee/poop on it haha😆 they’re actually super clean that way! how often you change the fleece depends on how many ferrets you have, i just wash mine when it needs it so every 1-2 weeks i’d say! x

Where did you buy the litter box? I am always using corner litter boxes for three years now, it's very irritating have to zip tie them to the corner. How do you keep them from moving it around?
Delia i got it from pets at home, i think it was their XL cat litter box if i remember correctly! they can’t really move it around since it fits perfectly across the depth of the cage, and also since it’s quite big i can fill it with lots of pellets so it’s heavy. i’ve heard of people bolting their litter boxes to the sides of the cage as well so it can’t be moved around but that must be more difficult to clean it out i imagine x
@@MaddieLeonczek What are the measurements of the litter box? I went to the website Pets At Home and found it that I believe is the exact one. However, I do not know which size to get. There is Medium - 12.2 x 30.7 x 43cm, Large - 13.5 x 37.8 x 49.5cm, and Jumbo - 15.3 x 43.2 x 57.2cm.

the box itself is an xl cat litter box from pets at home, and the litter is back2nature recycled paper pellets x

How often do you clean your cage?
i clean their litter boxes every day and deep clean every week or so! sometimes it can last a bit longer without a clean since they’re mostly out of their cage xx
Does the U.S. amazon have the formula H disinfectant?
i’m not sure, sorry! if you can’t find it, a disinfectant called f10 is really good as well if you can find that one!

@@migistec yes😊 f10 is actually the disinfectant that i use now ! it’s much more concentrated than formula H as well so the bottle lasts you ages, both are good though!

Are ferrets good pets? I’ve been wanting to get ferrets for soooo long now but I’ve already got 7 pets and I don’t know if I should get any more !x
they’re amazing pets!!! i love mine so much 🥺 they’re pretty high maintenance though but worth it imo💖 if you feel like you really want them and you’ll be able to provide for everything they need then why not! but if you’re happy with the number of pets you have you could always get some in the future if you still wanted them ⭐️ but yes 100% good pets!!

What type of cage do you have for them is it ferret nation??
nope! it is a similar cage though. the inside dimensions of this cage are (as far as i'm aware) slightly bigger than that of a ferret nation, but this cage is available in the uk! the link is in the description if you wanted to check it out x

How often should I clean the cage??
spot clean their litter box every day, and as a general rule deep clean the cage every week, but of course this depends on how many ferrets you have, and what bedding you’re using - it may need cleaning more often if you have a lot of ferrets, just to keep any smells down x

I have just now realized that ferrets are just big rats with fluffy tails.
You should use water bowls instead of water bottles bc the bottles don’t give as much water that the little guys need! And, it also can mess up their teeth! So..I wouldn’t recommend it! Just a tip!

The water bottle may not be a good idea it’s bad for their baby teeth
thanks for your concern! i provide them a water bowl as well, and i put the bottle in the cage too, to make sure they never run out of water! they’ve got a large water bowl outside their cage too and they have access to it all day ☺️ one of my rescue ferrets has been raised drinking from water bottles so she prefers to do so, so i like having it there just to make sure she’s getting enough water! thanks for watching! ☺️xx

you’re right though, water bottles aren’t the best for ferrets! i might try swapping it out for another clip-on bowl inside their cage (so they still have a backup water supply!) and monitor my ferret who prefers drinking from bottles, to see if she’s still getting enough water ☺️ thanks again! 😘xx

I just wanted to let you know that water bottles can chip the ferrets teeth and they don’t give them enough water, leading to dehydration. You might want to switch to a water bowl.

xXItz Me AlybearxX no it’s not, one unit is suitable for two ferrets. i have a double unit for three ferrets. they are free roam all day and only in their cage at night, like i mentioned in the video, so they are hardly in their cage anyway. i purposely put in all that stuff for them, to provide them with as much enrichment as possible for while they’re in their cage, so they don’t get bored. more things in their cage = more enrichment = happier ferrets. thanks for the comment x
you shouldnt be using a water bottle. please upgrade to a bowl- ferrets do not get enough water intake through a water bottle. if you did research you would know that lol.
clearly you didn’t read my pinned comment 🤣 this is a video that i posted over a year ago, and i clearly stated that i no longer use the water bottle in both the pinned comment and the video description. i use to have both a water bottle and a water bowl as one of my rescued ferrets would only drink from a water bottle, as that is all she had in her previous home, so i had both to make sure she was still getting water as she much preferred drinking from the bottle. now, like i said, i have swapped to 2 water bowls instead of one bowl and one bottle. please read the pinned comment or check the description before you leave comments like this. 😊
