“ why she is she out of breath” “ omg she can’t breath” okay and🤷🏻♀️ why does it matter. People have harder time breathing than others and plus who know what she did before the video
Aye I have asthma as well. Folks don't seem to understand that you often have to take a deep breath randomly or even if you do something as simple as cleaning your home or something it'll cause your asthma to spark up and shortness of breath and such.
I love what you've done for your babies!! The bathroom idea at the bottom and the ball/paper pit are awesome ideas!!! I can't help but to take the "why are you so out of breath" comments almost personal lol I just started posting videos about my animals and I get out of breath and tongue tied just while making a 5 min video lol let alone a 20 min one. Unless your a seasoned professional or you've been making videos for years an years then your gonna make mistakes and talk too fast or slow and find yourself out of breath for no reason lol Great Video 👏👏 Just subbed!!
Mine likes weaters basically i have two so each has their own individual sweater, ones much cooler than the other but either way they just lay ontop on the thinner one theyll probably go in it. It seems like for night time they need a night light, anyone else having a problem like that?
If I had a penny for every time the top cage doors were open and then I bent down to clean the bottom and then went to stand back up and smacked my head on the cage doors I’d have enough to get 2,000 more ferrets
I absolutely love your video. We have 5 and are thinking about a 6th. We currently have 3 double high Ferret Nation cages all joined together. Ours are not in our bedroom but in our formal dining room. We never used it for dining anyway. LOL. We also have also a big playpen out side of their cage set up as a play area and then our whole kitchen and attached family room with other play area too. We do have the bins with the Easter eggs in them and I put jingle bells in each egg for added excitement. they love that. We also have a bin with dry white rice that they love to dig in too. Thanks for all the great ideas!
Hi! I just found your channel and it's absolutely fricken awesome. I also have a lot of fuzzy family members whom I love dearly. It's so nice to find people who care about them as much as I do. Last year, my family brought home 2 baby ferrets and 1 older one who was a rescue. Basically one for each of my siblings.(I orginally wanted one too but I knew 3 was already a lot to handle.) And tbh I knew I'd end up taking care of all of them in the long run, which is where I am now. They currently have a two level critter nation cage, but now that they're bigger I feel like their cage should be too. I take them out to play for at least 6 hours everyday but one of our ferrets, toko, is VERY energetic. He gets upset when it comes time to put him back. Sometimes he just lays by the gate waiting for me to come back, and it hurts my damn heart. DEAR GOSH IM RAMBLING. So um, yeah I'm so extremely happy I found this channel. Hopefully by making the cage bigger it'll help toko while he waits for me to come home from school. Thank you for your help.
Amazing setup you have. I’m researching ferrets atm preparing for when I am able to get my first pair. Where I live in Australia my state has banned them and rabbits. It’s a $60,000 fine if I get busted with a Ferret... but I have plans to move to the US and they are legal in the state I’ll be moving to. I didn’t know that the ferret nation could be expanded like this, that’s definitely the cage I’m going to get, starting with a single unit and then adding on to it when I have more room
Just bought my first 2 ferrets! When setting up their cage, I referred to this video so many times. Planning on getting them a Ferret Nation double unit when I move and have more space. Can't wait. Thank you for all the advice!!!
I so need to get one of these cage's. Then every so often I'll get another one. And mine will have a mansion too!! Lol I love how big of a cage you have for them they must be very happy
Amazing setup! I have 3 ferrets and my setup is similar except I have 1 three level ferret nation cage. I use only 2 and the third is outdoors connected to their ferret playpen lol Mine have blankets and hammocks as well....very nice setup!
i’m going to be getting 2 ferrets! and 2 ferret nations i plan to put bunch of stuff in very excited i’m looking into there diets and other important stuff!
This is beautiful! You can tell that your ferrets are very well loved! I bought a new cage for my babies and can’t wait to set it up! The potty room is brilliant!
ping pong balls can make great balls for ball pits I've found. Put mine in a kiddie pool set up they love. Plus you can buy in bulk to fill your pit cheep compared to marketed 'ball pits' for ferrets.
The story about the cage door falling scared me so much... I feel so bad for the owner I bet she felt so guilty for it... I’ll be sure to take the cage doors off before I clean up so my son Tango doesn’t get hurt
Omg, I wish I had read about these before! I have the Ferplast two story cage for my two ferrets and the overall it’s a great cage. But the doors! Every time I need to clean the cage it’s so hard to get in there because of how small the doors are! Definitely going the upgrade to one of these double units in the near future!
How much did this all cost you? Ive been starting to research ferrets and I want to make sure I get everything I need for a cage, currently saving up money for vet bills and such in case something happens
2 double ferret nations are $500, toys and beds and hammocks in there are probably $250, you should have at least $500 for vet bills but more is better, each ferret is around $250 from the pet store, food is $50 month average depending on the amount of ferrets
Awesome video! Thanks for showing it off, and giving me some ideas! Our ferret decided to tear off a bar (kinda like you described) to the cage we've had for a good 7+ years. Same issue, the welding just didn't hold, and our little butthead managed to escape on 2 separate occasions. We tried fixing it, but once he figured out the "weak points" that was it. So now we're on the look for a new cage that won't give us that same problem down the road. Definitely going to look into the Ferret Nation cage. It looks right up our alley, and I'm sure our little guy would love the pace it has! Also side not: Good idea on turning bottom rack under the cage into a play area, We'll likely do the same!
I love your video, I learned a lot. I think those water bottles will harm their teeth. Ferrets drink from bowls like cats do. I use bowls that are attached to the cage. I especially like the drop the water bowl in a ring that's screwed to the cage styles. Also, ferrets need to sleep many hours in darkness so covering the cage up with a breathable cotton blanket helps them maintain melatonin in their bodies for better health.
This was amazing! I currently have 2 girls and they are in a double cheap cage. It was free. I just ordered my 2 double ferret nation cages, and I can't wait to create their new home. Our will be a mansion compared to what they have now! I will be using a lot of your ideas!!!! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
Hey ! I love your set up!!! amazing. my friend and I are putting our cages together today and now we're more excited. One suggestion. I bought one of those food bowls dog breeders use in kennels that tightly screws into the cage in between the bars and out it in that same exact corner you have trouble in because your ferrets poop there. Now my ferrets stopped pooping there finally since now its another feeding area:}
Thanks for uploading, I was thinking about keeping 2 ferrets together as pets but this video has made me realize that it would be a big mistake for me.
Yes I meant keeping ferrets at all. I did not realize there is so much work and money involved with it. I work long shifts and could not give them the life they deserve. You have an awesome setup and time and passion for it.
megamollie9 I have 2 ferrets, they require about 10 minuets of direct care a day. The pine pellets are the best litter. They love free play but they seem pretty happy in their cage. The Ferret Nation cagesvareva very good value.
6:38 I bought that exact same food dish for my ferret nation cage and it was AWESOME... I loved it... till I got my most recent ferret addition to the family... she's a scientist and loves experiments, especially on the theory of gravity... like how much food can a gravity food bin hold? So she just keeps digging the food until the gravity feeder runs out of food and she leaves a big mess everywhere... I finally admitted defeat and switched to some food crocks on the cage instead... she doesn't dig in them, only the gravity bin feeder. Would have been great for my first two ferrets, but my third ferret would always dig all the food out.
I love my 2 ferrets. I have been wondering the best way to make a litter box and BAM you found the best way. What was the name of the litter box idea again?
Hey great video those guys look so cosy. We're hoping to adopt a ferret soon and want to keep her in the bedroom like you. What do you do to manage the noise/ smell? And any wires about the room?
I have a question do you have to have 2 ferrets cause I heard if you only have 1 they will get depressed and die is that true or is it ok to only have 1
Just 1,2,or more just make sure you can make time for them. They are social animals and as long as you give them your time at least 2 to 3 hours a day they will be hsppy ferrets
my son bought a ferret but sometimes he looked depressed and very sad After three months we bought another and everything changed, ferrets are very happy together I recommend that they be at least two, also they take less tine from you.
This cage is amazing! I'm planning on getting a ferret soon, and I already have a few pets (some of which will be kept away for both of their safeties) so if anyone has any tips feel free to say! Also, is it better to have them with others or alone or?
I actually have rats and they have a cage by the same company called the " Critter Nation " cage and it's the same dimensions and size as the " Ferret Nation " cage the only difference is it has 1/2-inch bar spacing instead of 1 inch bar spacing. But basically, that means both cages are about 12 cubic feet of space and ferrets need 6 cubic feet of space per a ferret. Whereas rats need 2 cubic feet of space per a rat so that means in the same 12 cubic feet of space you can either have 6 rats or 2 ferrets.
Hey I love this idea! I think this video was the answer to my prayers for what to do with my ferrets, I'm just wondering exactly what you are using for the litter box? Finding something like that is honestly my biggest problem and I just dont know what to look up to find it
I got so sad when you said someone was cleaning the bottom of the cage and got up and bumped into the top door and he fell on one of the ferrets and the ferret actually died 😭😭😭😭😭😖😖😖😭😭😭
Thanks for this video. I'm looking into getting a new cage for my ferrets. My ferrets cage is quite old. Think it was a Marshall's Townhouse or something like that from like 8 years ago. It's a two layer. But I just recently added a couple ferrets to my bunch so now I have 6 and need a bigger cage. I think I"m going to get a double unit of this plus one add on for now. Maybe add on more later.
I’m getting my ferret Thursday and we’re getting a two story cage with 3 hammocks and slides, but we’re only getting one ferret. Is it okay to only have one ferret?
Hi! U got a nice cage there haha. So im trying to convince my parents to allow me to get a ferret (i would use all of my savings to buy everything i need) and im doing some research. So i got some questions for u if u don’t mind. Did u train them to use the litter box? Or they just started using it? How did u train them if u did? Also, ive heard u need to clean the cage every day, is that true? And if so, what do u mean with cleaning? Wash everything every day, just clean a little bit with a wet towel, etc? What would u recommend me? And the litter box, do u need to change the litter once a week or how does that work? Are they expensive pets overall? Like compared to dogs or cats for example? The ferrel would be my first pet, and tbh my parents are kind of stubborn and don’t like the idea of me getting any pets at all, but im trying to convince them that they are easier to take care, and that they sleep most of the time, and that they have no problem staying in the cage while im not home since they sleep a lot, and that they are small and u only need to bath them once or twice a month, etc. Would u give me any other tips on how to convince them, or just some positive things about ferrets and stuff? Well thank u very much beforehand! And i really liked ur video, good luck!
1Tale4Paws Thanks that was really helpful! Also if your cage has changed at all since you got your newest ferret it would be cool if you would do an updated cage tour (Also RIP Dobby ❤️)
When they are out for free time where do they go to the bathroom? I have 2 of them and a 3 tier ferret nation. When they roam the house I just have to clean up after them cuz they poop wherever.
Really enjoyed the video. I am wondering if you have any more info for the litter bin. I love that it appears to fit perfectly, however I tried the link and it doesn't seem to work. I understand it was posted a couple years ago, so it makes sense it wouldn't work now. Any additional info you can provide? This would work perfectly for our Ferret Nation cage but I am having zero luck finding this bin!
#newTH-camrproblems that’s a much older video of mine; and I’ve learned to both say ‘umm’ a lot less; and learned how to magically remove them in editing 😂😂
Love you double cage. I did purchase one double stack up cage. I wanted to ask you what do you feed your ferrets? I used cat dry food but not sure if thats the best choice.
Are there ever specials or promos for ferret nation?? Needing a double and wanting even more but it's $270 on the site. Can only find cheap versions that have wire ramps on other sites
Where can I buy that type of liter what’s the best option for big bulk best for my buck. I also have the little pan I got at Home Depot and it help the poop not splash out. I just haven’t tried pallets down there but want to because it hard to clean the poop everyday
You can use a cement mixing tub that's what I have, you only have to trim it a little bit. www.lowes.com/pd/Creative-Plastic-Concepts-Large-Mixing-Tub-24-in-W-x-36-in-L-x-8-in-D-Drywall-Mud-Pan/1000642569
Do you know the product you purchased for the litter box? I have a truevalue close to me and I have not been able to find anything similar to that. Thanks in advance
The Amazon link having the grey version which is the old one right? Or it’s not updating the new dark color? Plz help me with this I have 3 ferrets as well and I need that cage if you can help me I really really appreciated
They actually only offer 1 model of Ferret Nation now: so the ones in our links are the newest one. In this video we have 3 of the new ones, and 1 old one. They don’t make the old ones anymore (which is good, because they’re a pain to put together 😂).
That's not a cage that's a ferret Mansion!
I just said that as I was watching lol
Such a great setup. You have very spoiled babies😁
The ferret on the top was so cute and dramatic when he started itching, he had to compeletly stop what he was doing, flop over just to get that spot 😂
“ why she is she out of breath” “ omg she can’t breath” okay and🤷🏻♀️ why does it matter. People have harder time breathing than others and plus who know what she did before the video
1Tale4Paws I understand I have asthma as well. And it sucks when your sick.
Aye I have asthma as well. Folks don't seem to understand that you often have to take a deep breath randomly or even if you do something as simple as cleaning your home or something it'll cause your asthma to spark up and shortness of breath and such.
1Tale4Paws oh oof I thought you were cleaning the cage then you started filming lmao
nice basic snapchat picture
or maybe she always has a stuffy nose like I do lmfao
I love what you've done for your babies!! The bathroom idea at the bottom and the ball/paper pit are awesome ideas!!! This was a really neat and informative video, thanks for sharing!
These cages are the best. So easy to clean
Very helpful. My brother is getting one so I am trying to help him out.
Good for you being a good big sister and so informed! I wish I had someone like you around growing up to help me!
Alissa your so nice
My ferrets don't care about hammocks, they just lay on the floor ;_;
Mine likes weaters basically i have two so each has their own individual sweater, ones much cooler than the other but either way they just lay ontop on the thinner one theyll probably go in it. It seems like for night time they need a night light, anyone else having a problem like that?
They’re like cats, you buy them a nice, expensive bed but they lay down on a card board box instead.
You can get little dog or cat bed's. Or even a tent kinda thing for them. That's what I did with mine
Ha
Great tip on blocking corners
If I had a penny for every time the top cage doors were open and then I bent down to clean the bottom and then went to stand back up and smacked my head on the cage doors I’d have enough to get 2,000 more ferrets
thank god im not the only one who does this.
No kidding! I was bent down changing out the food and I got up to get a waterbottle and slammed my head into the door.
I absolutely love your video. We have 5 and are thinking about a 6th. We currently have 3 double high Ferret Nation cages all joined together. Ours are not in our bedroom but in our formal dining room. We never used it for dining anyway. LOL. We do have the bins with the Easter eggs in them and I put jingle bells in each egg for added excitement. they love that. We also have a bin with dry white rice that they love to dig in too. Thanks for all the great ideas!
I’d be careful with the dry rice or any other kind of food since it can tract insects like weevils.
Omg I never thought to turn the cage ramps over like that. My 2 new ferrets have no idea how to use it or get up it so I’ll try that. Thank you!!
I cannot stress this enough. Thank you so much for this video is was SO informative and entertaining 😃
What an amazing setup, I love how it’s like a house is, bedroom, bathroom, lounge area etc
Hi! I just found your channel and it's absolutely fricken awesome. I also have a lot of fuzzy family members whom I love dearly. It's so nice to find people who care about them as much as I do.
1Tale4Paws yea they are illegal in 2 states.
Thank you 😊

this is very helpful but why is she so out of breath?
Must be over weight
Keira Oravec maybe just a bit nervous filming?
Keira Oravec noyfb lmao
Keira Oravec ikr
Could be cuz she’s talking kinda fast
They look like such happy babies this cage is amazing!
Glad you enjoyed the video! We definitely do our best to try and keep them happy!
What are those bins called or what are they used for? The one you're using for the litter box. I've looked for them everywhere!!!
Did you ever find one? I'm still looking myself lol
I so need to get one of these cage's. Then every so often I'll get another one. And mine will have a mansion too!! Lol I love how big of a cage you have for them they must be very happy

Hello! Sounds like your ferrets have it made! Hope you enjoy the rest of our videos!
Fantastic setup - love your creativity in how you made the different sections into fun unique areas for them!
i’m going to be getting 2 ferrets! and 2 ferret nations i plan to put bunch of stuff in very excited i’m looking into there diets and other important stuff!
@@PawsToJourney up side to easter eggs though is you can put treats in them
This setup is so nice! Thank you for making this video, it was very informative and it gave me lots of ideas I could use for my 3 babies! (:
The story about the cage door falling scared me so much... I feel so bad for the owner I bet she felt so guilty for it... I’ll be sure to take the cage doors off before I clean up so my son Tango doesn’t get hurt
How is Tango?

This is the best cage I’ve ever seen 🤩
6:48 where did you buy that "bowl" of food?😯❤️🐾
I have the exact same striped hammock for my ferret Millie, I got it from pet barn wow🙂
I love your video, I learned a lot. I think those water bottles will harm their teeth. Ferrets drink from bowls like cats do. I use bowls that are attached to the cage. What a great enclosure they have with loads of activity and play places inside way to go!
Hubby and I just upgraded to these after seeing this video! Happy happy ferrets ❤️
So helpful for what cage size I'm trying to get ferrets for my sister we are both researching
This is the best setup I have ever seen definently gave this a like

I'd say it's best to have at least 2.
I can’t put everything in corners because my mom told me to not make the cage crowded so we can watch them
Im working really hard to avoid impulse buy so im learning and preparing before adopting any babies.
Do you have a link to the black pan used in the bottom? 😊
Hi! May I ask Where you got that food dish? Thanks so much!
i love that cage!! I have one ferret nation cage! and my ferrets loveee it!!
Aww your ferrets are so precious ♥️💕
How does the ferret get to each cage? Is there a detachable door or something?
I actually have rats and they have a cage by the same company called the " Critter Nation " cage and it's the same dimensions and size as the " Ferret Nation " cage the only difference is it has 1/2-inch bar spacing instead of 1 inch bar spacing. Rats are such great pets too!!
Absolutely love this. Is there a link for the litter box?
I feel bad now for wanting. To give my ferret a 3 story home now.
This is how many times she said Um 😂
(No hate I love this video I just thought that was funny ❤️)

What food do you use?
What type of bedding do you use in the plastic bin?
1Tale4Paws what about the stuff you use in the bin next to the ball pit?
When I clean the ferret cage I usually put the ferrets in the ball pit 2 play or
Let them loose in a play pen
Yup lol
What do you feed your ferrets?
Currently I think I’m going to get the Wysong Digestive stuff.
1Tale4Paws Thanks that was really helpful!
Also if your cage has changed at all since you got your newest ferret it would be cool if you would do an updated cage tour
(Also RIP Dobby ❤️)
1Tale4Paws l’ve owned ferrets for over 25 years. Evo is the best
When they are out for free time where do they go to the bathroom? I have 2 of them and a 3 tier ferret nation. When they roam the house I just have to clean up after them cuz they poop wherever.
CORNERS. they loveeee pooping and peeing in corners!
I have a critter nation for my rats. A double one.
Really enjoyed the video. I am wondering if you have any more info for the litter bin. I love that it appears to fit perfectly, however I tried the link and it doesn't seem to work. I understand it was posted a couple years ago, so it makes sense it wouldn't work now. Any additional info you can provide? This would work perfectly for our Ferret Nation cage but I am having zero luck finding this bin!
they are so spoiled lmaooo my inspiration
I know I'm 3 years late but you said "um" a lot of times 😂😂
If you vacuum, does it hurt their little ears or is it okay?
Would two double critter nations be ok for 2 ferrets?
The amount of times she says Um and uh around 17:30 on drives me insane lol
#newTH-camrproblems that’s a much older video of mine; and I’ve learned to both say ‘umm’ a lot less; and learned how to magically remove them in editing 😂😂
Love you double cage. I did purchase one double stack up cage. I wanted to ask you what do you feed your ferrets? I used cat dry food but not sure if thats the best choice.
I just ordered a ferret nation cage off Amazon after watching this video!
So does the room have to be room temperature? because my room is a little colder than normal
How much was everything? The ferrets, vaccinations, toys, hammocks, and cage. I’m wanting a ferret but don’t know how much everything will cost.
i love these cages, im going to get an other to attach liek yours soon i think :)
im mving into a shipping container home and plan on giving them their own lil room ill make sure to make a video when its done :D
1000th follower!
Loved the video! What ferret litter are you using?
Are there ever specials or promos for ferret nation?? Needing a double and wanting even more but it's $270 on the site. Can only find cheap versions that have wire ramps on other sites
Could you add a feisty ferret cage to what you have
How much money was it when you got it?
There was an ad and it was 33 mins long 😝
Where can I buy that type of liter what’s the best option for big bulk best for my buck. I also have the little pan I got at Home Depot and it help the poop not splash out. I just haven’t tried pallets down there but want to because it hard to clean the poop everyday
We purchase ours from Tractor Supply. It's called Natural Pine Pelletized Bedding, and it's about $6.99 for 40 lbs. :) Hope this helps!
what is being used for the litter box? is there a link to it? i like this very much!
