    Hi, a gal here, great installation video. My risers are on order. Can't wait to install and the clip tips on cables was a bonus, thanks for making tutorial.

    I have the same risers on my se and also the rear rack you fitted in your last video.
    I have combined the rear rack with the honda soft panniers and rails, great combo.
    Cheers for the tip on the brake line as i never fitted my risers so i dunno if the person who fitted them knew to pop the cable out.

    Mike, did you find any problems with cables and such hitting the tank either fully turned left or fully right?

    • @EastCoastMoto
      @EastCoastMoto  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No everything seemed to fit fine. That said I would not recommend getting larger risers or higher bars without getting new cables. This seems to bring it to the safe limit.

    Do you have water collecting in those front bolt holes? I think they should supply some kind of cap for that. Maybe just me though.

    What stands are you using? Great video, will use it

    • @EastCoastMoto
      @EastCoastMoto  ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s just a basic stand with paddle mounts. It’s not great, but it works and doesn’t scratch anything. I’ll try to find a picture, but it’s honestly the most common rear stand

    What color are your dad's grips? I have the same bike. There's 3 different browns but I think hes is the best color to go with the seat. Ty

      I couldn’t tell you off hand. It came with the bike. You could order a couple and returns the ones that don’t match.

    Have you seen any issues with the brake line since you've installed the risers?

  • @my2wheels
    @my2wheels ปีที่แล้ว

    As for the Riser, comfort riding must be better? Also does it give you better clearance for the handlebar does not strike the tank?

    • @EastCoastMoto
      @EastCoastMoto  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Comfort is certainly better. Less or a hunched over position and more neutral. Yes the handle bar is further away from the tank now on full locked turns.

      You did not reroute the brake line? Others have had to….

    • @EastCoastMoto

      @@michaelthompson7570not with these risers. Larger risers you would need to. I did need to loosen the line by removing it from the rubber grommet. I show where in the video

    Mike, you mentioned that this mod was for your father. How tall is he? and did he find they helped his reach and posture position? did you torque any of the bolts and if so what ft. lb ?
    Thanks DL

    • @EastCoastMoto
      @EastCoastMoto  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      He is 5’3” and it helps quite a bit. I’m 5’7” and I notice it’s less of a reach and not so hunched over. Small modification that that certainly is worth it.

    • @EastCoastMoto
      @EastCoastMoto  ปีที่แล้ว

      I didn’t go by any specific torque. I’ve been working on bikes several years now and just go by feel. That said the torque settings for this should be in the service manual. You can always throw some blue loctite in it

      I’m 5’5 on a good day lol, 5’4 really, and I just installed these on my 500 and immediately noticed how much better my posture was. Just an overall better feel. Thanks again, Mike.
