I remodeled with my 85 year old mother and the future old me in mind. We don’t use dishwasher. We are short thus cannot reach upper cabinets. I put in walk in showers with very low threshold and curtain. I stalled safety bars. Flooring is nonslip. I don’t care about the future buyers. They can tear everything out to make this place their ideal home ;)

This video speaks to me 🙌🏻
My preferred creative outlet is finding unique ways to cultivate or repurpose areas of my home. I have a blast rebuilding old furniture and save tons of money buying materials, tools and home furnishings second-hand. I've been able to create some pretty awesome (in my opinion) rooms with relatively little money spent.
I couldn't agree more - our homes can be a creative expression, which often means ignoring the "rules". Although as you said, acknowledging some foundational principles of design is likely a good idea too. Really enjoyed this one!

Wow wow wow Reynard! I’m loving this series ! Loving loving!! It comes in so timely because all the last 4 videos you’ve shared are a huge factor on how I’m putting my house together. I wish in the end I could show you! Thanks so much for all the tips, knowledge and ideas you’re sharing!! FREE OF CHARGE TOO !! I could be imagine how much I’d have to pay or spend to get my house looking the way it is if I had hired an interior decorator or just went off and shopped for things I didn’t even need! lol. Thanks again !!

You called it out on that matchy match stuff and that is lack of personality. We all get caught up with that mindset, and it is hard not to buy showroom looks because the advertising that is out there makes it look sooooooo beautiful😊

lol, I bought a sectional couch 40yrs ago..it barely fit into my apt. I made it fit into every apt since. Right now I'm prepping it for reupholstering. I really should have measured the space but am happy I purchased it. Great point to remember stop listening to trends, unless they suit you

I love these videos. I just redid my entire bedroom top to bottom, i purchased complimentary pieces and only matched duplicates, like both night stands match. I love my room so much more than before when i had my old bedroom set.

In our previous apartment, we had an entrance with no natural light. I painted the ceiling dark green and the walls green-tea. Doors and drawers were also painted green-tea. It looked awesome! We ended up selling when the marked started to decline, but the buyers fell in love with the first impression of the green entrance. Even the storage/walk-in-wardrobe was painted in the same colours. It used to be white and it couldn’t have been more dull!

Most of my decor is from vintage shops and auctions! It takes a lot longer than buying things new, but you can get some really high-quality pieces that way for very little money.

It will not look busy anyway. But if you insist, just keep walls with few things and keeping more empty wall space.

Some people create forceful controversy just to get more advertisement lol...janata ko sab dikhai deta hein. Janata ko pata hein chalak aur chatoor ka fark hein. By the way I have dislike the video. It's not about following or unfollowing. It is more about how much a thing damage the society as whole....
