I only discovered your videos recently and love them. I’m catching up on all your past ones. I love your design aesthetic and your minimalist style. It’s rare to find a TH-camr who is consistently good, but you have nailed it. I’m a Sydneysider and it’s nice to see such good content from a local.
Fantastic content with clear explanations and visual examples of the different interior designs. My interior design leans into eclectic: a mix of MCM, Scandi, transitional.
Would love to see you put these concepts into practice for your clients! My partner and I have different styles (him more industrial, me more Scandi) and I have no idea how to accomplish both within a limited space when we finally live together, especially with his already existing furniture 😂
Love this video. Your explanations & accompanying photos are so easy to understand. I like something from each style. But I lean towards organic modern & traditional.
Great Information regarding different interior design styles. I will be moving in my new flat of apartment later this year. Wanted to mix specific interior design styles for each room(Living, Bedroom, Dining and Kitchen). After seeing your video, I am mostly fond of Coastal, Scandinavian and Contemporary. Need some tips to choose which interior design is best for each room? ❤
That was just absolutely lovely and so useful to watch! Just tomorrow I'll be moving out to officially start living with my girlfriend. We're both very excited as actually each of us is from a different city from the one we're currently living in - and in the many years we've lived here, neither of us really dared to personalize our past appartments. I found your channel searching for inspiration and ideas for what will be our very first real home in this city, and I couldn't be happier with your content. Thank you and congratulations for all your amazing and delightful work!
Your content is amazing. I have one editing request: lower the white point of your transitions and white backgrounds to more closely match the white point of the camera you use on yourself. It's REALLY bright when watching at night 😭 we love watching your videos to calm down at night and get inspired for the day ahead.
Appreciate the feedback! I'm testing a black transition on a new video coming up today, also lowered the white point of the background. Hopefully it'll help.
Great video as always! Are you still planning on doing the design tips for viewers homes? I submitted everything a while back and was really looking forward to your advice! :)
And TIL, my preferred style leans towards art deco and transitional. Wondering if I can somehow incorporate this with more industrial-contemporary my partner prefers for our place. So difficult! I'm trying to figure out what to call what my mom wants for our other home... its a more California spanish Moroccan but earthy vibe (stained glass accents, but wide and bright french doors, a sage-y green kitchen, machuca tile accents). It sounds so confusing, but I can envision it!
My boyfriend hates all the things I love and loves grey wooden floors, which is the only thing I hate with a fiery passion. If moving in together doesn't split us up, nothing ever will🤣
My partner and I have opposite tastes, we worked together to find furniture that we both like, vetoing anything we are against, and ended up with an authentic and collected home that doesn't follow any specific trend yet feels cohesive and stylish. I'm sure you both will create an interesting style that's a mix of your individual selves!
It's from IKEA :D Here's the link www.ikea.com/us/en/p/fejka-artificial-potted-plant-indoor-outdoor-magnolia-20493384/ - We trimmed and bend it a bit so it looks a tad more realistic
Most of these styles look very similar. The same white boucle' chair was in a number of them. I found almost all of these to be rather dull- with primarily white walls, modern furniture, and very little color. I saw little to distinguish these styles, outside of the farmhouse, country rustic, and traditional styles. Even the examples of Art Deco were all white and neutrals. What has happened to the expression of individuality in this culture? Even the examples of industrial were tame. And Boho white? Or Scandi boho? That's a bit of a contradiction in terms, isn't it? I thought boho style was centered on global tastes and colors, with a strong element of Roma caravan over-the-top fabrics and painted furniture. Even the midcentury modern was washed out- no golds, oranges, turquoise, etc. Do you think color will ever return to the US design aesthetic? Or will we have to live with ten different "styles" that can all be bought at Ikea for another decade and feature white, off white, beige or greige with accents of black?
I came to leave this very comment but you beat me to it and said what I was thinking far better than I could have. I was especially confused at around 2:38 when he was talking about art deco having bright and deep blues, greens, reds and yellows - there was barely any of these colours to be seen in the rooms he showed, it was just more of the neutral-on-neutral that has been trendy for a while now. A while back I was looking for images of what I expect to be quite colourful decor styles like Spanish Hacienda, and even those were mostly beige and off-white. I don't know what has happened to colour, it's as though someone soaked all the spaces in some bleach water and washed most of it out.
@@user-kpkxgtj Don't fret. Some of these designers have announced the death of gray interiors and heralded the coming of color: beige! Beige is the rage in 2024. Sigh.
@@willieverusethis so we're going right back to where we were just before the world went grey. Oh, joy. I wonder if they'll be pushing that pintrest beige with the greenish undertones.
I love Organic Modern, Warm minimalist, and Japandi styles. Currently, I am trying to mix these 3 styles for my apartment design
Probably the best "interior design styles" video on TH-cam. Informative, beautifully illustrated and classy. Thank-you.
Reynard: your videos, vision, taste, and wisdom are going to guide my design process for many years to come. Thank you for all the quality content!

What an outstanding video. Your descriptions and visuals were stunning. Even the images of the styles I don’t like were gorgeous. Loved this 😊
Glad you enjoyed it!
Fantastic content with clear explanations and visual examples of the different interior designs.

So excited! Exactly the type of vid I was waiting for! 🙌

I love all your videos! Loved this breakdown and all the beautiful examples that were selected.
Love this video. Your explanations & accompanying photos are so easy to understand. I like something from each style. But I lean towards organic modern & traditional.
I appreciate your quality-full videos, thank you!
Thank you!!! Wonderful videos! I’m mixing modern farmhouse and industrial.
This is advice I needed now. Struggling with mixing styles into 1 space.

They should be pretty easy to mix together. I've seen so many contemporary coastal homes, and scandi elements can go naturally within.
Great video!
I love Japandi but sometimes I miss a bit of color so I am trying to combine it with Mid century modern. Hopefully it works out 🤞
13:34 What combination is this design? Thank you for this awesome video!
Great video🎉

Really well covered! Great examples and you really hit the nuances of each style and what makes it unique. Great video!

I second this! i’m watching on my TV before bed and the white screams in my face haha
Appreciate the feedback! I'm testing a black transition on a new video coming up today, also lowered the white point of the background. Hopefully it'll help.
I loved this video. Thank you so much!🤍🤍🤍
Great video as always! Are you still planning on doing the design tips for viewers homes? I submitted everything a while back and was really looking forward to your advice! :)
Yes it’s currently in the works! We’ve rendered out some of the spaces, so shouldn’t be too long until it’s out.

Drinking game: everytime he says however
I'm drunk less than 30 seconds in 😅
I think it's cute and makes his speech style really recognizable. Not sure why you need to be rude...
Can you do different rooms as different styles?
My boyfriend hates all the things I love and loves grey wooden floors, which is the only thing I hate with a fiery passion. If moving in together doesn't split us up, nothing ever will🤣
If interior design is important to you, this may not be your guy. I’ve been through an oppositional man and it’s not worth it.

This is a great way to do it.
Can share abit about Wabi sabi?
My favourites are transitional, scandinavian, japandi and industrial. Can I combine them all? 😂
Heyyyy can I ask what the tree/plants are behind you please?😅

And india is completely different story in design, put more about different countries style of decorating as traditional or trasitional

Most of the people that use Boho style usually don’t shower and they smoke weed
We don't have to shower. We drench ourselves in patchouli oil. :D
these styles are like women's behaviours - no clear rules, standards, patterns, logic whatsoever.
thank you for this video I subscribed immediately after finishing it. see you in other videos and thanks for the help 🤍
