HAPPY 43RD ANNIVERSARY, JERRY AND LINDA! Thank you for sharing your lives with all of us.Very interesting show today Mr. Novak sure knows a lot about his business and i learned alot today. God bless you both!
Super interesting! We visited FL from out of state when my daughter was two months old. She was bottle fed and refused to eat/drink for two days. She was hungry as she would suck like crazy on a pacifier, even though she never took one prior. It was getting very concerning and I was scared. I’m not sure what caused me to think it might be the water, but once I started using bottled water, she started to eat again! We were at The Villages in May for a Lifestyle Visit and the water was very unpleasant to me. Thanks for the great information!
Jerry and Linda, This is very helpful information as we just purchased a villa in the Atrium Dells village and had our water tested by Home Depot. Well, I received a call to tell me that the Hardness should be 2-3 GPG and actually tested at 10 GPG. Plus the solids test should be 80-100 PPM and actually test results are 163 PPM. Again, thank you for bringing this subject up. I plan on calling Bob Novak to install filter system in our home. We are from CT and our home has well water so the difference we notice was clearly not like our well water.. Good job guys. John DePuma
Thanks Linda and Jerry for the very informative video. I moved to the Villages in Jan 2020 and had watched your previous video on the Nova system. It was one of the first call we made after moving into our home.
Thank you again for such an informative interview! We used to live in Houston Texas, and the water there was never cold enough because the pipes weren't insulated and the ground was warm. Here in Virginia, cold water gets mostly cold in the summer because we have insulated pipes and the ground is still cool, but hot water in the cold of winter takes time. I'll take warm Florida water and add ice from my freezer.
I’m in NW Florida on a well system. Great water! I enjoyed this segment guys as I do all your videos. Thanks for posting and stay cool. We’re under a extreme heat warning this week. I prefer hot weather …hate cold! Hi to Gizmo!🐶
Wow. Great video. We live inNW Florida. Been here for 6 yrs. We noticed the same thing when we moved from Ky. We too went to the water company, no answer. Some excuse. We bought a whole house water filter. It did change the smell, but I still will not drink from the tap. This video had some good explanations and we appreciate it!!!!! Hugs to Gizmo🤗
I think this was one of your best videos about moving to Florida and The Villages, I learned so much about water in general and also what water is like in Florida. Most people, in my opinion, think water must be bad for humans, if it doesn't taste to their liking. Thanks for setting us straight. I see now where it can make sense to have some type of water filtration system. The powers that be can set higher chlorine levels that they feel is safe, but that doesn't mean it is necessarily safe for our tastes. We also have to think of our pets and water. I had dogs growing up; but, never considered what water might be best for them. Bless you, we have not moved to Florida yet and already you have helped my preparations considerably. Thanks you so much and I wish you the best running this channel. How does Gizmo like the water? :)
I used a professional groundwater testing lab to check my water too. Since I had a well I had to have my water analyzed by a professional lab prior to sell of my property.
Another interesting and informative show. Living in the mid west we have "hard" water. I never considered differences between water filters and softeners.
I use a Brita filter and pitcher to remove the chlorine taste, which is very mild, for my drinking water. Our water here in Sunrise tastes fine right out of the faucet. It’s too bad you couldn’t get someone from your actual water source.
Jerry and Linda introduced me to The Villages. I never knew it existed. They make me want to move there. They are the best ambassadors The Villages has and they are such genuinely wonderful people.
It doesn't surprise me that the content of your TH-cam channel is top notch. Excellent information in this video. The only negative is...no Gizmo!!! I'm sure he was busy preparing for the next video. Take good care you three! Ron
I'm the same as Linda when it comes to the taste of water. Most water out of the tap tastes nasty, that's why I've had a filter on mine forever. I guess when you think about the chemicals that are dumped in our water supply, it's no wonder it's really not safe to drink....
WANT ! people still drinking out of the tap... :). As a kid we drank from garden hose and had that rubbery taste... Worked for a farmer who would send us out with empty bleach bottles rapped in soaked burlap sacks filled with water and had a little green algae growing in them... Said I'll never drink out of them... But after 4 hours of 100° heat that was pretty good water...
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) are both responsible for the safety of drinking water. EPA regulates public drinking water (tap water), while FDA regulates bottled drinking water.
Hey Jerry! Hey Linda! We went back to view your filter changing video. Wondering if you ever figured out that you put the 5 micron filter in the 10 micron spot? That's something I would do. If we have a leak there'll be two [or three] by the time I'm done.
I think a lot of this filtering of water is psychological especially with all the advertising about filters and water bottles. As the last mayor of Miami said during the last big hurricane, "Our water is perfectly safe to drink."
Thank you for responding to me. The post was about the Property Owners’ Association but mostly about an upcoming meeting they will have in October I believe to vote on the Villages ambulance service. I thought that was something every homeowner in the Villages would be interested in especially since your current ambulance service is unacceprable. I think the website is poa4us.org. Check it out.
Jerry, Linda and Gizmo, another good video. Thank you. However, Bob Novak, you kept referencing FDA as agency that was responsible for water safety. That's not correct. The EPA sets the guidelines for the water that comes out of our tap. The FDA only checks quality of bottled water. Since you sell filtration systems, I'm assuming you know that. I'm hoping it was just a slip of the tongue.
The current cost is $599 for the Whole House Filter and if you wish to add a softener they are $899 Those prices are good for orders until Aug 15th, (installs within a short period of time will be honored) then a small increase will go into affect. Annual (7-12 months depending on water usage) cost for filters is $85 Please go to our website all costs are listed NovaFilters.com
I have a question which I don't know if you or anyone else can answer. Does the water (with no filter) have fertilizer in it? Since water is underground. Thanks for your reply 💕
What a shame...You have to pay for your water in the Villages then filter and soften it...Thats a bummer in my eyes...If you had your own personal well, then its understandable....HJ the retired plumber...I would go with a whole house Reverse Osmosis if I move down ...
We field questions every single week from people that are worried about the water quality, and the sustainability of water. We reached out to several people to comment on this situation and did the best we could.
Have learned a lot by watching you folks. Thank you all very much!
You're welcome David, thank you!
I’m pleased with my Nova filter system in Hawkins. The company was very responsive to a minor issue after the install and I highly recommend them.
When I move to the Villages next year, a Nova whole-house filter system is tops on my list. Thanks!
Jerry and Linda,
Great video and certainly useful and helpful information 👍
The harder water can definitely affect the longevity of your appliances.

Exceptional video, well done and Informative. I’m either installing a water softener and filtration system when I move or just drinking beer 🍺
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Great interview. Thank you.
Hi Jerry and Linda, great information, thank you for sharing!
Very educational, no matter what state you live in! Thanks for sharing....God bless.
I think water taste is what you are used to, like tomato sauce, pizza and bagels.
I love your home and decor.

Having one installed today!
I used a professional groundwater testing lab to check my water too. Since I had a well I had to have my water analyzed by a professional lab prior to sell of my property.
I drank the water out of a pool faucet so it was funky. So I am happy Nova is around. I will have one in October and I think I talked to Bob
Thanks! Love my NOVA system
Thank you for sharing. Very informative show!! You guys are the best!!!
Very informative thanks!!
Thank you again another good video keep up the good work!

I see that TH-cam earnings were up 84 percent this quarter. I am assuming that Jerry and Linda are the primary drivers of this growth. LOL.
😁🤣🤣🤣🤣😁

Will come a day when water will be like gold
Great video thanks guys’🙏❤️🇺🇸
Good info! TY.
Linda looks terrified while he describes the things digestible in the water 😳

Oh you poor, poor Villagers. My last US residence, Snotsdale Aridzona, had 25-35 water hardness 😯
We are FT RVers and winter in AZ. AZ has some of the hardest water we encounter in our travels across the US.
Very interesting.
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) are both responsible for the safety of drinking water. EPA regulates public drinking water (tap water), while FDA regulates bottled drinking water.
I was curious about all the chemicals used on the golf courses? How does that effect the ground water as far as chemical contamination?
they get into the Aquifer
What is the name of the barber shop you went to
Brandi's Place on 301
Thanks for that info I have heard there are aqua firs already used up because of the bottled water companies not because of the amount of people ?
My digestive system does not agree with Florida tap water.
Thinking about a lifestyle visit. Kind of comporting to hear a New York accent for a change.

YES! Discovered right away and redone off camera. 😛😛😛
Bottled water for drinking is very important and solves the problem
All bottled water is just distilled tap water.
@@daviddixon6408 I'm sure I don't need to tell you the source of the water is very important.. just ask the people of Flint Michigan
Hard to take a shower or do laundry with bottled water I would think.
@@novafilters that's why I clearly said for drinking novacaine
Thank you for another informative video. By the way, I wonder if Bob Novak the same guy who drives an electric solar-roof golf cart. Cheers ☕️☕️ -
Yes solar is great!
Thanks J&L, Great info! How is the vacay treating you? J did you get to fly the plane yet? 😁
Sadly, no. 🙁🙁
I think a lot of this filtering of water is psychological especially with all the advertising about filters and water bottles.
As the last mayor of Miami said during the last big hurricane, "Our water is perfectly safe to drink."
And, just like that, my link has been removed? What is so dangerous about a link for the Property Owners Association?
We never saw your post. Don't have any idea where it went or what it said. Sorry.
Thank you for responding to me. The post was about the Property Owners’ Association but mostly about an upcoming meeting they will have in October I believe to vote on the Villages ambulance service. I live in the villages and installed a system which was not Nova! You get what you pay for! Do your homework and research!
Are you happy with your system? Tell us what you like about it.
Cost.....we need Cost.......Initial and yearly.

I think California and Arizona is going to run out of water first.
I have a question which I don't know if you or anyone else can answer. Does the water (with no filter) have fertilizer in it? Since water is underground. Thanks for your reply 💕
Yes those chemicals work their way into the Aquifer
@@novafilters Does Nova filter, filter out the fertilizer chemicals?
I still like my Gin better than the water

Bob's company can install the reverse osmosis system too. They will install a water softener if you desire one of those.
I found this interview a little dry………sorry
