My instinct says to point the injector as far as reasonably possible at the back of the inlet valve. Often with stuff like this the overriding factors are practical considerations with regard to manufacture and packaging.
@vidars2606 thanks, I haven't as I don't have the software to do cfd simulation. If you do it on paper it'll be 1 dimensional steady state which won't cut it.
You can try lost PLA casting, there is a guy with a TH-cam channel, where he shows how to use a microwave oven for burning out PLA from moulds, melt metal, and how to vacuum cast.

That's what I'm finding regarding packaging, I'll try a version with the injectors further back though.
Good job. the best place to put the injector is about 100mm away from the intake valve ie. Standoff injection
Exciting project you are working on. Have you included the air flow in the calculation when you set the angle of the nozzles?

Is it possible that you can blow air into the intake pipe while testing the nozzle and in that way see how this changes the spray mist?

It's an interesting idea, I have wanted to try aluminium casting.
Can you not drill the injectors directly in the head like for the screamer motor used to drill the carb mounts directly and close the original ports
It's an interesting idea, I need to see where is safe to drill on these heads but it's not impossible.
No need to overthink it really given the head design and how they ran just fine on carbs spraying at odd angles.
