      @@benchristopher76 It’s strange that the delay can only be set via the tap tempo button. Isn’t it hard to be precise with the option?

    • @benchristopher76
      @benchristopher76  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@automatoncollectives7237 I guess it depends how precise you need to be. With an amp like this, I'm generally going by feel or sound. The Sanpera 2 may be another option for tying to dial the speed with its LCD screen, and I have yet to plug into the PC and try and set delay. You may have the option there.

    The X is so sick man wow. I am a Pro 100 user of 7 years (the flagship grandson of the VIP models) and it sounds pretty interesting compared to the overly high, processed tone of the older models.

    I have a Vypyr VIP 3 and the gate is set on. I figure the Vypyr 2 gate is on because there is no noise, but the Vypyr X 2 has noise no gate this might make it sound somewhat fuller. Your comparison was awesome both sound good.

    X sounds more modern

    Love my VIP2. I like that it's all on the dials. There are no menus to navigate thru. Easy to edit and save. And with the Sampras footswitch, it's simple to have 8 easy to get to saved sounds.

    @Ben Christopher Super exciteed to watch your 8 string guitar videos soon. That 7 string guitar video sounded incredible. Also, is it possible if you can please do some videos of you testing out bass guitars with these amps. You know one thing I love about peavey is that they are sharing these amps with bassists as well. You know allow them to plug in their basses into these amps. That’s what I love about these amps. Plugging in any guitar, whether it’s acoustic electric, electric guitars, and basses into them. So incredible. Keep rockin’ and keep it metal.

      @@benchristopher76 Awesome. That’s what I like to hear. i was watching your old videos of you unboxing 7 and 8 string guitars, and definitely I’m stoked to watch you demoing those guitars in future videos if you still have some of them in your shop. Sadly I’m not in the Des Moines area. I live in a different state, not gonna say where I’m from, but I’m in a place where the desert is, and where it’s always hot every summer. Looking forward to your next video. Keep making more awesome content, and keep making the videos raw footage for sure. i appreciate most you-tubers who demo guitars using an interface, but I prefer lajit raw content where a camera can pick up the sound of pickups in new guitars that you demo. That’s what i prefer, so this way whenever I am able to step into a guitar center to find those particular guitars, i get an idea what those particular pickups sound like. Especially if i hear you demoing an 8 string Legator Ghost guitar with Fishman Fluonce active pickups in it. have a great day, and let’s keep sharing the gift of music. It’s something that will heal everyone’s mental health, besides mine since we are all struggling through these hard times for the past 2 years. But we will get back on the road to normalcy soon, i hope. Stay safe, stay well my friend, and keep holding on, and don’t give up. Let’s not give up. The guitar is our best friend, it’s a tool that heals mental health, and playing music as musicians is healing the minds of people that are suffering with depression, and anxiety. And you and i as musicians will keep healing the minds of millions across the globe. Take care buddy. 🌵☺️📍

    Great vid man! Was wondering if u could help me out on choosing between the two. I could get the vip 2 used for about a $100 cheaper but clearly the x2 seems to sound a little better. What would you think? Is it worth the extra 100?

    • @benchristopher76
      @benchristopher76  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Get the X2 unless the extra $100 just isn't feasible. The X2 has a warmer, deeper tone and lacks the digital noise that is sometimes noticeable on the VIP2

  • @ichepurnoy
    @ichepurnoy 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I wonder how exactlyt you did mike the 2 amps up? Because here I also tend to like the X2 more that VIP-2. But in your other video (3 amps in a row: 30W, VIP-2 , X2), VIP-2 sounds better to me in all tests. I do not see any microphones next to the speakers. I think that properly miking them could make a huge difference in how it sounds on video, vs how it really sounds, if we were to sit there next to you. Thanks for cool playthroughs)

      Here are two tips for your older Vypyr 30w,this is my own tweak i discovered for my original Vypyr 30 and 75w amps,first i made my own beam blocker out of a CD glued to a wooden support brace i installed to the inside of the speaker grill,you have to remove the speaker to do this,you can also cut a 4" diameter piece of duck or other kind of tape to place inside of and on to the speaker grill cutout,the beam blocker will filter out the harsh high frequencies for a much better tone from your vypyr.
      The second tweak is my zero pitch shift setting,go to your effects pitch shift and set parameter 1 and 2 to a 12:00 noon position,you should not have any +or- pitch shift but just a 0 setting,this will make you vypyr sound louder and fatter more tube like sounding,the high gain models will sound better and less thin and fizzy sounding!I think everyone who still has the older vypyrs should try my tips out,let me know if you like them?
