This is hilarious! I started eating low fat high starch about 15 years ago after reading 'The Starch Solution ' by John McDougall. My weight went from 184 to 144 lb. in 6 months. Then I got misguided and stop worrying about high fat and start consuming seeds and nuts. My weight did go back up to 165 lb. Now I am again eating low fat high starch and weighing 150 lb.
U should have worn those glasses with the eyes attached with springs. While you’re talking they’d be bobbing around making u seem credible hahahahahah. This is actually very funny I’m LOL at work
She is being pressured to abandon Mcdougall's legacy, and to fire me, b/c I am the best teacher of Mcdougall's work, and the low fat starch based vegan diet. The Kempner picture is just a sham pretext. It's okay in American grade schools to poyson children with amphetamines for adhd, to castrate children, to adreenoh-crohme them, to trahffick them, to have drag queen story day them; but if Dr Rogers makes a joke about a doctor having a harem 50 years ago, that's a moral outrage? It's obvious BS.
I am still VERY suspicious about suncreams and I still never use them. When I was a fat meat eating kid, I would go on vacation to Mexico and coming from Canada, there was no adjustment period so I burned easily. As an adult meat eating alcoholic, I burned easily in Canada during the summer months too. When I moved to Australia, I didnt used any sun screen and I was mostly vegetarian - never burned once and now I'm fully vegan and I dont even turn red after a full day in the sun
There's been a bit of a stir about avocados lately, and it's important to get the full picture when it comes to food. Simply slapping a negative label on something without acknowledging its potential benefits can be a bit misleading, wouldn't you say? Now, it's true that some foods contain naturally occurring bits and bobs that can interfere with nutrient absorption. But the key here is the wealth of fibre, potassium, and B vitamins that avocados offer. For example, some potato varieties contain solanine, which isn't ideal. But proper storage and cooking techniques significantly reduce this risk. The key takeaway is that most foods contain both nutrients and potentially trace amounts of these anti-nutrients. By following safe food handling practices, we can ensure we're getting a comprehensive intake of essential nutrients while minimising any potential downsides. Speaking of other foods, let's look at some common staples and their potential quirks. Rice, can sometimes harbour aflatoxins, which are nasty fungal toxins. Again, proper storage and rinsing techniques significantly reduce this risk. Similarly, corn can sometimes be contaminated with mycotoxins produced by mould. Rigorous testing and storage practices minimise this concern. Finally, beans contain lectins, a type of protein that can irritate your digestive system if not properly prepared. Soaking and thorough cooking significantly reduce lectin content. Now, back to avocados! They might be considered a bit "overhyped" in some circles, that's true. But there's no harm in including a couple of them in your weekly diet if you enjoy them. Ultimately, the choice is yours! On a lighter note, I must say I enjoyed the rest of the video! You had some excellent points about other foods, and the harms and negatives of vitamin D supplementation definitely need more attention. That's a fascinating topic!
It's the apell they've started spraying in the 🥑 that is a neurotoxin a forever inside your brain cells . Unless u have your own tree and can control your yard. Then that food is healthy .
Thank you Dr Rogers. I agree with the majority here but find it hard to square what you’re saying about nuts / seeds / avocados. I know it’s n=1 but my LDL went from 48 to 66 after the 6 months that I reduced my fat consumption from 25% cals down to 15-20% (by removing 10g walnuts & half an avocado daily, still WFPB). I was expecting my lipids to be more favourable so I’m a little confused. Wondered if you might shed some light for me? Additionally, my testosterone is naturally over 1000 nd/dl with the daily consumption of soy milk + organic tofu / tempeh twice / three times a week so again I’m struggling to wrap my head around your viewpoint. Many thanks

Great vid. That was a pretty brutal attack on soy, but soy's been eaten (at least the natural stuff not sprayed with herbicide) in ancient china for thousands of years where Chinese were traditionally trim and healthy. I don't buy that it's that bad for you, maybe the modern stuff is but if prepared naturally in moderation. Interesting about aluminium in soymilk, we definitely want to cut exposure to aluminium!
They can be healthy despite the soy. It's probably not as much a big deal if the rest of your diet is very low fat high starch. But for the western world with their fat and estrogen overdose i can see it being different. Still, i have limited my soy intake due to dr. Rogers as i believe he's right and understands the biochemistry of it all best (i don't think most doctors look at biochemistry much).
All those creams are fill of oils and fats that interfere with mitochondrial function and sludge microvascular networks in the skin. When you go out in the sun, UV light activates nitric oxide and blood flow opens up but it's impaired by the oils and fats in the creams. I think this causes wrinkles and a higher chance of getting skin cancer. The sun does damage but we evolved with that kind of damage ever present. It's the hypoxia formed from oils and fats that kills off the mitochondria in skin cells and causes cancer. The best business in the world SELL THE POISON WITH THE CURE. You could do a whole video on that subject and it would be epic. I could help you because I have been obsessed with the topic after dad passed
@@PeterRogersMD id love a detailed video on sunscreen alone looking into the research. All over Australia, people are told to lather up their kids in sunscreen and by the time they turn 20-30, they've aged horribly, meanwhile vegan/vegetarian hippies in tropical North Queenland or New Zealand have fantastic skin and dont use the stuff. Have there been any studies directly comparing the skin of animals maybe exposed to high amounts of UV. For the "sell poison with the cure" idea, you have already posted a lot of videos about related topics and John McDougall loved posting irony in medicine as well. They consume cows milk protein powders.... @@PeterRogersMD Thanks for your response, Dr. Rogers. I love your videos. I found different information from different sites. I'm sure that you have different readings. Even if you can find rice that contains only 0.2 grams of fat per 100 calories, this means that you can still consume twice as many calories from potatoes vs rice and still consume the same small amount of fat. Over the span of decades, the comparison that I found online can make a huge difference. We're splitting hairs in the short term but mathematically (at least as far as my stats show) we can eat 4,000 calories of potatoes instead of 1,000 calories of rice and still ingest the same small amount of fat.
