As a processed food vegan, I wasn't eating cookies or chips. I was eating microwave meals with too much fat in them. I have lost almost 35 pounds since switching from Vegan microwave dinners to making my own meals in 4 months.
I've been doing the same. Thank you for giving me a "nudge." I started in February, lost 14 lbs, and started the microwave stuff, hard stop on weight loss. Thank you!!!❤🎉
Great job Wade! I lost 175 lbs with the help of Esselstyn, Campbell, Barnard, Ornish, McDougall ect. Almost five years WFPB! For the animals and the environment!
Hip hip hurray Wade!!!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉 so glad you honored yourself to go the distance!!! I wish my dad was plant based so he could have been healthy to enjoy the life he deserved instead of struggling with his health so much and endingup not being able to retire after his long working hours for the family. My labs were also more point finally with the work ive been doing, except the cholesterol. Thanks for the inspiration to push myself to go further to replace some junkie foods I still reach for.
I love that Wade has chosen to be a wonderful role model of a dad for his child! This is how the cycle of bad health in families gets broken! Congrats Wade! Thank you Esselstyn Family!💕
Amazing changes for you! I'm only 46 and had so much trouble with my heart, pretty sure I had a minor heart attack and saved myself without visiting a Dr thanks to you guys!
I enjoy hearing Wade's pure honesty in telling all to Ann and Jane. The history of his past, not only his, but his family's too. Sometimes going backwards after knowing what he's known as he's been filming and taping all plant-based Esselstyn events. I love the authenticity of his journey, as many more people can relate to his path he was on. Thank you Wade for this interview with Ann and Jane. Watching Ann's and Jane's faces and gestures is always entertaining.
I've seen SO many fun videos where Wade has been offered a taste of whatever's offered and willingly accepted. Nice to see his handsome face at last, and SO glad for his great results.
I ended up in the hospital this past March - as a processed food vegan. The doctors said that they wanted to diagnose me as diabetic (blood sugar 400) and test me for nonalcoholic fatty liver and high blood pressure and they wanted to search for other things and put me on insulin and statins, etc. Well, I switched from processed food vegan to Whole Food Plant-Based and my A1C is already down to 6. A month or two more and that should be normal. I haven't tested my liver enzymes or cholesterol again. But will be doing those soon.
@@mytrueserenity5666there is a ton of vegan junk food out there. I also stopped all processed foods, no dairy, no sugar (trying) no alcohol (also trying).
Congratulations Wade!🥳🥳🥳. I was faced with the choice of starting statins. 5 years ago, my numbers were high and family history was scary! I had to see a cardiologist and he wanted to give me meds, I said, NO! Give me 3 months to make some changes. He looked at me with skepticism but agreed. I made the lifestyle change that day to WFPB. Three months later my numbers and weight were done significantly, my doc was so happy he told me only 10% of his patients do that. He had me come back in 3 more months, numbers and weight were down more and he said goodbye, you don’t need me ! Gave me a hug and a blessing for continued good health! Nothing feels better than taking control of your own health!
WADE you are a rockstar!!!! Congratulations, so happy for you, you look like a million bucks, and you had the very best ever mentors and guides who changed life for all of us! Thanks for coming out from behind the camera to tell your inspiring story. 🎉❤😊😊
I had a similar issue this year. My labs were really high. I knew what to do, in one week I dropped my triglycerides 300 pts and my cholesterol by 25 pts Then I’ve been slacking due to memorial weekend. Didn’t get back on track until Sat ( had an issue pop up again) I know now I can’t cheat at all anymore. I going strong from here on out. Can’t wait to get energy back.
Way to go, Wade!!! I love hearing stories like yours because it keeps me motivated to continue on this journey. I agree with you, Esselstyns, that WHOLE FOOD plant-based is very important. I thought that the prepared foods were probably not good for you, but now I know for sure! So many people tell me that eating vegan and gluten-free are expensive, but it really isn't if you cook from scratch and eat whole foods. They must be buying prepared foods. Keep doing your videos and getting the word out, because prevention is the best medicine! Love your channel!
Wooooo-Hoooooo Wade🎉🎉🎉🎉 This has been the journey for many of us, including me, I’m so grateful to have found WFPB and have been able to stick to it❤️🙏🏽 Thank you for sharing Wade!

I love this video! Thanks for sharing. We hear Wade all the time in the background on your show and I've always wanted to hear more about him. It was lovely to hear some of his story! And thanks Wade for doing all the behind the scenes magic!
Delightful video! Long time subscriber and I have both the cookbooks. I have enjoyed watching Ann and Jane always making sure that Wade gets to taste the food. I remember one episode where Ann insisted he take her plate and portion and she just took a nibble from the plate that Ann and her husband were sharing. And, congratulations Wade. What a testimony to the efficacy of a Plants Only diet.
Awesome! Thank you so much for sharing your story, I am wfpb, and have been for several years. Although my labs improved dramatically too, my diet still was not clean enough. I ate too many semi processed foods like rice cakes and popcorn. Once I decided to really get healthy, I went 80% raw and the change was so dramatic. However I have gut issues and now stay wfpb but with steamed cruciferous vegetables. Thank you again for sharing, it has been a motivational talk for me🤗

I have been plant based for a long time, but my cholesterol has always been high. I find it hard to navigate this way of eating in social situations and people can make you feel like you're being extreme. You are all so inspiring. I am taking a low dose statin but am committed to eating wfpb, watching your videos helps.
This is so awesome! Congratulations to Wade. 🎉 I went through a similar process and dramatic change. But my journey started with the first time I watched Forks Over Knives. I watched it regularly for a few years. Then I had the bad labs 1 1/2 years ago at age 65. My doctor of course proposed statins. Go Wade!! Not that the Esselstyn-family is not already amazingly inspiring, but any real life example of getting your numbers into a healthy range is just fantastic. I recently got bloodwork back with high cholesterol and I am set on transitioning into WFPB now. Definitely do not want to take statins or any other drug for a food/lifestyle related ailment. Also need to drop about 60 pounds, so I am hopeful WFPB will also help me towards that goal. Anyways, go Wade, go Esselstyns!
