I hear the brown snakes on Guam had killed all the natural bird habitat. These snakes were never indigenous to the Island so have no natural predator. Dont forget to look in your toilet before you sit...

Just don't play in the grass, you get little pricklies, at least we did at NAS Agana.
That is "sosha" grass that is pricky when you sit on it but not too bad walking.
We are at McConnell as well & considering signing up for a tour to Guam. Thoughts?
It definitely has its pros and cons. Some people absolutely love it and others hate it and can’t wait to leave. Everything is definitely way more expensive here and harder to find since it’s an island but the weather is amazing and has so many awesome views. If you love outdoorsy things there are so many great hikes and beaches everywhere.

Was the washer/dryer included or did you buy those when you got there?
They were included for on base housing.
What rank are you/your husband? Curious to see in comparison to our family size/rank what kind of housing we'd get
When we got here he was a senior airmen. We were supposed to only get a two bedroom but we had sent out our hhg before they changed the policy that everyone had to live on base. So housing gave us a three bedroom because we had brought so much stuff. Because we had planned to live off base.
Are there dorms to live in out there?

Yes they are included on base. You can bring yours with if that’s what you prefer. We left ours so it didn’t take up so much of our weight.
Why did you have to stay in the hotel for 3weeks? Was it for ROM? or just because there wasn’t a house available?
Verniyah Washington We got here right before covid really shut down everything. We were here for like five days before my husband went into work and then they told him we had to quarantine for two weeks. After we were done quarantining it took a couple days to get into housing just because of the paperwork and everything.
Are you allowed to paint the walls in housing?
Yess you just have to paint them back before you move out.
