I 100% agree with you about the Middle Fork. It is still one of my favorite mid-sized river rods, but it's longest length wears my arm out fast. I'm betting I could guess your exact lakes/creeks you fished! ;) Nice video!
Haha I would double bet you are right! That first obvious lake is so shallow right now I was able to wade halfway across the lake and still have my knees out.

Just using a tapered leader tied directly to the tip?
In tenkara you use a level line not tapered. Using a slipknot you can tie it directly to the lilian :)
