You can freeze bday cake, FYI. It's a fun little treat months away from your birthday. I always try and do it! I cut and wrap any leftover cake into individual slices and stick them in the freezer. I love forgetting about it and then discovering it! Just defrost for a bit before enjoying. :)

For my birthday, I just have an easy day. Typically I take off work, go to a cafe to get a yummy pastry and then hang out at a bookstore for an hour or two. Nothing too crazy.

Everyone needs a change!! I found that when you work outside your home everything looks great when you come home but when a person is home all the time they find ways to change things and have a new feeling by moving things around. ENJOY your new room!! 💖
Delia has definitely become Mother’s little helper. I’ve never understood cats and making the bed or changing the sheets, they become maniacs! L/r change looks good. Amazing how we can feel boosted by simple changes.

I am naturally a very tidy and organised person, but every time I see you’re cleaning in a video, I think to myself I could do more. I also love how you don’t push yourself to get everything done all at once, this has been a huge learning curve for me lately, since last week I was hit by a car and broke my knee, so now I can only stand for five or ten minutes at a time let alone clean and organize how I want.
When i think about birthdays i changed my thinking from getting older to the privilege of getting older. So many never see those milestones. Makes me grateful i guess. Happy birthday darlin!

I don't think I've commented since you've gotten the kitties (who are so large now, and Gordo's fluffy tail is so adorable), but it's been such a joy in a parasocial way to see you put together a small corner of the world that's both raw and honest and homey and full of small wonders. Interior decor is hard and sort of fake but you're doing it; loving things is scary but you're doing it; doing the dishes is a lot but you're doing it. I have absolutely zero dreams of moving to NYC but seeing you there building something is very comforting. Can't wait to see what's next, and thank you for continuing to document the normal parts of life while also challenging yourself as a creator-- the cinematography and editing in this video is really fun.

Happy birthday! I flew down to Florida last weekend to adopt one of the kittens my family was fostering. Her name is Chai and she is a 4 month old tortie. The flight to Chicago was a little rough until I put her on my lap. She was so good on my lap that the flight crew didn't tell me to put her back in her carrier. We lost our dong of 11 years in July of 2023 and it has taken us time to be ready to welcome another animal into our home but we are so in love with her.
I think the feng sui guy on TH-cam might approve of the living room - it feels more cozy as you won't be sitting facing the door with all the energy getting sucked out!!
