We were so blessed as kids to have a family that did such great things together. I have so many wonderful memories of Caledonia and Cowans Gap - swimming, fishing, boating, camping, having picnics, and yes hiking! I have a special place in my heart for that trail too. It is so beautiful and I remember it being one of the first memorable hikes in my life too. 🌲🌲🌲🌳🪴🥾🗻🌄🌲🌲🌲🍁🍃🍂🍀🍂
@@dianemonn6599 So glad you remembered that trail. You are correct we were blessed to go to so many great places. Cowans Gap, Caledonia, Williams Grove, Fantasyland, Hershey, and so many other great spots. I'll never forget. Stay safe and healthy in Florida. 👍🙂🙏🌄
Hi Dave, thank you for sharing your childhood memories. The timing was perfect as i was looking for a place to hike today. The weather could not have been better, no drizzle today. I especially liked that stone foof bridge with the stonework beneath it. Thanks again Dave.
The good ole ramble trail, I hiked that a few years ago and really remember enjoying it, think I added on part of the AT to it as well, now you got me thinking about what my first trail was 🤔🤔 great stuff Dave
that was a great hike, Dave. Childhood memories like that really are wonderful. some of my fondest memories were taking my Daniel Boone toy gun and walking up on the hill to the old cemetery and exploring the old power line right away. Dwayne
Very nice area , I like the old ruins . Any idea what they were ? The vine with blue berries is a Japanese knot weed and invasive species, very thorny. Thanks for taking us along on a great hike MR. Dave.
I believe the ruins were an old waterway to a mill. Thanks for information on that weed. Pretty but very invasive. Keep on adventuring and thanks for watching 👍
Every time I get to nature it feels like a weight lifted. Ramble on. Thank you. Love.
Agree. Healing and replenishing. We love nature❤
