Flesh For Lulu.. I listened to "I Go Crazy" good band.. Hope to see one out there sometime ! Rolling Thunder Revue 1975, excellent, and my friend, Ted just lent me Bootleg Series Vol. 15 w/ Johnny Cash, so I'm getting into this one this week ! Great idea for a tag 😊
"I Go Crazy" is off the first Flesh For Lulu album I owned which came out a couple of years later. It is a good representation of their sound. I still have a couple of Bootleg Series to get but that is a fine on you got from your friend. My favorites are the first one with Volumes 1-3 and Vol. 17 Fragments. I do like a challenging tag.
I like that Little Village album, I saw them live as well. I've heard of Flesh For Lulu but never listened to one of their albums. This looks like a fun tag, I'm going to participate.
That's cool that you got to see Little Village live. Flesh For Lulu have some similarities to Echo & The Bunnymen or Love and Rockets. I have two of their albums. "I Go Crazy" is probably their best known song off another album. I look forward to your tag.
Hey Randy! This is terrific 👍 I had no idea that there are 78 RPM picture discs, so I learned something. Cool Springsteen bootleg with you in the audience. I'd have been more impressed if you got up on stage and danced with Bruce during Dancing in the Dark, but that is asking too much. I have a Flesh for Lulu album. They are not bad. I have never heard that Cat Stevens song. I guess I should now. This is an impressive response. Thanks for doing this!! 👏
Thanks for presenting a challenge, Brian. I actually have several of those Vogue Picture Records. I'm not sure that Bruce would have chosen me for a dance partner. It would probably be someone similar to Courteney Cox if I'm guessing. I have two Flesh for Lulu albums and just played the one I showed that made me think of it. The Cat Stevens song is nothing to write home about but it is the first one that came to mind. I hope you get some more responses.
That was a great response, Randy! I think very few will succeed in this tag...as for the last question, my choice is "Andrew's blues" by the Rolling Stones (Andreas is my name...)
Thanks for watching. I printed off the questions for your contest and will be giving it a go soon. I do like tags and threads that are a little challenging.
I've never heard of Little Village. The longbox CD format was a handsome one I think, I still like the ones I have from that era. Never knew they did any picture discs that long ago, that is beautiful. You are lucky Barry Manilow changed his mind, you could have had years of people singing the chorus of that song to you lol. Nice response, cheers!
Little Village was a one-off with several of my favorite artists in Nick Lowe, John Hiatt and Ry Cooder. They actually toured for the album but when its sales were not substantial, they went back to their solo careers. I actually kept about 25 of those long boxes and are in a storage space that I was able to find. I actually have several of those Vouge Picture Records that came out in the forties. Someone told me that it was actually Brandi that Manilow was thinking about, so I may be remembering it wrong. Thanks Doug.
Good job! i dont know if I can tackle this one. I think Barrys song was originally going to be Brandi but Looking Glass had just put out a song called Brandy so he changed it.
I probably have about 25 long boxes stored away in a storage space. To be honest, it is not a great Cat Stevens album and if I was a purging kind of guy, it would probably be gone. I do like challenging threads.
Ah.."Stardust"..Is that the Hoagy Carmichael song?..Love it I have The CD of Goat's Head Soup.. & The single "Angie".. There's a rap song by Two rappers../ One of th ed m is Young Thug.. ( I forget the other rapper's name../)called " Isa"
It is that Hoagy Carmichael song. I forgot about the box set of Rolling Stones singles I have. I could have used The Stones as well. I don't think I know that rap song. Thanks for watching.
You're about the only person I know who could take part in this. Awesome picture disc!
I'm going to be interested to see if anyone else does it. I actually have several of those forties picture discs. Cheers.

That's a really deep cut choice from The Stones. There is the song "San Andreas Fault" by Natalie Merchant. Cheers.
Great tackle on this! if only i could have been at that bruce springsteen concert in 1984 just missed it by 21+ years!
It was a great concert. In fact, all of his concerts have been fantastic. I like tags and threads that are a little challenging.
Hi Randy! Pretty cool take on this. I had considered trying it out, but I'd have to change about 90% of the questions! Cheers, Darryl.

Those CD long boxes were so unnecessary ha ha... nice waste of cardboard. 😄
I kept them, so mine aren't part of the waste yet. But it was unnecessary.

Thanks for the info on Barry's song. I feel even better now. I did change one prompt and slightly altered another to do the tag.
Good showing!
For my name in a song I think Ed Is Dead by Pixies would be a fine choice.
Thanks. I need to get more by The Pixies as I only have Doolittle.
Hey Randy! How may long boxes do you have? I completely missed that Cat Stevens album, do not remember it at all. You knocked this out quickly!
