Important note: You cannot whiff-cancel your A-button Normals if you chain into the A-button Normal. This prevents certain types of pressure.
Specifically, it's not that using a reverse beat into a whiffed normal gives you your buttons back, but rather that reverse beating into a whiffed normal automatically ends your attack string, and you always get your buttons back if your attack string ends and you start a new one.
5:20 Thanks for the advice, I didn't know that and it totally changes the game for me.
Third Eye Opened!
Personal Notes ✍
-- Use Reverse Beat! Ending with A attacks will have the least disadvantage/most chance to reset!
--Blockstring Ender RPS
Rock = frame traps/specials
Paper = low-risk ender/pressure reset
Scissors = IAD or re-approach
--Once your opponent respects you, add delays! Delays open more ways to position and pressure!
--Don't be predictable!
i love how pressure works in these games man, lovin the vids and this game bro 🥶🙏🙏
That's a good guide! Although I came up with this kind of pressure recently I didn't think about shielding in the gap. Coupled with waiting a bit for reversal shield that becomes a really scary pressure on my newbie level. Also Warc's armored moves
Thanks for the info man, for me how to pressure is always attacking and hope for the best. Im not good at fg to begin with but i loves playing fg
haha as long as your having fun! Im sure you will improve over time
This is super helpful. I've been trying to figure out my defensive options in this game to prevent pressure. Thank you!
Dang your Melty content been so good man, keep it up
Thank bro!
This was an incredible guide. Please keep videos like this coming! Subbed!
Good shit with the videos man. Definitely gonna come back to this when i got a chance to play
This is an amazing guide
My brain feels like it's expanding from learning
OMG this vid is so helpful was i supposed to just know all this?
take it one step at a time!
@@DaikenFGC respect
Thanks for the movement vid it helped a lot with my neutral with Ciel
Glad it helped!
Hey daiken love your vids man keep up the good work.
I start pressure with 4AA if my opponent loves holding up back when I dash at them. It often catches them in the air. I assume this works because Arc's jab has a pretty high hitbox
A friendly reminder that the fgc term for holding jump on block is called "Chicken Blocking"
That's a great fucking vid as always
Also could you do a video explaining how to do akiha's 4-5 combo. I can't connect the 2c after the 22b. That would be very helpful
idk if im gonna really go into character combo specific videos but sadly Akiha is not one of the characters I currently play. I would be more than happy to run through a combo (with given notation) on stream however if you catch me when im live!
@@DaikenFGC alright cool thx. I actually found out a tip and completed it
