BMW did a rework on that model on november 2021. They did not touch the looks or the power, instead they worked on the sound and the chassis. It comes with new available colors and infortainment packages.
Well, it actually is a FWD with part of the torque transferred to the rear wheels, if needed. (Up to 50% of the torque can be sent to the rear. In old BMWs it was the opposite ^^ ) Not a big deal as long as the car has a good handling and a good attitude. The only thing that really make me feel sad is that the sound is amplified by the speakers
BlackPalankaa 0-100 in 5.8 , very disappointing when they quote 4.8 It seems these AWD turbo hot hatches are only hot when you launch them at 4000RPM , simply not practical in real world

I don't understand the argument that you can't compare this to the M140i. Pretty much all new models are compared to their predecessors, in this case it's an M badged car with less performance than the car it replaces.

your 135i is slow. In Germany you create 0-100 in 4.4-4.8 .... do you have the M Performance Package? I don't guess otherwise your exhaust would be black!
I'll take my F20 LCI M Sport 120 with bolt-ons any day over this (owned an E87 before, I always loved the concept of the 1-series, preferred it over other "sporty" hatchbacks I drove, such as the VW Scirocco 2.0 TSI). And the enthusiast model, the M140i was something truly exceptional.. an RWD hatchback with straight-6 turbocharged 3.0 engine with an optional LSD is something we are never going to see again. The new M135i is just generic (2.0 turbo AWD based on FWD platform).. Might as well use the extra money it costs over - for example - an MK7.5 VW Golf R for some modding. There are enough other fast cars in this segment.. Really disappointed. Bye-bye hatchback for people who love driving, and hello generic hatchback with premium badge that will sell good enough to the mass of people that don't care about the actual driving :(
I like the A35 too. But it’s laughably a $100k car. Hilariously poor value compared to Audi S3 (or even similarly priced RS3!) or even performance wise a Golf R

Launch control is the way to do a acceleration test
People don't use launch control at traffic lights in real world. Wish reviews would also show soft start (non launch control) times too
