lmao ever time i see gti video im excited.... until i see the chair grandmom stitching pattern ;DDDDDDD then its like "impotence" feeling , like instantly...
Stock GTI wheels are typically heavy. Installing lightweight wheels makes a noticeable difference in overall performance. I know from experience on my MK7 GTI. Plus those aftermarket wheels look great IMO
@@cyclistman6358 While I agree the new wheels do look great, I've always been a fan of the OEM GTI wheels in most generations, most of all the mk5. I personally feel the extra weight is worth it for the style points!
Hey my man. I love my VDubs I have a few and there a lot of fun. Great choice. Hears some info for fun. So the KO4 swap is probably tuned by APR if so look in the glove box for some paperwork. If you call APR and give them the Vin number they can tell you when it was tuned. What type of tune was put on the car and where it was done at, It usually comes with 3 different tunes Stock, 94 octane, and 104 octane AKA race fuel. This you can switch through the cruise control. The 104 octane. Will bump it from 385hp to over 410hp. You can also add 4-motion to it also known as Audi Quadra drive you can get a Hallex rear wheel drive out of the B6 Passat. Take out the spare wheel well and it bolts right in you have to add a limited slip differential . They also make a Holdax converter that allows you to adjust the power from front wheels to rear wheels. So instead of having a 60-40 split ratio, you can have a 50-50 split ratio. When you launch the car, it’ll be all grab and go. With no spinning. You can also add a lot more power by doing simple upgrades. I recommend boost pipes, upper and lower turbo muffler delete a larger fuel pump and new high tension valve springs. Just those upgrades alone on the 93 octane tune you’ll be to 400 hp. If you’re gonna switch modes a lot, you get APR‘s dongle which can switch on the fly. If you really get into this car, you can build really high horsepower. I’ve seen some guys get 600 to the wheel. You’ll want to pick up a VAGCOM Cable from ECS tuning and use your laptop. It’ll help you to get into computer. On the car for diagnostics, trouble codes, and also other modifications. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out. I love the car.
simply amazing :) the mods, parts time and effort really did wonders for this car, now yo have a great looking, fun, comfortable and practical daily driver
My very first car was a used 2011 mk6 golf with the N/A 5 cyl in the exact same red as your GTI. Even though it had its flaws I loved that car, and I really miss it. But my dream since owning that car is a mk6 R or GTI. You did an Awesome job on yours brother. I probably would mod mine almost exactly as you. I love the OEM+ look. Nothing too crazy but still stands out😍😍😍
Excellent work...personally i would refurb the stock wheels add spacers and put them back. HnR springs sits absolutely perfect. Also, off wheel detail is needed
Damn bro…. Where you’ve been and where you are now….. loved em from the beginning…. ❤Nice one with the Check engine light though 😂 Keep up the good work and keep em coming…. Good Luck bro… ❤
a RUNNING ko4 GTI for $3,500?!?!? Even with the defects you said that’s still at least a 6,500 car 🤯 good find bro! Love seeing these especially me being a VW fan with a mk7.5 Golf R and a mk4 20th anniversary GTI
$3500 is a good price for that. Fully running and driving with the K04 and the needed bolt ons. There is absolutely a GTI tax today. It looks awesome and I love the rims choice
Wheels go hard bro. Getting that vw itch again after owning 3 of them. Not sure what route I'm going yet either the jetta gli or gti. Or the golf r. Time will tell.
Hey there, I'm new here to the GTI community (new to me '14 mk6 GTI with over 100k miles) - Out of curiosity, I saw you guys help transform cars for subscribers in need, are you still doing promotional stuff like that? If not, anyone you can recommend in the Southeastern US to take my car to (mainly because still poor and dealerships make my wallet cry) -->Maybe worth noting: I'm concerned about fixing/replacing engine parts that need TLC before doing cosmetic mods so I'm not even trying to waste anyone's time, just trying not to get taken for a ride by dealership shops because I love my car but I also like making rent on time :D Congrats on your dream car - it's beautiful!! Love the video and looking forward to deep diving into your videos!
hey man, love your vids 🤩🤩 i got this 1993 toyota corolla and it would be fun to see a video on how to modify it on a budget cause it desperately needs some upgrades 😅😂
Just beautiful. Sad that not only that model doesn't exist here in Brazil, the ones that do exist are like buying a hellcat for you guys. Not for the normal working man to have. (Cars are insanely expensive in Brazil.)
The gap in the middle of the front lip would make me insane. Also the glossy rear diffuser looks patently aftermarket when glossy. Would look better matte Nice transformation otherwise.

Always loved the original GTI rims they have such an iconic look but overall great looking makeover
Nice build! I love the choice of car. I personally would have kept the OEM GTI wheels, but the ones you chose were still clean!
Fair enough! And thank you :)

I had Detroit's on my "12 GTi as well. I hated them when I bought the car but they actually grew on me over time.

Such tasteful mods ! Love it ! Iv had 2 mark 3 jettas 1.8t and 2.slow! Lol and a mark 2 passat vr6. Such fun cars !!! Mine were all stick shift.
happy to see you doing adds and have sponsors on the projects!
I love that car man, you must be so proud. My *favorite* part is the wheels! Congrats on the ride.

The video is in another level!! 💪🏻👏🏻
Thank you!!
Love how this came out! We gotta line it up on 37 someday and run it
Those aftermarket’s wheels would fit my S4 so nice, seen a few people rock em and I love them
Love, love, love it... I have a MK6 GTI as well, just haven't had the funds to fix it up the way I want to.
The headlights and rims are the gamechangers. once they went on. It was a demon.
Nice. I like the aftermarket rims so much better than the OEM. Clean ride.
That GTI is looking mean! Really loved how it turned out.

I really liked those default wheels.
The check engine light fart at the end 😂

Do you walk around saying “veeee duuub” like those old peter stormare commercials now that you own this?
Def not 😂😂👀
Just beautiful.

Nice build!
are they reliable/worth putting money into at 160k miles?
Where did you find the headlights at? I've been searching for them, but I only find the VLAND ones with the 2 square Leds.
what springs are those? Ride height looks perfect
What are those headlights? I'm looking to get some new ones for my MK6 and I really like those
this is my favorite car youve owned but, seems like your cars keep going down in value
Trying to stick to the budget route! Not keep scaling up until it's unrealistic for viewers.
@@SmplBuilds for sure this thang is a lot of car for the money, I drive daily a mk4 golf it’s fun to drive
RIP to this beauty man. Glad you are okay 🙏🏼
Makes me want a mk6 GTI 😮
It wants to be a mk7 so bad 😂 looks good 👍🏼
Hahaha. Thanks!
We need part 2 interior build

Watching this makes me appreciate mine not much more I need to get it to this status
Could you drop link to that spoiler please?
Are you guys located In Jersey ? Or you just got the car from there
that volkswagen golf mk6 is impressive
In my opinion mk6 golf is the most beautiful from all. But then again it's my opinion.
I personally rather the OEM mk6 led headlights, but it requires some work to install
The check engine light edit hahahaah
can you send me the link to those headlights, great build!!
Do you still have the bimmer?
Love your channel
Rip GTI, a person's life is more important
Beautiful 🚗🚗🚗🚗
Is this seths old car? Might’ve come from Jackson/lakewood area, looks very familiar to me
Only thing i wouldve kept is the original wheels. My fav wheel oat
where did you buy the diffuser?
You skipped past the important parts of the video didn't you? 😂
Niceee car, but the check engine part might be a pain in the ass
I can relate with the check engine lol
When does the next giveaway end?
Deadline coming soon!
thats a lot of car for 3500 !! Proper steal
Does anyone know where the headlights are from?
🔥🔥
i lost count on "super stoke" 😂😂😂
All that's left is a manual swap!!!
That's cool
I like the original wheels on it better.
Do not give the car away, keep it
are you going to manual swap?
No lol
Well, nice job, brother God bless
The rims look like srt 4 neon rims
The gap in the middle of the front lip would make me insane.
Also the glossy rear diffuser looks patently aftermarket when glossy.
Would look better matte
Nice transformation otherwise.
I wish I had a budget of companies giving me half of the stuff for free. 🙄
Original wheels looked way better
