Pleeeeeeeeeease, tbf there are definitely a decent amount of festivals with DnB atleast that ive been too, BUT they lack variety and its always just the same 10 artists on every lineup
@@qbikmusik Well ya, but its really only west coast festivals that book DnB, and thats still a new trend. LiB booked its first DnB artist (Calyx in Teebee) like 3 years ago. Most "bass music" festivals in the US go out of their way not to book DnB. Just look at festivals like North Coast or Ubbi Dubbi. Like fuck any festival that markets itself as bass music, but won't give me slapping DnB. This is why Shambhala is 10x better than any US bass music festival.
@@lucidtrips8822 True, i guess im speaking from west coast experience. Only one in the east that actually books some sollid DNB is Lost Lands. Good thing i live only like 3 hours from Shamb, definitely going again in 2022
31:35 I'm a casual listener and let me tell you it took me quite some to time to really appreciate the amount of thought it was put in that ep. I thought the mixing and drums where great (as always from noisia) but it felt way, way too different from the "normal" stuff you normally listen. like you said, there where new elements every few bars, which fel random. now though it has become one of my favorites
I also have to mention how much emotion this ep has. it's one of the very few bass tracks that made me cry. long intros and outros really help with the atmosphere. even the tracklist suggest a story - like a person died, went to heaven and then was resurrected without releasing untill the very end. nik said it was inspired by personal event and it really shows. I could talk for days about the ep, it's beyond outstanding
So they can shaft him by putting him on some small as niche stage during Excisions set that no one will go to? Lets be real, thats pretty much what they have done to the 4 DnB artists they have ever booked. That being said, they were good acts that they did book
@@BaronUnderbite yeah that was unfortunately the case :/ they were good acts tho, i would assume that Niks management wouldnt allow that since hes so connected but you never know
Lol I was gonna recommend a Sleepnet tune for the next deep dive, but I guess I'll have to come up with something else now. But yeah, this project is out of this world, as expected from the man himself.
Lol the gurgling sounds in hindsight sound like either frog croaks or digital diarrhea lol. Still amazing hahah my mind was just as blown as yours guys were

Thank you both for introducing this to me. This ep was such an awesome experience.
Glad we could :)
i had the same reactions! ABSOLUTELY insane ep...love this review, phonons dancing is unmatched.
Ayeeee your tutorials helped get me into producing, glad you enjoyed this 😋
yall's reaction to the title track was same as mine. blown the absolute fuck away. the use of SPACE and tension in the track is special.
Such a incredible experience
i love that you guys went crazy the whole time lol
Hahahah had too 😁
I'm glad I went through the same awakening Phonon did with this album
you should make more reviews with phonon. he seemed like a really cool dude. I loνed how he analyzed the tunes
Also heavily anticipate Martins solo debut. He always brought it the hardest whenever i saw Noisia do DJ sets
Oh shiiiit me tooo
from a production standpoint this ep was actually flawless, ideas were so fucking forwardthinking as well
💯
I normally don't watch reviews but I had to see phonon's reaction to this EP. This EP is sick!
hahaha thanks for watching!

We need more electronic music reviewers like you bro, I’m still counting the Days Unitill Drum N Bass Take over ;)
Void song is so dark is summoned a ghost that crosses behind (under arm) QB!K Left to right at 16:50 :D :O
Saw Noisia play void song at their last ever UK show at Boomtown the other week, it was a heavy hitting banger live in a emotional set
Aww luckyyy
