I can’t imagine the nightmare this was to reproduce in one-take, analog format
I’m not familiar with this group, but it’s very likely they made a studio version completely chopped up and mixed, and then recorded a video of them playing live. Still not easy, but different.
The actual song is simple to play the timing is also easy for a well put together band.
I pray Mr Mau5 sees this. What an amazing job you guys did. One of my favourite songs

Technically virtually impossible to reproduce, semi-acoustically. Yet they did. This performance deserves SO much exposure. Truely inspiring in every sense imaginable. DeadMau5 agrees, I'm sure.

It's just very simple music. Nothing technically impossible about it at all. They did a great job, but there is nothing hard about this kind of music even though I totally love it.

@@sandernightingalenothing simple about this track. 16 bar melody/harmony- haunting bass and synth layered in. 2 tempos in the same track- it’s actually quite complicated, even if produced on a digital workstation. Then there is this live production of the electronic track. This drummer is a beast- and to reproduce the Deadmau5 sound live is a feat in and of itself. Very impressive original track, IMO even more impressive done live by these guys. Well done!
I’m from 1979 and this song is a Masterpiece of our generation. I’m glad there is a lot of different kind of people who really understood that as should be.

Just seen this for the first time and it literally gave me goosebumps. Absolutely incredible.
The arpeggio melody by deadmau5 (aka Joel Zimmerman) is honestly his best work imo. The melody is entirely melodic, static and "predictable", yet constantly overflows into a potential polyrhythm.
I do not think deadmau5 can create a better song than this. I hope he proves me wrong.

This is outstanding! It has this little Caribbean flavor to it that just blends together so smoothly! Also have to give credit to the person filming it. They way the camera pans around they way it does definitely adds to the experience 😀
I sort of heard a bit of that Brazil kinda drums mode(with a sort of salsa fill mode), yet yeah: combined with percussion it definitely has the carribbean vibe goin on somehow.
Music is a bit like a language, yet leans more towards mathematics(and decentralized history); rather than quantified linguistics.
Perhaps a bit of Carnival going on lol? New Orleans, Lousianna; via Brazil, many other places and the carribbean?
