Hitting the frontal lobe is easy to kill someone, specially someone as young. The bone in that side of the head is very weak, that's why people die so easily in car accidents. That's why airbags are a thing. If you the parietal lobe or occipital, that's different, there the bone is harder.
It's completely plausible to kill someone with a hard object if you hit them right there where Marlon did. As I said, particularly a kid.
Also I think I saw people turning in a few minutes in the show at some point in similar circumstances, but I can't point exactly when, it's so many years. I may be wrong.
Marlon is not a bad kid, he is just a bad leader. His coping style (is it said like that in english?) is evitative. Those are the worst leaders because a good leader needs to be able to face the challenges sharing information with the rest and using their feedback to get the best possible solution.
Marlon just runs and hide. I honestly think he was a nice and good kid. In common terms... he was just a coward.

Amazing play, I loved the reaction when Marlon died. I felt so frustrated too, like, I liked Marlon despite his problems, I thought he should have had a chance, he faced situations most adults nowadays never have to face, and we can be glad because I think most people would end up doing worse than Marlon in his place.
Same, I would have loved to see his evolution through the rest of the season, having to come to terms and make up for his choices. I can't even really blame him that much for what he did (other than killing Brodie, that was obviously wrong) but letting the raiders take the girls in order to save the rest of his group, he really thought he was doing something good, and resisting might have gotten everyone else killed or taken so..... hrmmm...

Okay, S4E1 is one of my favorite episodes of The Walking Dead! They just did everything right to set up the final part of the story. I remember how excited I was when it was released and then I had to wait for a month to play the next episode... Then happened the whole drama with the studio closure and the cancellation of the rest of the season. That was so sad and it's great we still got to see the game finished. It holds a speacial place in my heart because of how emotionally invested I got with it.
I don't know much about the drama behind the development of the game, I just knew that this studio had eventually closed, which is a shame! I have tried leaving a few months between my playthroughs of the seasons to kind of mimic the waiting that players had to do when they initially played the game!
I get that in the heat of the situation is hard to make a choice but I think appealing to Louis was a mistake. Louis is his best friend, it would be harder for him to change his mind and defend you instead. Also, the twins were Violet close friend and girlfriend, and you got closer to VIolet during your playthrough. I was puzzled by your choice of appealing to Louis. I think you were trying to get the best influence over Marlon but that's an aggressive way to understand the situation, specially when you are the foreigner here and the leader is pointing you with a gun. A defensive stance would have been more approachable, in my opinion.
Not that it really matters, mind you. I love these games but... let's be honest, the choice matter mostly in appearances.
Yeah I can see that. I was taking a gamble honestly, I thought because they were friends, that Louis might have more influence on him, and Louis really seemed to like Clem so I figured he would try and defend me. Didn't turn out too bad in the end (well it didn't matter much really but yknow lol)
