      Supposedly they are the "Independent" Office of Police Conduct but while they are institutionally independent such "Quangos" are ideologically in lock-step. When they are given this quasi-autonomous status from the government they are extremely vulnerable to being stacked with ideologues where the government power is only useful at purging non-believers but is never accountable to the electorate by any tenuous chain of accountability.

      She can reflect all she wants, but lets be honest it will only be a short talking to and a "don't do it again good girl" type of talk. This officer is wholly un-suited for the job if she resorts to "hurty feelings" at the first opportunity and a major effort on giving 'side eye' to the nasty child who said 'hurty words' too her.

      @bravo2966 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +31

      She's not unstable, she's absolutely batshit crazy. This woman having the power of arrest over people is a very scary prospect. The hope was anyone not corrupt would find that in this investigation, but no, they had to 'cover the back' of one of their own instead.
      The investigators need investigating but this time properly.

      I saw that Video, and I dont believe that it has full context and to BBB that will matter... He has covered that video as well, and that was one of his biggest concerns... It lacked context, It was unclear what had started that police involvement... It only shows what happened WHEN police decided to deploy Pepper Spray where someone innocent who did not appear to be involved in anything going on got "Hit by the gas"
      Something I have learned very well since Video Phones became so prevalent - Its easy to make anything look the way you want it to when you only record what you need to see.... Similar case in the United States, where an Off Duty Officer went Viral Pulling his Gin on some Black Youths who were harassing him... Looked Damming, that is until one of the group of youths also uploaded his Phone Footage that was taken from BEHIND teh Officer and showed that someone was coming up behind him to accost him from behind!
      Just one Phone Video does not give a full picture... It only shows what someone wants you to see... So I am with BBB that without full context, That video is worthless!

As I dragged myself along they filmed me on at least one private phone and laughed. I exhibited no danger as am a short middle-aged woman whose muscles and joints don't work properly who has no arrests or whatever else makes you a criminal. I begged and they kept laughing. Not one of those bastards was disciplined. As part of my complaint I offered to help with education and how to improve things so this didn't happen to anyone else. Policing by consent was introduced with an unarmed force in an armed society. Police were needed to request assistance from members of the general public if they needed armed support.
      This was strictly by design, as it meant the force would have no choice but to act in such a way as to maintain the public trust in order to have any enforcement power. Despite being the most fundamental aspect of policing, Policing by consent is dead and gone.
      In fact, not one of Peel's 9 principles of policing has been upheld, they have no legitimacy, and if Sir Robert could see us now, the spinning in his grave would power the greater London area.

      2. Maybe she's loathed an hated by them for some other reason or these same behaviours demonstrated not just to the public but also other officers, so they just let her get on with it in hopes she'll get herself sacked so they don't have to put up with her anymore.
