It so obviously is. If there was any conspiracy at work, they would surely have a plausible cover story. This is just muppetry by v young, very inexperienced, badly led police staff who are way out of their depth.
It is complete bullshit that those two officers didn't know what was going on. Surely they would have had a briefing about the event they were protecting, what it was about, the possible response to the event, and who by. I bet they are all told to plead ignorance and neutrality if confronted or questioned by a member of the public. If the Police are lying and misleading (or intimidating and threatening members of the public with arrest/prosecution to keep them quiet), for fear of the response from a particular group, then it is proof that the group in question is a HUGE problem in the country.
As an ex member of the Met, I absolutely despair at the moronic stupidity of an organisation that is no longer fit for purpose. The total lack of decent leadership is astounding.
Okay member of the MET lol. Answer 1 question. Is it a crime to go to the funeral of your own child if they was a terrorist and mourn them? Or are you calling that support for a terror organisation too. Because its the exact same thing. A religious vigil is normally held at night but not entirely. However it’s common for people to enact a vigil over the death of someone during daylight hours too.
To me this represents an abject failure of leadership of the MET! The fact that these officers do not know the basic politics/sensitivities/law with regards to a very controversial meeting that they are responsible for policing is unforgivable! Having served in Northern Ireland we were constantly briefed with the political nuance of a particular march/protest/demonstration for very obvious reasons. Why is the MET not doing the same for all of its officers?

it used to, by the tennants and statutes that govern their position they are supposed to understand all laws in all forms. here is an act of gross misconduct
Indeed it should. Indeed so. I also always believed it to be a legal principle that a person who is unaware of a law may not escape liability for violating that law merely by being unaware of its content. The level of ignorance of the law amongst those who are paid to uphold should be a source of great concern. The probable truth here is that these officers, however ignorant they may be (and these two came across as probably being ignorant of many things), were ordered on this occasion, not to enforce the law in question.
It's why the bible says that "leaders" will be held to a "higher standard" at the "judgement seat". They will have no excuse when they are on their knees in front of the One True Living God.
One has to have a level of education, general knowledge and basic common sense to be a policeman. These officers have none of the above and should either not have been employed or given proper training. They’re not enforcing the law, truly frightening. Thanks for posting.
Thank you very much for the clarification you have provided, you obviously have a much better understanding of the Law than the police do. Please keep up the good work!
Ignorance of the law is no excuse. Granted the fault lies with the senior Police who did not brief them, but If these officers were citizens they could have been prosecuted. Lets face the truth, If it had been a so called "Far Right Rally" you can be damn sure those officers would have been remarkably well informed.
People get the policing that they deserve. As a nation, Britain has not backed police. It has stood by over the last 15-20 years, policing has been degraded away. People continue to consume anti-police media (almost all of the media) and do not make any demands on local or national politicians nor media for the last decades. People stood by and allowed police powers to be rolled back and police to be labelled racists as an entire group. People did nothing when public order policing was scaled back to an almost entirely passive role. When the 2012 riots happened, no-one questioned why they occurred and was policed as they were. People were happy to simply call the police "useless" and carry on. There is no other group in the country that works under the threat from both within and without that police do. In no other career field (except the armed forces) do you give up all your employment rights, legal rights and human rights. In no other career field is there the expectation that you will be subjected to daily criminal threat - but also threatened with criminal sanction for doing your job exactly as you were trained to do.
It would do the Gestapo well to remember that as 'certain people' at the Nuremberg trials found out 'just following orders' like a clueless automaton was no defense.
I'm not suprised this has happened last time it was a nazi flag. As long as the grouping is leftist they are immune to criticism and wholly protected by the police.
As an ex-police officer They’re unbelievable They should know the law. No excuses. That’s the quality of persons being recruited these last 10 years or so.
This religious/terrorist/freedom/lsl*mofas**st fighter and nutter was DEAD. Corpses can't be members of anything. So "performing a vigil for the late Mr X" cannot be understood to be supporting the organisation of which he was a member ... before he was killed. Mr "Black Belt" perhaps needs a little schooling in certain aspects of the law himself. Jus sayin.
You missed the point where they stated that they are not allowed to have opinions. To me, that is most concerning. It is one thing to say that your opinions cannot affect the way you carry out your official duties, but to say that you are not allowed to have opinions is frightening.
Because being a police officer is about know the right skin tones your allowed to arrest now rather that actually policing without fear or favour they are scared to have their families targeted because that’s what these savages do and because we are civilised they know we wouldn’t so we now live in a world of white ain’t right
The ignorance starts at the top, Jihad we are told by the top cop, is just a call for a spiritual journey. Only Islam could do describe the barbaric slaughter of Jews.
Ironically, the Police were correct in denying that "most people think Hezbollah is a terrorist group", and since we live in a democracy where apparently the power to rule only exists via consent - the police did the right thing in on infringing upon the Freedom of Speech of the activists

Well ignorance is NOT a factor when these 2 robots where given ORDERS from their superiors whom OBVIOUSLY knew THEY (the superiors) were sending support but the LAW is 2 sided. It may well be 'The Law' but it's only applied to the citizens and NOT to the gestapo serving the agenda of their masters and the corrupt judges that specifically get appointed to allow unlawfulness to happen.
The 2 coppers sounded completely clueless. This is the fault of senior officers , the coppers on the ground should have been given a brief of what’s going on.
As a waiter we would spend 20 minutes before events for briefing on a number of things we should know for said event.

Mourning a person, is not support of a terror organisation you fool, that fact you don't know that is alarming. Please resign.
@hiyorisarugaki1830 No its not- this was not a family funeral. Stop using fallacious arguments to try and justify a terrorist vigil.
@@TheInsida1 Vigil is when people stay up at night. Since this event happened in day light, it means you don't know what you're talking about.

Also what is fallacious in what is said? do you actually understand the words you are using?
A religious vigil is normally held at night but not entirely. However it’s common for people to enact a vigil over the death of someone during daylight hours too.
To me this represents an abject failure of leadership of the MET! The fact that these officers do not know the basic politics/sensitivities/law with regards to a very controversial meeting that they are responsible for policing is unforgivable! Having served in Northern Ireland we were constantly briefed with the political nuance of a particular march/protest/demonstration for very obvious reasons. Why is the MET not doing the same for all of its officers?
You answered it in the first sentence Doug: abject failure in leadership! 👍
Tks for yr service Sir. You would think since they are 1st responders so-to-speak that they would not be briefed ?after education. Why are they not responding to this as it is a terrorist organization? There needs to be a very deep dive into this mess.

There is an old saying, "Ignorance is no excuse for the law!" It should apply to police officers doubly.
it used to, by the tennants and statutes that govern their position they are supposed to understand all laws in all forms. here is an act of gross misconduct
No. The old saying is "ignorance of the law is no excuse".
And the word is "tenets", not "tennants". Two completely different nouns.
@@dizwell It's also a very dumb saying. The law changes daily and none of these changes are published anywhere your average Joe would ever find it.

We deserve everything we tolerate.

As a serving officer…this blows my mind…but then the quality of current recruiting supports this outcome!
I'm not suprised this has happened last time it was a nazi flag. As long as the grouping is leftist they are immune to criticism and wholly protected by the police.

Political Policing - it's very simple....!
There are many people in prison when at trial were told ignorance is no excuse for breaking the law then frond guilty and sentenced.
You missed the point where they stated that they are not allowed to have opinions. To me, that is most concerning. It is one thing to say that your opinions cannot affect the way you carry out your official duties, but to say that you are not allowed to have opinions is frightening.
These people are utterly vacuous. Why do they wear that uniform?
UTube will not allow my reply...sry.
