Can’t get enough he is one of the few out there😉
The more Flagler the better
Tim was fantastic
Tim has it all, the voice, skills, knowledge, sense of humor and pedagogy…👏👏👏.
Agreed!
Love how much admiration Brian has for Tim.
He certainly does! Tim is an amazing guy as well as an amazing teacher.
I have learned a ton from Tim over the years, always a joy to see him tie.
Thanks for watching.
Cannot get enough of Tim Flagler.
Great guy and great instructor. Thanks for watching.
Brian, thanks so much for putting up this video. Tim is simply amazing and watching his tutorials not only helped me learn to tie but also helped me become a better fly tier. He is such a great teacher. I appreciate y’all!
Thanks so much for watching.
I love fishing Landon's pine squirrel leech and now I know how to tie a pine squirrel bugger. Can't wait to fish it.
Thanks for watching.
Probably the best quick tying tips that I have ever seen. Worth a second watch.
Thanks for being here!
Tim is amazing, thanks for sharing him with more people! Tim should be in the fly fishing Hall of Fame. He is quickly becoming the best fly tying resource available!
We agree, agree and agree! Thanks for being here.
Always want more Tim
Stay tuned!
Absolutely, it’s always a pleasure watching and learning from Mr Flagler, one of the best, thank you
Thanks for being here.
Another tip for the end there, instead of the bodkin, I use the short waste pieces of hackles off the bench or floor to push through the eye of the hook (push in from top and pull through the bottom). The vanes do a great job of soaking up and pulling off any head cement from the eye.
Thanks for watching.
Tim is so knowledgeable. Please more videos with Tim. Mad River outfitters has one of the best fly fishing channels on TH-cam.
Thanks for watching and please stay tuned.
Nice to finally meet the legend!
Thanks for watching.
It's a much-appreciated session down under in NZ. Thanks!.
Thanks for watching.
Makes such an interesting session with such a simple process. I would enjoy seeing more like this. I am a tyer who had learned by TH-cam and Orvis' fly tying school. I don't really get to tie with others.
Thanks for being here.
Mr. Flagler is the BEST. I learn something almost every time I watch one of his videos.
We agree!
Much of this is his presentation he makes to group. Lots of great stuff! Got to see him last month.
Thanks for watching.
I’ve been watching for years. He literally taught me to tie. Excellent teacher!
He certainly is. Thanks for watching.
Brian, thank you for sharing this video. What an incredible production. As a new fly tyer this information is absolutely priceless. Would love to see more of these. Thank you and God bless. You and Tim are a wonderful blessing.
Thanks for being here and please stay tuned.
Great video! He’s the best teacher there is in my opinion. I’ve been learning from him for 6 years and see no end in sight. I’ve also learned an unbelievable amount from Brian and the MRO crew. Thank you all very much..Have a great week! 👍👍🪶🎣👌
Thanks so much for watching.
I’m fairly new to fly tying,
this was so very useful thank you Tim and Brian.

Great session, thank you both.

After years of becoming familiar with his voice and hands, it's nice to add a face and personality to the package! And the tips, of course, are invaluable. Thanks so much to you both for doing this!
Thanks for being here.
Really enjoyed this one!!! Great tips and easy to understand. Thanks!
Thanks so much for watching.
Brian thanks for having Tim on your site.
It was our pleasure. He also did an event in the shop which was fantastic.
Tim is amazing! Always love seeing him. LEGEND!
He truly is!
Thank you for sharing your knowledge and expertise. Some great tips. Tight lines from the UK.
Appreciate you being here.
Thanks! Great tips. Loved the shoutout to Davy McPhail, another master tier.
Thanks for being here.
Big thanks to both of you for sharing these very helpful tips. Always enjoy watching the videos that you both put out and appreciate you sharing your experience with all of us. Please keep more of these coming!
Thanks for being here and please stay tuned.
Tons of good tips. Thanks for sharing! Tim is awesome. I can't even begin to count how many of his videos I've watched and I still learned a lot from this one.
Thanks for being here. He has a lot to share!
That "Davey" tip with the cobbler's wax is MAJOR if you are interested in tying smaller, more compact heads. I know even the non-professional tyer wants to have professional looking heads on his flies. Takes a couple of extra seconds and makes a world of difference. Thanks.
Thanks for being here.
Always a pleasure and Thank You Both for sharing. My grandchildren and I have watched Tim's tutorials over and over as they learn as I have learned.... watch, pause, backup, pause and tie along with a master. This tutorial is an instructional masterpiece and the fly Tim demos is one of my favorite smallmouth flies... usually tied with medium bead chain eyes. Take Care
Thanks so much for being here and please stay tuned.
That was one of the most informative video's on tying tips I've ever seen, fantastic demonstration and great explanation, regards from Wales, UK.
Appreciate you being here.
TIM'S THE BEST!!! And those are the prettiest hands in ALL of fly tying!!! I've seen them in person, so I know! 🤣👍
Thanks for watching.
AWESOME video! I would definitely love to see more of Tim! (and Brian too!)
Stay tuned!
Excellent video Tim's videos basically taught me how to tie fly's and jigs Thanks Again.
Thanks for watching.
Thanks Tim and Brian. Great tips!
Thanks for being here.
Great lesson! Thanks!
Thanks for watching.
Yes I would like to see more of Tim. Now for the important question, are you going to stock that wax in your store. Please! Keep the good stuff coming guys
Thanks for watching. Please send any and all questions directly over to the shop and they will be happy to help. You can e-mail them or call them.
I’ve been following you for a while. I’ve been fly fishing for at least 50 years however I have never watched any of your videos without learning something.
That's great to hear! Thanks for watching.
Thank you so much! Great tips!
Thanks for watching.
Found him a while back and love his channel
Thanks for watching. We do as well.
Super helpful tips--Thank you!
Thanks for being here.
I love Tim's video and use them as reference for many of the flies I tie. Glad to see him with Brian. (I've watched him tie with Tom Rosenbauer and the videos are bit long.)
Thanks for watching.
Loved the video. Bye the way, Davie waxes his thread before he ties it on the hook, several times during the tying process (fly dependant) and always when tying off. He is a master of his craft. Cheers (from the U.K.)
Thanks for watching.
This is gonna help a ton!!! Super glad I watched this video. Tight line video taught me how to tie a clouser and that was the first fly i tied. The tying wax will help a ton, I’m getting better at it but I always make a thread cliff and it screws me off 😂
Thanks for watching.
Great video, not too often you see Brian looking in awe. You should get together with Davie, Lynsey, Tom and Tim to demonstrate the flies used in each country-UK and USA, this would make a great show. Thanks Tim for the tips mate. Ray
Thanks for watching and will pass along!
I always learn from Tim!
We do too! Thanks for watching.
Excellent work
Much appreciated. Thanks for being here.
Wow Brian you had a legend on her tonight!
Thanks for watching.

Great
Video! More,more,more!

Thank you for this video
Thanks for watching.
Fun to watch! Nice
Thanks for being here.
Great lesson video 😊
Appreciate you watching.
I put a thin coat of Sally Hansen on the thread on the shank prior to wrapping the peacock, “ gluing “ it to the body! Another way to make a robust body that will last!
Thanks for sharing and thanks for watching.
THANKS
Thanks for being here.
I enjoy Tim so much thank you for having him with you Brian and the crew. And Tim, don’t forget the tip about glue bottles. Putting some wax on the threads. I have never had a problem with that again 😉
Thanks for watching.
Great video. I always learn from BOTH of you!! Give Starbond CA glue a try.
Thanks for watching and for the tip! Stay tuned.
Great! Thnx
Thanks for being here.
Tims videos are the best. Wonder if you can use surf wax if I cant find cobblers wax? MRO rules !!
Thanks for watching. You can find plenty of wax at www.madriveroutfitters.com.
Brian, top video !
Thanks for watching.
More Tim please
Filming with him next week! Stay tuned.
Awesome!!
Thanks!
Casually blowing my mind😂
Thanks for being here.
Introducing faces to well known voices............often never fits a predetermined vision of what the person behind the voice look's like. I could not wait for Tim to say his first words, so I could experience the connection. Sharing his knowledge and tips of fly tying..........thank you.
Thanks for watching.
I like to pull a piece of discarded peacock hurl through the eye of my hook to clean it up if I think maybe I got some lacquer in mine. They really mop it up great!
Thanks for watching!
Most tackle shops sell o rings for wacky rigs that would work for that as well
Thanks for watching.
Hi from Rolla MO 🎣🤠.
I cut a piece of tygon tube to put over the one
To protect the ceramic &hold the thread.
Only tip you missed out was to never eat yellow snow. 😊
This is the key takeaway!
Great video. Those head cement bottles always clog up. Probably my fault to be honest, but is there abway to actually get them unclogged and clean?
Yes! Call or e-mail the folks at the shop and they can help you out!!
is Veniards better than regular tying wax?
Please send your questions directly to the folks at the shop and they will be happy to help. You can e-mail them or call them. Sorry but we don't have that intel here but they will. Thanks.
Would LOVE if you two came out to the PNW and did a clinic...or two....or three.... haha
Stay tuned!
Well done. He is such an excellent teacher.
Hmmm - Tim’s reference to an “ Alfalfa part” - I know it’s way too old for millennials but now I’m wondering if he’s part of my baby boom generation. ;-)
Thanks for watching.
👍👍👍
👍
Vineyard's wax..........how would bees wax compare as a substitute? Assuming that is the wax inside a chap stick type dispenser, sold specifically for applying on thread prior to finger twisting dubbing? Most everyone would have dubbing wax, and are likely curious as I as to it's effectiveness when dealing with flies tied having a head damn, or ramp, of materials to be wrapped.
Pretty much any fly tying wax will work.....www.madriveroutfitters.com/p-3162-dubbing-wax-super-sticky.aspx
Brian, I really enjoy your guest fly tiers program. You guys always give us great advice and know you bring in some more talented people. What is next.
Thanks for watching and please stay tuned.
I've watched this like 8 times now....does anyone know what the name of this fly pattern is?
Edit: found it. The Squirrel and Herl Bugger. th-cam.com/video/XeaIoU9ei5g/w-d-xo.html
Thanks for watching 8 times!
That was only 27 tips. Ripoff! 😂
So sorry about that!!! Feel free to give Brian a call at the shop and he'll be happy to get you a discount.
@@Madriveroutfitters haha. Thanks but I’m just playing. Great video by the way!
Wow I’m glad I stopped and watched
