When learning maya we started out by making a solar panel with a thousand little cells. It was ridiculous and the computer ended up lagging super hard because I never deleted the history of the objects
THANKS I have learned more watching your video's in 1 night than the last month of other youtube video's. I can make objects now, I plan to watch all your video's.
I have been trying to figure this program out for a month now. Lost count of how many tutorials I have watched. Many, many. Now for the first time I think I am going to be able to actually make something. Very good, thorough, and easy to follow tutorial. Thank you so much.
Hi! I'm using this Corona Staycation to learn Blender. I'm only on #3, but I wanted to say that these have been really good so far! You're very knowledgeable and don't waste time. Plus, your upbeat attitude makes it very pleasant to follow along. Great work and thank you!
This is a perfect intro to blender 2.8 - I honestly haven't had something good to show students that was easy to follow till this, so thank you! Please, please, please keep making short project videos like you did with earlier versions of blender. Your videos are the best quickstart guides to blender on the internet!!!!
2 hours in on a udemy course on Blender and your video has covered more , and in greater detail in the first 20 mins.... This is the vid every newcomer should watch. Can't thank you enough... you got me up and running!
I waited so long for this video, well a couple days... but none of the other tutorials are ever as good as yours! Thanks so so much for this I've always dreamed of making 3D models and Animations, I can't thank you enough!
Your tutorials teached me a lot of thing from where i couldn't even do anything to making full blown animations. Your tutorials are well explained and i like it
!!! Yooooo I've given blender a try a handful of times in the past and it NEVER made sense to me, even when trying to follow other people's tutorials. It all just seemed so foriegn and complicated. But Your video/explanation made it finally seem doable! I definitely think this is something I could learn to get better at, thank you SO much dude. Seriously you're super great at breaking things down and explaining the hows and whys. You'd probably be amazing at teaching courses. Thanks again 🖤
Thank you! I love how detailed and in depth you get. It makes it easier to understand. I’m terrible at geometry but I really love animation and you are helping me understand it better so thank you! Keep up the great work!!!
Seriously brilliant, man. You have a great concept of how to teach and lead your viewers along. Because of your tutorials, I went from being intimidated by Blender's UI (I come from graphic design, Adobe Creative) to being eager every day to make something new. Thank you - hope you are safe and well
You are an incredible teacher! I have found other tutorials so frustrating - sometimes going over the same part 10 times to figure out what they were actually doing. Thank you, thank you, thank you so much for this great tutorial. I hope your students appreciate you as much as everyone here seems to! :D
oh damn, this is so refreshing after watching a review where the guy went "press shift+f then press keypad 5 and press ctrl+alt+tab+right shift then hold w and k for 2 seconds, tap the side of your screen, press y, then n, then press tab twice and tada!" without explaining what was what and what the hotkeys were doing. THIS is how you teach properly.
your tutorials are Awesome so easy to follow ,understand, I can understand every word you say, the first time you say it Thank-you for your time and effort
Seriously, I am absolutely loving these. I learned how to 3D model in 3ds max a decade ago and finally wanted to pick up blender just for fun and this has been so incredibly helpful!
Gosh! You're so patient and sharing your amazing knowledge with love which is perfect for my small brain and so new to this blender. Super thanks and glad that I've found your channel!
BEST TUTORIAL OUT THERE!!! Helped me make stuff a lot better. I used to be super bad at blender but this has helped soooooo much! THANK YOU!!! Best tutorial for blender out there!
This is extremely helpful, thank you so much. I'm not even completely new to Blender but still learned a bunch of useful things from you. Perfect for beginners too.
Amazing tutorial. I just want to thank you for the effort and thoroughness that clearly went into this. I also love that you include the handy shortcuts, I usually don't find out about those for wait too long into learning a new program!
Thank You! This was so easy to follow and understand. I like it when instructors explain things in a nice even paced tone. Most but not all others seem like they've had their 5th cup of coffee or Red Bull and it becomes frustrating to follow. Maybe a Modeling and Material tutorial in the future.
Coming from SketchUp this is very difficult package. This tutorial showed very good start to do something useful. No doubt this is lot more keystrokes and scaling the house is also another exercise. But thank you for showing the real use of this software in very simple straightforward demo. Saying verbally the keys being used is really helpful.
S -> Z -> 0 -> Enter (50:30) has changed my life, I used to move the mouse into the tool modifier, click type, then have to zero out the other two axis I didn't want to modify like a damn neanderthal. I came to you just trying to figure out what things were new in 2.8, I'm leaving with more skills than I can handle.
Thank you so much for this tutorial. It’s so helpful! I’ve been trying to learn 3D software for a few weeks and this is by far one of the most helpful tutorials I’ve seen... keep it up!
Thag extrude to cursor made making sticks very quick and painless, I could make them wind bend like a real stick with no hassle, didnt know it existed. Thank you!
Very helpful, I learned how to model in 3D studio Max for 3 years, but given how expensive it is most smaller companies don’t use it, so I’m having to swap over to Blender and this tutorial is very handy to figure out the software layout
Thanks for your comment! I used 3ds Max for about 4 years in university before being introduced to blender for work and HATING it for a week or two. Flash forward 11 years and now I couldn't do the simplest things in Max. 😜😉
Just started learning Blender so I can make 3D Unity games (I've made a 2D game before) 😄 You, my friend, make the best tutorials! You have earned a sub from me! 😀You are fantastic at explaining how Blender works!
I just started my journey in blender watching your tutorials. I hope , you will upload some good tutorials for beginners for their basics. Keep up your good work. Thanks
Holy macaroni, I'm learning Blender since a couple of weeks or maybe 2 months now and always wondered where those double faces and vertices came from (and fixed it by manually deleting them). So, I knew I was doing something wrong, but I didn't know what. I thought right clicking while extruding just cancels/aborts. So thanks for this nice video. It is very helpful.
Very nice. I think the reason for the skewing is because all the vertices are being moved an equal distance away, and so that the diagonal vertices causes the skew because it is the same length, which leads to it being not as high or wide as the others.
Hi, I am learning Blender way to learn new software during my stay at home days. Your turorial is very good and your presentation ways-verbal as well as on software, are too good. will now move on to your next blender tutorial. Thanx very much.
Hi! You never lose the professional touch you always give to your videos, aren't you? Anyway, since you're the best blender teacher I've encountered on youtube so far (believe me I've seen a lot -_-), are you planning to cover the complex world of sculpting in the next future? I absolutely need that part, and you are the only one I recognize to have that wonderful Quality/Efficiency/Professionality touch!! Pls save our poor souls from ignorance!! 0_0
@@BornCG Thank for your response! Okay then, I guess I'm gonna have to dive deep into it and in the meanwhile I'll take the most out of your great vids! Keep it up, and hopefully the goddess of sculpting will help us;)
Done and done! Will you be addressing making corrections to topology in the future? I would also love to learn how to add materials. Thank you very much for your tutorial!
Do you plan on doing a video on how to apply multiple textures and baked shadows to a building interior and exterior that can be exported as a collada file? Thanks again
This may not apply to everyone, but if you get sleepy while watching a tutorial about something I highly recommend you speeding up the video. You can speed the video by clicking settings -> playbackspeed and then chose whichever fits your needs. Good Luck at getting better at everything.
Thanks for this recap... it's always good rediscover the basics another good one for the Offset Loop cut i use: CTRL+R and then use the mouse wheel ... ;) best regards.
I am/was in my final year of sixth form before the Corona virus cut the last year short. This meant I was left with 6 WHOLE MONTHS off, and due to being high risk I can't really do much. I decided to learn new skills that would help with the television production degree I'll be starting in September at university, and then help further on in my working life. These videos are by far the best and easiest to follow which I have found so thanks tremendously. One thing I'm still slightly struggling with is making character models. I'm trying to make a semi realistic but still cartoon character - similar to those which you may find in Pixar animated films. If you had any tips on that, it's be much appreciated
Hey, thanks for helping me learn how to model I've been looking for a tutorial for quite some time now and these are helping me so much can't wait for the next one! Hopefully, it's texturing
Facing a little bit problem after doing loop cut on the middle for the roof Vertical and then using the loop cut again on vertical but instead of the full loop, it shows only halfway like wither right or left depending on the cursor. Thank you for the videos. Its helping me a lot.
I love it when people are still used to right clicking, their brain is still trained for right clicking. I've just started using Blender, so don't have this problem, lol
Great tutorial. The Loopcut and slide (Ctrl + R) has a great advantage you didn't mention. If you click for the cut and then scroll the mousewheel you can change the number of cuts on the fly. The smooth option can also be very helpful. If you are interested, I have a video about the Loopcut and slide.
Yep, this is the right tutorial. Always start with cute small houses when you learn 3D Modeling.

If you are confused using tools such as extrude, bevel, inset face, this is a must watch tutorial.
I strongly recommend it.
Thanks for the video.

if you have trouble with making roof, make sure you did not have extra edges in middle of face, just go back to solid cube and make cuts once again!
Some great little tips there - Such as Shift-selecting to activate vertex, edge, and face modes all together.
