I'm glad bro didn't take the bate to Bayern Munich. He might've ended up like Thomas Tuchel
That club is a mess
@@thomasdarronBayern munich in mess are prime of many clubs
@@Bayernmunich1234but the thing is people expect a lot from a big club like bayern. You cannot defend your club like that. It is best to admit your club’s downfall this season and hope for a better development in other seasons
@@Bayernmunich1234is this what bayern fans are telling themselves now. your time of winning the mickey mouse league 30x straight is over lol. time to get used to this buddy.
It’s good to see Bayern don’t always get what they want. They keep poaching the best from everyone else in Germany for so long it’s rare that they don’t get their man.
No Bayern,Real always get what they want. So Alonso also go to Real.
its also quite amazing that he isnt going to liverpool, they will struggle hard after klopper leaves
This time is over now! ;-)
Wait are you telling me that Sky Sports German journalist who kept waffling on how Alonso is going to Bayern didnt join Bayern? What a shocking surprise😃
What was his name again? Absolute 🤡 that one
😂😂😂… the one with the cloggs…
Maybe you should learn to read before writing absolute nonsense, no1 ever reported that hes going to Bayern, all they reported on was that according to people around him was that he would have preferred Bayern over Liverpool if he decided to leave.
So did thousands of Liverpool fans waffling all over social media “We will get Alonso yNwA”
Plettenberg? 😂
Great decision by Xabi Alonso to stay put, It would've been a huge jump, he must test himself again next season then take it from there
Bayern has been buying their league trophies over these years. Either they buy the best players of their rivals or the best manager in the league. Thank you Xabi for denying them that opportunity this time. Bayern now have to compete to get their next trophy.
They hardly bought the best manager when they signed Kovac. And what "best" players of other Bundesliga clubs did they buy the last couple of years? Upamecano or Goretzka? Neuer over a decade ago? Yes, Lewandowski (who wanted to leave Dortmund anyways).
Gnabry was playing abroad, Sane was playing abroad. Kane, Coman, both from different leagues.
Of course they would sign very good players and not poor performing players. But other teams signed players within the Bundesliga, too. When Dortmund signed Füllkrug, their aim was to weaken Bremen?
I am glad that this decade of dominance is over, at least for one season. Back in the 80s, 90s, 00s Bayern never was this dominant. And it became unhealthy for the league. But the first couple of years when Bayern build this dominance with a golden generation of players (Lahm, Schweinsteiger etc.) they also brought in excellent managers and external ideas (van Gaal, Heynckes, Guardiola). Later they thought success would be normal and they slipped into mediocre decisions. Like signing a manager like Kovac, like promoting Kahn to be boss of the club. They thought it is enough be be a former Bayern player and that was a mistake.
You literally have no clue what you’re talking about
@ProMo12321 yes, you have no clue if you can't see how they have indirectly been buying the league trophies over these years.
As expected? I thought the press were pushing the idea that he would leave Leverkusen for Liverpool as a forgone conclusion for months now
The media is the ones making thus in to a drama story, Alonso was never going to Bayern and Liverpool obviously. Knew he wasn't going to them.
Bayern Munich thought that they can buy all the best rival managers, players, and staffs. They are proven to be delusional when they sacked Julian naglesmann and appointed Thomas tuchel and they thought Thomas tuchel would win them another champions league or treble, but now they ended up being trophyless for more than a decade.
As a livepool fan i'm ok with it. Good luck for Xabi in Leverkusen 🙏
Me too. Everyone loves hating on us.
@@d3adp94 seems so. Well, let them be. Rather than focus on hatred, lets use our time to support more of our club 🙂👍🙏

@@thztan7492 YNWA brother!
@@pus1546Ahhh yes… Germany… it’s like an exotic country 😍
We all know he's snubbed Bayern and Liverpool to join Madrid next summer
Xabi Alonso could be the next Diego Simenone in the Bundesliga. Leverkusen have everything they need to be like Atletico Madrid.
No way !
Leverkusen has been on an extraordinary roll this season, nothing more and nothing less !
As soon as they lose and they will, things will normalise again.
There is no way they will be anywhere near winning anything next season.
It happened to so many surprise teams and so many managers who where celebrated one season and everything went wrong the next !
Look at Claudio Ranieri .
Celebrated at Leicester for winning the Premier League and sacked the very next season as things suddenly didn't go as smooth....
Sometimes it's better to leave when you reached your climax as things won't get better!
I’m not even that surprised for this guy’s decision. Even if Bayern was his old club, it’s too much responsibility and too much pressure on him to actually impress the club and their fans. Bayer leverkusen is much of a slower pace, it’s allowing him to evolve as a coach, maybe when the time comes for a new move for bigger clubs, it has to be in his own pace and for now…let him work his craft in a smaller club like bayer leverkusen. You can’t rush or force him to bend his will for you, he has to do it at his own pace.
One word - SMART. You don't just happen to play in legendary Madrid and Bayern teams and win trophies, while working under two of the best managers (Jose and Pep) by fluke. He has lived different cultures and speaks different languages. Alonso is intelligent, articulate, and knows EXACTLY what he's doing.
He will manage in the Champions League next season, where no one is expecting Leverkeusen to pull up any trees. If they do well again in the Bundesliga, he'll get credit. But if they don't, it'll be attributed to their European exertions, players being bought by other clubs, etc. He will not be faulted and his reputation will remain intact. He will also be seen as someone that is loyal and does not abandon projects at the first sight of a better opportunity. That's a win-win-win scenario if I ever saw one.
Contrast that with going to Pool, where Klopp's shadow looms large. Let someone else step in and fail there. Also, why go to Bayern, where it's a circus? Even adding the best striker and defender in Europe - Kane and Kim - they could not win anything. They have deep-rooted problems that need sorting out. Instead, Alonso can just stay put at Leverkeusen and bide his time until Ancelotti leaves Madrid in 2026, and then he can go take over Los Blancos where he will manage Vinicius, Bellingham, and M'Bappe - all potential Ballon D'or winners!
He will definitely be at Real in 2025 and will take the experience of potentially playing in the CL with Leverkusen with him.
Great decision from Xabi.
So after all the BS and expert opinions...Alonso stays...Hilarious...Bayern only team that go through more coaches than Chelsea
Respect to Alonso for not going to Bayern. Liverpool will figure it out, but Klopp is hard to replace.

Fair play to Alonso!
Wishing Alonso the very best.
Hope he becomes Liverpool Manager one day in the future
Alonso wants Real Madrid
I honestly thought of that as well.. of his three former big teams is the only one which wasn’t available
Imagine the shock at Bayern. They weren't able to take what they want from a German club. The people running Bayern must be absolutely baffled.
*Absolute nonsense. Bayern knew Xabi's character, they knew he wouldn't leave as long his contract goes.*
@@NicholasCorvin I think you missed the point
0:08 AH YES! JEFFE Alonso! what amazing player and coach!
Alonso is waiting for Real Madrid
You sure? His career was raised in Liverpool, he'll never forget what club raised his career, he just wants leverkusen to have more success
Nah I think he's playing it smart and having a more natural career trajectory. Remember when folk were accepting Gerrard to replace Klopp down the line because he won 1 league in Scotland? Look at Gerrard now. Moving about too much in a short space of time is not good for anyone. His third Job shouldn't be Real Madrid or Liverpool imo.
You're right. Perez asked him not to move from Leverkusen this year. Perez has already fixed him for Real Madrid in 2025
@@farhannn___38any manager would take real madrid job over Liverpool lol
My grandmother can win the leage and champions leage with real.
Frank or Montemurro as manager with Phillips and Dowie as assistant managers.
Good and smart decision by Xabi Alonso. He needs to have UCL experience before jumping to mange bigger clubs.
As a manager/player, you got to be smart and know when to make the right move. Build you small team and stay there and try let them become top level
Tbf many managers make the mistake of jumping to a big club at first chance when some of them might not be ready, that said, it’s understandable for anyone to jump at a better job when is offered to them (we all will) so it really shows the character Xabi really is and how he is backing himself here. He believes that he will get another shot at a top, or even better, club than Bayern and Liverpool
I think he has received a lot of love
Do you get your information from frabrizo Romano?
Alonso made the right decision. Just you have one good season should not make you aim for a different, better job automatically. He know, he has a good job at the moment. A good squad, a club that backs him and would do if results would be not as exceptional as they are now.
Moreover, if he moves away from Leverkusen just after one great season, how could he talk to players and make them stay at a club when they are in a similar situation? How could he expect players to be loyal etc.? He now showed his players that they can trust and rely on him. This trust builds a connection. He sends the message: We are not finished. This is not a one season project and the results of this season are not the end of the journey. This is good for him to make his players stay over the end of the season. And it will help him in the long run as a manager because clubs know that he is not a short term thinking manager. He will be there to stay if clubs trust him. The experience of managing a club for a longer time is important in this stage of his career.
Regarding Bayern's new manager. Although German media speculated about many German managers, I think they should go for a foreigner. Someone who brings something from outside, even outside German football culture.
Melissa Reddy talks like my son's primary school teacher talks to her class: very... slowly... as if... everything... she says... is very... complicated...
Good decision by Alonso. He still needs time to make mistakes with a smaller team and gaining much needed experience than to just jump to a bigger team which comes with a lot of pressure.
Gerard should take the job
We all knew he's waiting for the Real Madrid job.
Take Klopp instead!
Very Smart

Love sarcasm.
Typical Sky saying Alonso was “definetly “ going to Bayern.
The Club never said that . What they said was they were confident he would choose Bayern and he said as much , if he left , it would be Bayern and not Liverpool.
He was never going to Liverpool.
Good choice!
Melissa needs to have her sleeves tailored up
Liverpool pundits like Carragher handled this issue in a disgraceful and shameless manner. Openly courting a manager under contract in the media with the assumption that he will just up and leave to start chanting YNWA is pompous, arrogant and utterly distasteful.
Like watching a Liverpool fan channel
Hahaha indeed. Melissa Reddy is making no effort to hide she is a Liverpool fangirl.
Respect for loyalty im an arsenal support. It's good to see u can't always by ur way to victory like the richest clubs. alwayz do
Not sure what’s the fuss about. Melissa is quite articulate and a really good journalist ❤
If he actually stays, I'll be very happy. This is what I wanted when there were rumours that he's joining Bayern or Liverpool. If he does stay, it'll be great. I think it would have been too soon to have left Leverkusen. Especially while he's in the middle or basically the start of doing something special. I really want to see how far he can push Leverkusen. Especially in the champions league. No, they won't win it. But Emery took Villareal to the semi finals and lost that semi finals game to a strong Liverpool side. They did well against them in both legs and I want to see how Leverkusen will do. The new champions league format will change a lot of things though. I hope he stays and doesn't change his mind. Definitely hope they stay unbeaten all season in all competitions and win the second best treble. Europa League will be the toughest out of the three at this moment as I see Liverpool winning that. But a Leverkusen vs Liverpool final would be insane. If Leverkusen actually pull it off and go the whole season unbeaten, either in just the league, or all competitions. Bayer Neverlusen would be the perfect nickname. I hope I don't jinx it and they keep this up. They still have a couple of very tough games in the league
Liverpool may sign Naglesmann after the Euros. Unless he stays and wants to be there at the world cup too. Then I'm not sure who Liverpool are getting, if they don't get Naglesmann. Maybe RDZ
Crossing the i's and dotting the t's!
Ticking the boxes...
Let’s see how well he does next season after that Leverkusen squad gets picked apart in the summer transfer window. No way should we consider him again in the future, should next season go tits up and Real Madrid look elsewhere after Ancelotti.

To be honest i don't mind Julian Nagelsmann, his tactics and playing style are quite similar as Jurgen klopp too.
The top 2 for the Liverpool jobs are Almiron and Southgate.
Closely followed by Postocoglou but Daniel Levy won't sell him and Spurs have high ground on Ange with 2 years left on his contract, plus Ange is a Liverpool fan.

Who the hell “Jaffi Alonzo”… these media people are just disrespectful.
Alonso's waiting for Madrid, News have come out that Guardiola has suggested De Zerbi to Barcelona and Milan would like to replace Pioli with De Zerbi, The top 3 candidate's for the Liverpool job are;-
1. Almirom
2. Postacoglou (Impossible with Levy)
3. Southgate (Sounds so FSG)
Now here's the Manopoly, 3 Clubs, United, Bayern & Dortmund,
If United stay with ten Hag, Flick will go to Bayern and Nagelsman to Dortmund, Klopp will take the Germany job after the Euros, If United sack ten Hag, they will go Nagelsman, Bayern will take ten Hag and Flick to Dortmund, an Outside shout for United is Motta, If by some miracle I see Ange at Liverpool, Spurs will take Potter, Xavi if he leaves he will go to Brighton and I honestly see Tuchel at West Ham next Season.
Edit;- There's no way in Hell I see Inzaghi moving from Inter, He will stay at Inter almost forever, only the Italian Job might change his mind.
Bayern might have been the only ones in for him, with the way its been reported on here
If Alonso wins the German title this season, he may do it again in the next campaign. Hence, creating a history for himself at the club. Jumping ship to Liverpool may be a very risky gamble for him. He may end up empty-handed and back fired after succeeding Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool. The wealth of past glories at Liverpool may in fact be a handicap to them as the expectation is
Bayern should be ashamed of themselves, sabotaging the competition by getting their manager. This has ruined Bundesliga
No decent managers out there. Utd Chelsea Liverpool & Munich all need managers. Hopefully Southgate will be available after the Euro's
Now thats a good news 😅
Future is inevitable, he is destined for Real Madrid in 2025
Their favourite son Gerrad is a disaster of a manager not even considered after years planning in thinking he would be the "perfect candidate"
Then they went for probably the next Guardiola in Xabi Alonso who might not Leave Leverkusen
So In the end,Liverpool will go for Didier Deshamps who should be available after the Euros..with MBAPPE joining him as their 1st signing after a remarkable turnaround...

I mean.. Its a simple case of if he doesnt want to join Liverpool, we dont want him either. Better have someone who truly wants to, good example is Endo. No one really knew him and rivals laughed at him. Still pocketed KDB, Caicedo and many others and keeps going. It is what it is, rejections happen in sports and those rejections may very well end up being a blessing.
Liverpool however seems to be living rent free in your little head, must be hard for you.

He was never going to Liverpool
More like he wanted to cement his credentials with titles before moving on. At Real or Bayern, if he doesn't get things up and running within a season, he would be fired. His qualities as a manager would come into question publicly. Leverkusen are set and just getting started. Why leave a good and sure thing, where margins for error are acceptable for topsy-turvy places?
