My recommendation is if possible rent a unit short time (Airbnb) in the building you want and make sure you like it. Also be aware of time of day and if any bars or night clubs are close by. Enjoy the music when out with the mates not so much when its everyday.
Thats true, although if ever booking an airbnb at a large condo like this, don't tell anyone. There's a law which prohibits any rentals under 30 days, although people still advertise their properties on airbnb for less. Just gotta keep quiet about it 😉
One of my pals told me to do that before I bought my place in Bangkok. I hadn’t even thought about it. Done a weeks airbnb in a few buildings then decided what place to get. I was lucky because the place I really liked was a nightmare when I stayed the week in the place.
I like your remarks about how costly trying to save 3000 baht in rent may actually be. I am reminded of Ben Franklin's famous quote: "The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten".
Ive been going to Thailand since 2005. I get condos up top with great air flow. Then you dont need air con and can train/bang even harder as you dont get dehydrated from the air con. Ive never had a car and got a vasectomy. I get to save 95% of my income as a result!
Nice condo tour, I live in Chiang Mai and pay roughly the same for my condo. I have a little more space in terms of the apartment itself, but definitely less facilities. You can't really go wrong though with Thailand wherever you decide to live.
I lived in CM for a year. I paid 10k for a 1 BR 50 sqm with balcony overlooking the mountains. I love CM but it's too remote and I miss the ocean. Leaving Cebu City in a week and off to Jomtien.
Thanks Ryan . Very inspiring videos which have given me the courage to finally book a 3 week holiday to thailand . Your first video is so similar to my story , it really made a new life seem achievable for me also ... it moved my thoughts into actions... Thank you .
Have you considered doing a 1 week of your life now settled from Monday morning to Sunday eve but also give costings and times ect .How much time you work against play and what there is to do there as I'm also into fitness and yoga . Can I do some training and yoga on the beach sunrise or sunset ? Just an idea . Thanks again .
Your presentation and rational is perfectly suited for the Western traveler or retiree..... These are my parameters to living in Asia.... Having a decent and comfortable place to stay and my own transportation is key having a free and reliable living circumstance... The place is on the smaller side. but the quality and newness factor i think would make the difference in my mental state in that space... good job.... you are on the spot with your presentation...
I love this about condos in Thailand it is not just a flat you rent but you have access to gym pool etc etc :) just a flat where I live is about 450USD not including electric.

Ryan, very well done video. I am moving over from the states in spring. Had been looking around Jomtien Beach. However, your area and beach setting is fantastic. Two questions, how close are you to the bhat bus route and how far from the nearest night market? Thanks, John

Nice to see a farang still enjoying Western tea. Here in Canada, the two main brands of orange-pekoe tea are "Red Rose" and "Tetley". I do not know if you ever saw these while living in the UK. Have you seen them in Thailand?
Awesome place you have got yourself 😎 I tried to stay in the Pattaya area when I was first looking for a place in Thailand and took a 6 month lease out but I had to be honest with myself and admit I’ve no self control to stay in 😂 Now I only do the odd weekend down there for a blowout 😀
Great video. My wife and I are heading to Thailand tonight traveling from the Philippines and will be in Pattaya Oct 5 for a few days. Appreciate the info, new sub and will check out your others.
I've been to the Philippines and thailand. I'm not big on this bar girl thing. Seem like a lot of foreigners go there for bar girls that seems like an incredibly unwise way to spend money. I stayed an hour from Chiang Rai saw 3 foreigners in 25 days. Loved it. Way cheaper than even Chiang Mai and more traditional I would say
Awesome, good luck! Maybe it's a little early but you could time it right where a tenant moves out around that time and you could set up a moving in date. Get some emails sent out and see what you can arrange 👍
Thank you for that. Nice place . I'm moving out there next month for a year at least. I reckon you're right about not trying to save a few quid . I know you said Facebook. But can you recommend any other real estate agent's? . Just subscribed to your channel
Hey, thanks for the sub! Good luck when you move here, you'll love it. In terms of real estate agents I only know the Facebook groups. This was advertised on Facebook by the sales office of this condo. The best thing to do is to book a hotel for 3-7 days, and within that time drive around and just walk into any condo asking to look at their rooms and rental prices. You can get a list of places to visit on Facebook and most condos have a sales office similar to this one where they can show you on the day anything that's available 👍

HAHAAAA! It's Cozy Beach View LOL!! I stayed there 7 MONTHS AGO! 😂😂😂😂. NO UNITS AVAILABLE FOR THAT PRICE. I WAS THERE FOR TWO MONTHS. IT'S Standard $550 PLUS utilities. About $650 USD/month. Was a good view. Good place. $5 or less to Walking Street.
The name is Cosy Beach View Condo. Unfortunately pratumnak is up a hill so I don't think the baht buses come this way, I do see them but not sure if they're on some kind of route. Night Market is down the hill so I have a motorbike although there's lots of bolt/taxi drivers around
Hey Brother I was not going to ask the name of the condo Community cuz I figured you wouldn't give it if you were still going to be living there but the next video it said that you were staying in England at least for the meantime if you could tell me the name of that complex that's the type of area and the type of amenities I would like and good on you for recognizing the things that you needed to change to keep yourself happy and productive only if more people could do that thank you if you can get me the name of that complex
Are you paying the cheaper government subsidised (electricity and water) rates or the usually higher rate which the the condo management company is charging you? The invoice is the clue on which one you're paying.
If you lock into a 6 or 12 month contract, the price will remain the same each month. Because of this, if you can secure a good deal in the low season (around now), that price remains even throughout the high season
how late at night can you access the pool area in these condos? one thing that annoys me with hotels in Pattaya is they lock the pool about 7pm. not for swimming, I 'd just like to sit out there with my laptop rather than on the balcony but can't.
Hey mate, thank you for showing the place. I have a silly question though... What about security? Do you feel comfortable leaving your laptop/wallet/phone in these condos when you go to the gym, or leave the complex for a walk?
Yes the doors are almost safe-like quality, very thick and double lock. The security is 24/7 and they monitor the barrier constantly. You have to have a key card to get in and also a key card to go up any levels, so it's pretty secure 👍
This place is secure. They have (sleepy) guards at the front gate/door 24/7. There's no sketch re anyone living there. No sketch comes in unless someone brings her in.
Nice apartment for that price. I'm not living in Thailand but I've seen a lot of high prices for apartments in Bangkok lately. Can I ask for your visa? How can you stay for 6+ months? Do you have a multi-entry visa? Or a student/language school visa? Or an elite one?
Bangkok is very pricy from what I saw a few months ago, especially if you want a semi good location that isn't a 30 minute BTS ride away from the centre. Do you have a work permit there lad or one of those student or Muay Thai visa that everyone is using
Unfortunately I don’t use facebook, can you please let me know where I can rent a condo for the same price as you are paying at the cosy beach view.
Many thanks - 🙏😊🇬🇧
I would recommend coming here and visiting the sales office on ground floor, they'll show you around the available rooms. They have a website which there is contact details on - cosybeachview.com/
