    Managed to get our 3 inch lift kit into the 70th Anniversary 76series wagon!
    This video we run through a quick peek at the install and a sit down chat discussing why we designed this kit and what makes it so different to others.
    This suspension system has our whole heart and soul put into it, right down to the custom rear leaf springs that I was determined we could get more out of!
    Anyone can sell you a lift kit, but we have set out to bring you what you’ve been missing out on. A kit completely optimised for the 70 series at 3 inch lift and 315 tyres.
    ✅Fully QLD VSB engineered (lane change tested)
    ✅Legal lift and GVM increase compatible
    ✅Optimised long shock lengths
    ✅Custom radius arms w/ diff push
    ✅ABS relocations
    ✅Handbrake relocation
    ✅Brake upgrade (for GVM and 315’s)
    ✅Airbags for load variances/towing
    ✅Custom made rear leaf packs (not just 2 inch heavy packs with an extended shackle)
    ✅Also available in parabolics to suit 79 single & dual cabs
    Every nut, every bolt, every spacer. A fully comprehensive solution to optimising your suspension post registration.
    Kit is available to suit both DPF and pre DPF 79/78/76 Landcruisers, engineering only covers Pre-DPF models currently. (DPF engineering coming!)

    You guys have done a quality job engineering this. I didnt realise it was a 76 series either. I thought it was a 79 initially from earlier videos.
    I like you have gone through multiple suspension setups and finally have been running the Dobinson MRR 3 ways and can say they are the best not only on the Australian market but also the international market. The J Race stuff will definately make an impact on the Aussie market and hopefully for you guys the international market. Keep up the good work.

    Definitely one thing to take into account once you hit a 3inch lift camber on the leaves...lots of shackles inverting due to the dynamics of the spring shape once you bend them that far. Good looking 76. Keen to see how it goes.

    • @DanieSimpson
      @DanieSimpson  ปีที่แล้ว

      most leaf springs aren't 3 inch they are two inch with an extended shackles and unfortunately the few 3" leaf packs available won't be made to suit the vehicle they're installed into. Majority of leaf vehicles would require spring hangers to be moved, redesigned etc
      Our 3inch spring is custom designed to suit the 76 and our engineers analyse each design and take into account many different factors to ensure they are suited in every regard.
      Ours have been in for a year now and undergone testing at over 4T, while still articulating brilliantly offroad. So were happy to report they're going very well:)

    great video, as I live in queensland and thinking very hard about getting a 70s series this channel is even more interesting. While I have many question I guess the first would be about the 3 inch kits. Yes it tricky to find them and how good they are. What about the Superior Engineering one. I can full understand conflicts of interest no stress I deal with that on a daily basis

    • @DanieSimpson
      @DanieSimpson  ปีที่แล้ว

      oh that's awesome to hear!
      yes superior was certainly one of our first options as I've run a number of their components in my vehicle before. Unfortunately all there kits at the time for the 76 come with standard 2" springs and an extended shackle which means it's not legal on road. Alot of other 3" leaf springs we found were also poorly designed for the 76 and results in a terrible ride and not ideal wheel travel.
      Hence how this kit came about. We designed our own setup that is able to be engineered for on road use and is comfortable but most importantly actually articulates offroad:)

      Also when do you think you kit will be on the market

    • @DanieSimpson
      @DanieSimpson  ปีที่แล้ว

      @monad00 no that's incorrect. what size tyre depends on your vehicle, its not limited to one size. NSW can go +7% over factory (which for the 70series is 35") and can even go above this +7% with certification.
      NSW can also have their ride height increased up to 6" including suspension/body/tyres with certification.
      and yes our kit has been available for almost a year now.

  • @intimatespearfisher

    The only advantage I can think of in a 3 inch lift is water crossings.
    After stopping several mates rolling these things ( lots of rock packing and winching) I would want 35's and no lift. I know that's not possible without panel work 😂.
    Looks cool though!

    • @DanieSimpson
      @DanieSimpson  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      if a vehicle isnt stable offroad its generally due to a poor suspension setup, incorrect springs/shock valving, removal of stability components or poor weight distribution ie. roof top accessories.
      2-3" is perfect happy medium for good clearance and good CoG

    Nice work! Last time I looked at 3” for a modern vehicle in QLD there were no lane change facilities in QLD that could cater for ESC vehicles. And therefore it was only pre registered or older non ESC vehicles that could legally run 3” with a lane change cert/engineering. Has this since changed? Thanks.

    • @DanieSimpson
      @DanieSimpson  ปีที่แล้ว

      always been plenty of places offering lane change testing in QLD. Regardless if the vehicle has ESC or not, the lane change test is the same. ESC vehicles then require further additional testing of which there's only a handful of places in the country that can carry out this testing.
      Any registered vehicle with ESC regardless of model year needs to complete both of the above mentioned tests for lifts about 2". Registered vehicles that have been mod plated without passing the required testing are still not legal and can be pulled off the road.
      Only change is now you can certify 4" suspension

    • @DanieSimpson
      @DanieSimpson  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      how a vehicle handles will come down to a wide array of factors such as cog, weight, spring rate, shock valving etc
      This vehicle has passed all handling and brake tests with this kit in an unloaded state and a loaded to over 4T state.
      2" requires no certification and also requires alot less parts. 2" is more than suitable for most vehicles, 3 and 4" kits require significantly more parts and testing.

      Definitely not. I love my parabolic springs and we install and supply them into many vehicles, I am not sponsored by Terrain Tamer.
      Jrace Industries is a dealer for Terrain Tamer and they often send through products to test and provide feedback on from an install perspective. I then choose to share my opinion for those who are interested.
      This is a 3-4" kit and Terrain Tamer do not offer a parabolic spring at those lengths so we have designed our own spring to suit.

      any shackle on any vehicle can invert, this is often resolved by using the correct length spring with the correct rate for the weight of the vehicle and by using anti-inversion shackles
