If I didn't have one mask then I would have attempted dhim to get a save point but NOO there has to be barely any enemies near that place so I have to walk ages to get the fricking crystal heart I hate how infuriating this game is

I wanted the crystal heart my friend told me about. Started watching this, heard I needed the desolate dive. So then I watched your video about THAT. 15 minutes... oh boy. With a lot of trouble and a death, got to the soul master, killed him first try ez claps, decided not to fight the soul tyrant, went all the way back to crystal peaks, followed THIS guide, DIED AGAIN, but ultimately got the crystal heart. In total I just played for about 5 hours straight and now I've gone insane, but I have 2 new abilities... so thanks! Also you informed of conifer's location in crystal peaks, something I've needed for a long time, AND you informed me of the relic shop in the city of tears that I had no idea existed, so I made like 3.5k from him and upgraded my nail, and almost sold out the fly thingy in dirtmouth so now I have a 6th life and bonus soul. MAN that was an adventure
Haven't been looking to any guide ... but after getting the Dream Nail, i got very stuck since i don't have the Double Jump, the lantern nor the Crystal Heart, thanks for the content, now i know what to be done in order to proceed.

You can get in the grove by spending roughly 120 geo to open a gate, however you need the lamp to do so. This entrance is also closest to that first bench and the crossroads stagway.
DO NOT GO TO CRYSTAL PEAK WITHOUT A LANTERN. I repeat: DO. NOT. GO TO CRYSTAL PEAK WITHOUT A LANTERN. Trust me on this one guys. You wont be able to find your way out of Crystal Peak easily.

James Newton surprisingly I beat the soul master and I only got like 150 geo... idk if I didn’t get a lot or something or what, I had 990 going into it and I only left with 1120 (estimated numbers) I felt a bit robbed...
You can farm the moss knights by the greenpath stagway, there are three, one of which never respawns as it guards a grub, and there is a decent geo deposit by the two that respawn. They are in the area above the area the stagway connects to, and really fast to get to. To make them respawns you just need to sit on the stagway bench.

You Will Need: -Mothwing Cloak(for dashing) -Mantis Claw(for wall-jumping) -Desolate Dive OR Lumafly Lantern(for access) Recommended: -Nail Upgrade -Extra Mask(not really that necessary) -Lots of Rancid Eggs(they WILL make your journey easier as long as you’re not on Steel Soul,then they pretty much become pointless) Edit:you could also use monarch wings judging by that final obstacle

For anybody who doesn't want to fight the boss for the bench at 2:44, you can use the dream shield and just let it hit the boss (it won't wake him up) and you can look up where and how to get the dream shield (but beware of spoilers)

Quick tip for anyone without desolate dive who is looking to farm Lumafly Lantern. There is a mini boss in the forgotten crossroads (the first one you face that is really easy to beat just above the stag station in the area). If you go to the stag station bench and then defeat the boss it gives you 45 geo each time you kill it. Everytime you sit at the bench it resets this mini boss. It takes about 30 seconds to travel to the fight each time, but I tested it out as I just died twice and lost all my geo. Within about 15-20 minutes with just having a sharpened nail (level 2 nail) I got the 1800 geo for the lantern. Definitely an easy early game method if you're ever looking for a quick few geos
The boss you need to defeat to get the bench is fairly easy tbh, I beat it second try. Yet I would argue it's one of the best boss fights in the game because of how cool he looks
I think by the time I finally felt strong enough to do this task i was just crazy overpowered or something, because he took me less than a minute to beat first try. And I'm REALLY bad at this game.
This was a great walkthrough, I like how you speed up the sections just enough but keep enough regular speed and explanation so it doesn't get boring or tedious. Really nice job! Also your frustration @ 4:00 was palpable lol, I know that feeling all too well. This game is great but I can only play it for about an hour at a time or it can put me in a foul mood, it's a tough one for sure.
I cant believe I forgot about the upper conveyor belt (the 2nd one with the locked gate at 3:20 before entering the area where the Crystal Heart is). I always thought that was locked when it obviously wasnt. And I even went behind it a couple of times. *facepalm* I'm an idiot.
I’m crying and on the brink of death this area has brought me physical and emotional agony every time I see the colors purple and pink I collapse to the floor curl up in a ball and cry
Oh god, i’ve spent 2 hours looking for this ability and i’ve already found out about that area, and i thought you needed the crystal heart to access that area so i stopped trying to get through. Man, little did I know that was where the crystal heart actually was, lol.

hey thanks for the tipps i got lost so crasy in this game but i love it :) i have serious orientation problems :D ,today i found out that you can down attack those purple platforms that are turning around at 180° :)
I’m so used to playing on Xbox and since I started playing on pc I usually forget controls, but this really just helped a lot, I knew where to go before I just needed refresher I looked before but I couldn’t find it and it took 1 hour 30 minutes and I’m just bursting with joy it took so long and I finally got it😃😃😃

Tip for those platforms that spin over to hurt you with crystals. You can just nail pogo off them to reset them to normal so you can retry the jump.
They reset automatically...

I think lumafly lantern is the easiest way, I don't know how people can't save up 1800 geo if they've already beaten Soul master.

Why skip that boss? The crystal boss is way easier to beat than soul master for the desolate dive.
Honestly, when I first started the game it was hard. Now that thought is laughable.
I would say the crystal boss is easier cause you just got ro make sure you don't jump to early on his lazer and your pretty much fine
It took me like 5 tries to beat soul master and cryatal guardian 1.
Walter Clements for me it was opposite, died 0 times to crystal but got sent to hell 35 times by SM

OK being completely honest this was an amazing video I was so stuck on trying to find a crystal heart but I looked it up and you were the first video that came up and it really helped in the first video I ever saw by you was how to get the vengeful spirit and I begin considering subscribing but I definitely like the video and after seeing this video I’m just like I have to subscribe to this guy he’s amazing

I’m so used to playing on Xbox and since I started playing on pc I usually forget controls, but this really just helped a lot, I knew where to go before I just needed refresher I looked before but I couldn’t find it and it took 1 hour 30 minutes and I’m just bursting with joy it took so long and I finally got it😃😃😃
